I have ordered several times, always got the books in the condition as described. Didn't need to contact customer service. Only oddity that you need to be aware of is the price of shipping. $3.99 per book, or $2.99 for every additional book from the same seller. Gotta factor that into the price.
Never received book. Misplaced my order number so I'm screwed. They have conveniently blamed Covid-19 as rendering them incapable of contacting via phone.

They will list books as very good condition even when the cover is falling off, then refuse to refund your money even when you've returned the item. Stay away.
I placed an order for a number of books on the 4th July and Alibris charged me Euros 1,750.26 to my credit card. To date, only some have turned up. I put in a claim for the others about 6 weeks ago. I received an acknowledgment that I was to expect a reply within 48 hours. Nearly 6 weeks later I am still waiting.
