So annoyed that so many professors adopt this program. Just because it is on a computer does not mean it is increasing our knowledge old people. It is time-consuming! I have 19 credits and this program is nuts. So buggy! I can't express how much I honestly hate this program. Every time I log on I want to throw my computer across the room. Yes, I am bitter and I decide to take a break from this crud program to vent! Why should I have a knowledge check after putting in so many hours, just to have to go back and redo the topic? The people who developed this program did not have the user in mind. I honestly hate you. Keep your inventions to yourself. Peace out!
The other day I was doing Aleks for my hw and then I submitted the question correctly and It said it was wrong! I just absolutely loath Aleks! Why does the website exist, I wonder if the people who make Aleks wanted to torture people on purpose, well if that's the case, then they achieved what they wanted.
I am failing my Pre-Algebra class because I was taught differently but I still have the correct answer. All this does is throw problems at me and does not teach me crap. The topics are thrown at me all at once, too. Teaching math isn't the same as swimming, you can't just throw me into the water and expect me to swim. The site is horrible in general and I hope it gets take down in the near future.
If you know what I ready is this is far, far worse and its just another way to make students stray away from their potential to be great students. Instead they cause kids to lose interest in school. I absolutely hate this program and feel as if it made me lose interest in math.
First of all, this thing makes my head hurt and puts a lot of extra stress and my life just goes crazy and my teacher fricken expects me to do 15 topics each topic is like a whole lesson and it is so boring and tedious this thing belongs in you local junkyard stay away at all costs don't even let children near this demon of a sight.
Worst system I have ever used. They don't allow a 2nd attempt if you have a typo, they just mark it wrong and take away the previous point you have. Do not use this product. We must work together to end this program/system
This program is so terrible and unfair - it gives you problems where you need to get five different answers and if you get a single decimal point wrong you have to do them all over again. Terrible $#*! program designed by low IQ individuals
O my god! I literally scream at the computer. The explanation sucks and it's so repetitive. I can't let my anger in school, which sucks. Aleks leaves me on the floor crying in agony for the pain it makes me go through. I'm depressed
I didn't know I could hate math more than I already could. Horrible program which punishes you severely for mistakes. You could spend 30 minutes on a problem and if you get the most minor thing wrong you go back to where you started.
This site is a literal piece of trash. If I has 3 wishes my 1st wish would be that site doesn't exist. It doesn't help anyone and makes me want to stab my eyes out with a pencil whenever I am using it! The only reason why I do use it is because I am forced to buy my math teacher You learn nothing from it except that you need therapy from the trauma from using it.
Aleks just sets you up to fail assignments. My professor uses this website for homework, and the website makes me not want to do it. I have gotten so many points taking it off, just because I do not put a period behind my answer. This website is that meme of college where the answer is wrong because there is not a period at the end of the answer.
I am a student and my teacher is making me do this and every time you get a answer incorrect you have to restart. And there are no topics left that i know how to do so i have to teach myself with very unclear instructions! Do not use this app its so frustrating for kids!
There are a lot of jokes, but i really mean this. Aleks is a laggy, slow site. It has terrible coding and is not well thought out. I cannot believe i payed for this. The explanations are vague and unhelpful, which is really the worst part of it, because if you dont understand something, theres nothing you can do about it, use kahn academy. Dont waste your money and time.
This site is often wrong, and takes forever to load. And as for the assignments, they are $#*!craft. It takes about 2 minutes to load between questions, and you can't use a calculator, even when you should. And you often have to use scratch paper on most of them, and it takes a while to copy the problems down. It took 3 hours to do one 22 question assignment! And, instead of AI, it has AUI, Artificial Un-Intelligence. It is just a waste of school's money, which could be used toward an actually good math program.
There's nothing more satisfying than watching all of the progress you made on a topic slowly erode because you make one mistake. This program has made me nearly punch my wall out of pure rage. If you're a professor and genuinely care for the mental health of your students, avoid this. If you're a student and are seeking an additional study tool, also stay away. ALEKS stylizes itself as a "mastery" tool, when in reality other homework programs do the same thing and do it much better. One time ALEKS locked me out of homework that I needed to complete because it gave me a random knowledge check. ALEKS erodes HOURS of progress with its "knowledge checks" if you make as much as one simple error. This is a horrendous program and it should be avoided as much as possible.
The Aleks exam is harder than any College exam I have ever taken. Not only is there no partial credit, but it also can NEVER tell you what you did wrong since you have no work to show for it. You cannot grow and learn from the aleks. It needs to be abolished from all schools.
This website doesn't teaches me anything besides teaching me how to be stress out and banginhg my head on the wall. Doesn't explain $#*!ing anything when I get a question wrong. Doesn't deserve any stars.
ALEKS is such a ridiculous platform for "learning" that the target consumer is obvious: lazy, under-qualified teachers/professors that would much rather waste their students' time than actually teach them anything new. This service, much like my class, is utter dog$#*! and you would be much better off learning from Khan Academy.
This program has made me want to kill myself. No lie. Please, if you are reading this review, DO NOT USE ALEKS! You or your child will literally begin to hate math for the rest of your life. It is literal hell. It is a cruel program and hellish program. If you have half a brain, you would learn to not use this program.

I was in 6th and 7th grade when I started this! 12 yr olds and 13 yr olds that already suck at math can't do Algebra and Geometry! I'll follow what it tells me and it says wrong! The explanations are crap! I go all day trying to figure this out! And I've already have low self esteem, this isn't helping at all!
