I had a seller lie about a book that they sold me on Albris, and had to return the book, Albris gave me a coupon because I lost the shipping charge, and the coupon was good for less than 30 days... Probably will not buy much from Albris. My first choice will be other sites, and the other 2,000 members in my group have learned of the way that you treat your customers, any other site would've made the seller pay shipping charges and not make a buyer that was lied to lose the money... Think about it from a buyers perspective.

Most of the sellers have been prompt. I've always received my orders within a reasonable time with the exception of one book.

Alibris almost always has what I want and shopping is secure.

Ordering is fantastic, the prices you honestly cannot beat. Even other online competitors cant keep up. Shopping here feels like going to your local mom and pop bookshop. The only problems ive encountered had been with in transit. Any time i order an odd number of books, one is ALWAYS damaged because of their packaging. Itd be nice if they put a blank spacer so that one book isnt being at the mercy of getting entirely bent in half in transit.

You really make it easy to order. Not the usual hassle I have to go through and for that I thank you.

I was so happy to find these books - Vinyl Cafe series by Stuart McLean - but dismayed when I got the total with shipping. It's pretty hard to believe that it would really cost $40+ to ship 8 books, mostly paperbacks. I understand the reasoning, but truly, it does mean that I'm not going to rush back to purchase via Alibris. It seems to me that there should be a way to negotiate when there are a number of books - and come up with a shipping amount that reflects reality. And knocking off a dollar a book is not enough when you buy a bunch of items from the same seller. I do get it, really I do, that sellers plan to make some money on the shipping, but that becomes a burdensome policy to customers. I bought 8 different books, 7 from the same seller to get the tiny discount. Our local library has none of the books by this author, and only 2 used bookstores, which tend to only take in well known books. It's hard to have to rely on an internet where shipping costs are so high.

Easy to use and did not encounter any issues in placing the order.
