I ordered a book through alibris last year and it never arrived, it was in the middle of post office problems and during the covid spike so I figured I would let it go and try them again later, later. Later I made another order for a book that never arrived but the book seller set me another copy. In October and November I made some orders, andthe book arrived but in december, 2 cds I wanted sent to the UK as a gift got sent to an address in USA and another book that I ordered as a gift was sent to the recipient but another copy of the same book that I did not order was sent to me so I was charged for 2 books even though I only ordered 1 book. I wanted to avoid amazon so I was looking for an alternative but I have not gotten any response from alibris so from now on, I think the best option is to work with a local book store and order it though them (and you don't have to pay for postage that way)

Searches are easy to navigate. I like Alibris because of the United Airlines Mile thru United Mileage Plus shopping.

Great search function, fast page loads, overall a very smooth experience.

Easily found my book. Check out was quick and simple.

So far so good on this order. On a previous order I received only 2 of 3 ordered books from Alibris's own distribution site in Nevada. Have never received the third. It was Asimov's Foundation Trilogy. For me matching the edition covers of a set is important, so no random replacement would do. But no replacement was offered. On this order, however, so far so good.

Honestly the shopping experience really cannot be assessed until I receive the merchandise. I will say you did not have rhe hardcover title by this author I was looking for but no matter I found a nice copy at abeboooks. At this point all I am rating is my experience of filling out a form. So three stars for not presenting any particular annoyance. I used to buy from alibris and so assume I am a registered user though apparently not under my go-to email address. But then I did not see any opportunity to register again which I found odd. I must be wrong. That would just be too bizarre.

So far so good except that the sales tax calculated was not correct. It appears it charged me 8.8% instead of 8.2% where I live in the county and don't have to pay the city taxes.

There is a great selection of books and I was happy with the order consolidation/ automatic deal finding feature in the cart

I am delighted to find a very affordable price for an out of print book.

Always reliable, easy to search and check quality of product

I had a little difficulty checking out, but I eventually was able to check out and place my order.

Very pleased with the price of books but shipping is a negative on costs.

Three books that have not been available locally were offered at a reduced price for hardback on this site.

I'm a first-time shopper and just paid several dollars more for shipping than I did for the books, including a book that did not have a photo image. But I need the book so I took the plunge. I trust I can return it if the copy is in poor condition (the description says it is in good condition).

Stop trying to sign me up for your newsletter. I had to opt out (which is already annoying) twice (which is insulting).

I find what I need shipping, is high but prices of books compensate for it.

Very easy and i found everything i was looking for.

It would be nice if you knew the shipping cost before you got to checkout
