My customer service representative at check-in, Jada, was absolutely phenomenal! I was an emotional mess as I needed this car because I had been rear ended two days prior and my vehicle had just been totaled out. Mind you, this was the day after Thanksgiving, I had a small daughter and my totaled vehicle was my only vehicle. & to make matters worse, my insurance company only gave me a rather small maximum cap payment for the rental car (versus previously when they'd book it for you and pay for it). Allstate only paid $800, I wasn't sure how long I'd need the rental for and had reserved for the car for $1,342.72 (which was over the maximum cap from Allstate, so I knew I was on the hook for the difference).
Needless to say, I was frazzled at check-in and honestly just a mess. My memory was fuzzy, but Jada was such a sweetheart and helped me tremendously! She was gracious, took her time, repeated things when I forgot and explained the policies in depth. She took her time and made me feel special. Not just like any other customer. I was already an Alamo customer since 2023 (because of their excellent military veteran discount) but Jada's professionalism and demeanor made me an Alamo customer for life. No joke! I wish all customer service representatives for all companies were as knowledgeable, friendly and relatable as Jada was!
The vehicle I rented was brand new and so nice, I ended up purchasing the exact same identical vehicle for a local dealer because I was that impressed by the Ford Escape I drove.
I ended up returning it two days earlier than expected. I returned it the day I bought my replacement car. I was a little nervous going in because it was late in the evening and I wasn't sure if Alamo was still working and if the vehicle would be safe by parking it in the Alamo return area and leaving the keys in it. Luckily, staff was onsite and ready for me as soon as I got out of the car. The representative was nice. I asked if it was too late for me to receive a confirmation receipt showing the final total and proof of return. She explained the Alamo counter at baggage claim was still open, gave me directions and even radioed to them asking them if they'd have my receipt printed and waiting on me. It only took me maybe 15-30 seconds to walk from there to the Alamo counter and sure enough…as soon as I confirmed my name and information, she smiled and handed me my receipt.
Jada made this experience so much more bearable and reminded me that there still are truly amazing, kind, good hearted people still left in this world.
They are super friendly and truly care about your experience, everyone gave me their card and said call with any problems or questions and the cars are clean and don't have any problems

The lady at the pick up counter was from Michigan, but I think was raised on Anna Maria Island, which is where I was going to spend the week. She was so nice, gave me tons of information on where to eat, what to do and see. I also left my computer at the counter and came back in a panic, but that held if for me and didn't laugh at me... All the employees at the other rental companies next to Alamo were very nice to, like one big family. The guy checking in cars at 5am on 12-12-25 when I left was also very nice and helpful. Everything was as expected and above. I will definitely use Alamo in the future.

I rented a car at Chicago o'hare airport which is rarely a good experience.
This is the second time I've rented from Alamo and was very satisfied with the check-in and return process and the kindness and courtesy of the Employees.
If they continue to be competitively priced I will definitely use them again

They hire and train their employees in customer satisfaction, knowledge of cost and pleasantries. Awesome all the way around. Never felt hurried or felt less than smart for my lack of knowledge on any aspect of the transaction. Thank you again

This was the first time I rented a car from the airport and it couldn't have been any easier. The car rental was very easy to find and the process was quick. I chose the "you click, we pick" option. Maybe it was luck but I was pleasantly surprised to have been driving off in a brand new vehicle. I filled out all the forms online, and my car was waiting with the keys already in it when I arrived. Even the drop off process was quick and easy. So overall, I paid a great price for a nice vehicle and I will definitely rent from the Alamo again the next time I am in town.

Beware…Alamo will try to dupe you. I received a rental car with a damaged side mirror. I told the agent/employee about the damage when I did a walk around before taking custody of the car. The employee never did the walk around with me but just stood there. I told him there was damage to the drivers side -side mirror. He told me to let the person at the gate know and they would note it. I let the man at the gate know about the mirror and pointed it out. He said he would take care of it. Now Alamo is trying to charge me for the damage. It was very dark out and hard to get a good picture. Took another picture of the mirror first light. Not cool…. I advised the employee /agent of the damage. Not sure why it was not noted before unless an employee damage the side mirror and did not tell anyone and pass the blame to the customer. No matter what happened to the mirror. One thing I do know I did not cause the damage! It was there when I got the car and i reported to 2 employees before even leaving the Alamo parking lot.

Long wait in line to see the single clerk at Alamo/National kiosk. Cars reserved were in short supply, resulting in lengthy conversations between customers and this one clerk. Manager of several kiosks frequently appeared but addressed no customers, instead had a "Meeting" of staff (deflecting the single clerk from serving customers) and at no time acknowledged the customer lined up for cars. Car itself was OK and returning the car was quick and efficient.

Customer service was much better than with other car rental agencies. Check in and out was easy. Car was in good shape. Would definitely rent from them again at Reagan National.

Charged for gas at end, even though filled up and left receipt inside.( Proof with my credit card available.)
Was told I would not be charged as courtesy when first got car. But filled it up anyway. Then was charged afterwards. Very disgusted.

Price is good, but need to be aware that office is not ran by Alamo personal late at night and might need to wait long before getting a car.
