Alibris

The last time I ordered a book from alibris they sent me the wrong book. It was very time consuming to try and get this corrected, and I still have not gotten the right book. We'll see if the same thing happens with this book.

I have been using Alibris for a long time and have always been satisfied with the service and with each of my purchases. The information available on the website helps me to choose the copy that will meet my needs and in the rare instances when a book turns out to be unavailable, communication has been prompt and polite.

I used express shipping (5-7 business days) and it got here on the 7th day. I added tracking ability in my order (for the package) which didn't update/work very well, but it still got to me in time so I'm not upset. Would recommend this store to anyone looking for textbooks. The quality of my textbook (that was second hand) is amazing.

I really like the Alibris website. It's easy to use and when checking out there's an option to "optimize" the order to save money. Helpful! I love the price options and being able to choose the copy that comes to me. I really appreciate that thrift store books are aggregated together so that I can shop across the country and buy books that might otherwise go to a landfill. I wish the shipping time were a little bit faster, however I am willing to wait for the price I pay.

HPB has drowned out legitimate independent sellers. It clogs the item lists with "shipments" from various "stores" it owns, but in fact, those "stores" all ship from the same warehouse. I know this because I once emailed one of its stores a question about a book, and the reply was that they couldn't check on any particular book because they're all shipped from a warehouse.

The service from alibris has been seriously degraded as a result. I wish you would do something about it.

I ordered a specialized dictionary of Americanisms in Spanish, which I could not find elsewhere at a reasonable price. The used copy from Alibris was a deaccessioned library book, absolutely immaculate, reasonably priced, and I have used it every day since I got it. A reference book fanatic's dream.

Always my place to go for used books. Great place to find older books out of print and great deals on newer books. I buy more books than I ever have in the past because books are affordable and it's good to be able to support booksellers.

An older movie recently came to mind. After a quick search on IMDB.com and then Alibris.com, I found the movie title and ordered a used copy. The order came on time and in the condition noted by the seller. The only hiccup was the DVD did not play in my older DVD player. It did play in my Blu-Ray/DVD player. I was happy with how it played and enjoyed the movie very much.

I have ordered many books from Alibris. The site offers me a list by author and by cost. I chose based upon cost and location of the seller. Every order has arrived in good condition and in a timely manner.

I am not impressed. If the order promises 3-10 days delivery, It should be delivered in that. Mine came in about 17 days. I had to get another copy of the book in the meanwhile since I needed it asap.

I tried to order these books through several other sites, where the prices were higher, the details harder to understand, and the checkout process complicated. This seemed relatively easy. I hope the books come fast and in the condition promised.

Including this order and all previous orders, I have been exceptionally pleased. All orders were as advertised and in all cases so far, exceeded the descriptions. Prices are great and service is outstanding and I have no hesitation recommending Alibris.

I recently received a book about my father's army unit in World War II. The book was in better condition than I expected and seems virtually new. It was well packed and quickly shipped. All in all, a perfect experience.

I always check on Alibris first of I'm looking to buy a book. I like to give a previously read book another lease on life by joining my library, and I like to pay less for my books. Alibris usually has whatever it is I'm looking for, making me a very happy bibliophile.

I wanted a book from Alibris, I ordered it, and I got it. All was fine and I moved on. The issue is being hassled for a survey a month after I placed my order for a cookbook from 1997. This level of monitoring isn't necessary; I got the book. Thanks. Please leave me alone.

Good selection and prices. I was looking for a book about beekeeping. There were several thee as t were in my price range which important to me as I am on a fixed budget. My son plans to take up beekeeping so I felt this would be a nice gift to give him. I appreciate a company that offers a good selection with competitive prices.

I much prefer the used book sites that show shipping as you look up each book … with this i have to go back and forth to figure how much each nook costs. Is a real pain. So i always chose thrift books first.
