What was supposed to be 80 hours turned into 120 to complete the 410 algebra topics needed to finish the class. I took this class so I could skip Algebra 1 in high school. I would not recommend this site for anyone. The explanations are insufficient and unhelpful. Also, the program assesses you way too often along the way, setting you back and adding a lot of stress. I wasted too much of my summer on this program.

Very poor explanations and repetitive questions. The way that it takes points away for wrong answers is not helpful considering how particular it requires the answers to be. The explanations make the questions harder to understand and often don't help with other types of questions in the same set. ALEKS makes a simple 20 min homework assignment take hours.

ALEKS is an atrocious program This website makes me want to shoot myself in the #@$! Because i cant do anything with my life because this terrible excuse of a@!#&ing program makes me spend day and night wasting my life doing a bunch of bull@!&# I havent seen my family in years because im holed up in my room trying to do my math only for a knowledge check to send me back this website makes me lose brain cells rather than make me smarter and more advanced #@$! Aleks this was made by the devil and i hope i never have to do this again

My teacher makes me do 28 hours a day all in my own time while not in school. She doesn't give me time to eat lunch, and if I don't finish, I can't eat dinner either. The only thing I have learned from Aleks is that I want to stop. Very bad, if I had to rate it it would be 0/10. I am pregnant with pain.

Sorry excuse for an educational platform. Manages to punish people doing poorly and people doing well at the same time. If you are modules ahead of your class it still wants you to make the ridiculous time goals of the program. If you are doing poorly on a subject it fails to adequately explain it and then moves onto a different module. This might be the most contrived piece of garbage I have ever seen thrown together in the realm of education.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Aleks is horrible and the most frustrating platform I have encountered. I spent hours completing topics, just for it to lock me out and force me to do them all again in order to receive credit. Absolute garbage.

This pathetic excuse for a website is an absolute waste of time and effort. Whoever made this was probably dropped on their head as a child, because trust me, it doesn't get any worse than this. If I could leave a rating worse than 1 star, believe me, I would because this is an utterly $#*! website, and should have never existed. Knowledge checks come, again and again, only to tell you that you have failed and have to redo the topics you spent countless hours of learning. Not to mention, "Let's take a break". Lets NOT. After spending an hour trying to learn a topic, I make one mistake, and can never see that topic again until I forget how to solve it. Don't even bother trying to fix it, just get rid of it altogether.

The Nobel peace prize is given to people who have acheived great deeds toward the prospect of peace. Seeing as this website moves humanity it the opposite direction they should be given the $#*!bell Terrorism prize.

I have been using aleks in my math class, we have to do an entire pie slice as a major test grade, and if you do not complete all of the pie slice by the given time you'll be making a 70 for a test grade, even if you had 1 topic left you would not be given credit for the work you did. I cannot stress enough that I hate this math website, you do not even learn what they put in front of you. Many people in my school have talked about how much they hate aleks, it puts on too much stress to finish it, and if you get a knowledge check it will kick you back to the last pie piece and make you complete those again before you can finish the one that is currently due. As someone who struggles with generalized anxiety disorder this sets my anxiety through the roof. I cannot tell you how many times I have just broke down into tears trying to finish my homework. This website is not made to help you learn, it is just an easy way to have teachers put work onto students with out doing any teaching.

The way ALEKS teaches you to do things is completely wrong. There's no way you can possibly remember how to do anything. They also make it impossible to move forward at all with their constant knowledge checks. The knowledge checks are far too difficult to be just knowledge checks. I'm a college student and this is a trial program here (which should never come back). My grade in the class is a 72 and is slipping. I have to spend hours doing homework on ALEKS when I should be focused on classes that actually pertain to my major. ALEKS is worthless and should be shut down.

I'm a BIO major, so I'm not an idiot, yet this site makes me question that. I've been forced to use ALEKS far too much in my life. I'm so over it. Same problems, over and over and over again without a clear explanation. I have to YouTube everything. ALEKS will take a whole page to explain something, and I don't understand anything. Then I search it in YouTube and I get it in 30 seconds. So I guess YouTube can thank ALEKS for all of it's math traffic. It's too bad math professors at a university (name withheld) are too lazy to actually teach. They just rely on this math robot to do their work. Not worth the time and insane amount of effort. Aleks has literally become my second job, requiring 18+ hours a week. Yet I cannot hit the topic goals because I spend an hour or more on each topic.

I moved from Europe to the United States two years ago. When I decided to enroll into a community college, I had to take the math placement test. My high school grades were not acceptable since it has been four years since I graduated. I always hated math and on my first attempt I did terribly, my score wasn't good enough even for the college level math level. Anyway, I was embarrassed and at the same time determined to learn the lessons, so I practiced a couple of days and improved my score from 46 to 57. I found the fact that computer was telling me when I was wrong very useful, and filling learning pies became more of a game to me. Long story short, in four months when I retook the test again, I was eligible for calculus class. Thank you so much Aleks!

There are so many flaws with this platform. It literally stops your progression if you do not dot complete what it thinks you need. ALEKS study material is completely different than the class and you waste hours of study time trying to figure out what it needs. I have seen the platform analyze my questions incorrectly. I needed a chemistry class and made a mistake signing up for this class at UND for this class. And there simply is ZERO assistance with this junky platform!
