I booked a hotel using Agoda cash, and then later on cancelled the reservation because I found a different hotel I wanted to book on Agoda. Before I clicked cancel, I received the message that $94.89 would be refunded back to my gift card account as well as received an email with the same info. I was going to use that refund towards my new booking. I didn't know exactly how I was supposed to receive that refund, so I called customer service. He explained the "gift card" expired and that there was nothing he could do nor was there a supervisor I could speak with. I would have never cancelled had I known I wouldn't be able to use the refund. The fact that I was still going to make another booking with them that same evening, but they'd rather lose a customer for good. He said I shouldve kept track of when it expired. Why would I if I already used it? I've ever let Agoda cash expire before and didn't know "gift card" means "Agoda cash" which is super confusing by the way. Agoda is shady and deceiving. They've been my primary booking site and now they've lost my business over this.
***BUYER BEWARE**
When I booked my stay at a condo resort in Palm Springs, I saw the pricing on the first two pages of the reservation and was satisfied. What I missed was that on page 3, they disclosed that the resort would charge a $22/day "resort fee" upon arrival. That's in small print. The price Agoda was charging me was in big print. Since I was staying 8 days, this added around $180 to my cost. I didn't notice this until 4 days out at which point it was too late to cancel or get a refund. I called Agoda and the resort and no one would do anything to fix this. I checked other websites to see how their reservation process worked and the resort fee is disclosed on the first page. This is deceptive advertising.
BEWARE! They advertise a hotel room, you get an Airbnb private condo. Condo owner leaves no keys. Agoda and condo owner don't answer the phone. I am turned away to the street at midnight! After 2 hours of driving/searching for hotel, I give up and sleep in my car! Lucky I was in Florida, not Minnesota. Also, absolutely no disclosure of $70 cleaning fee nor $20 parking fee but no matter, I SLEPT IN MY CAR!
I have sent agoda four emails regarding paying them more than my receipt obtained at check out at our hotel. No one will respond. I will never recommend or use this booking site again, not only for their poor customer service but no where does it say that I am paying more than my actual receipt from the hotel itself.
Ive booked for the wrong dates with non-refundable option. After calling the support hotline they changed the dates in 10 minutes, even though on their website it said this was not possible.
I didnt have to pay anything additionally. Very good and fast service.
Even if this is not the problem you only get this answer from (customerservice) at Agoda.

We booked a hotel through Agoda. The hotel name has been given as "OYO ******* Shillong Cantonment". We reached the site at Shillong, but there was no one to meet us or an office. It is an apartment. Through a person staying there we got contact number of OYO. When we contacted them, they informed us that don't have information of our booking with them. After spending more than an hour there, we hunted another premises with the help of our cab driver and spent our holidays in Shillong. I am unable to get refund of my advance of Rs. 5450. 52 paid through my Citi Bank credit card. But the Agoda website has no provision to file a complaint to ask for refund.

This booking through Agoda has caused great harassment.
I actually never booked a stay at this hotel with Agoda or any other hotel website. Agoda charged me $650 AUD to my Master Card in September and refused to refund my money when I told them that I had never made this booking. I was also charged $390 AUD on my AMEX card for another booking in December and again refused to refund my money. I had to get both my credit card companies to look into the disputes as well as having to cancel both my credit cards. I have no idea how they managed to get my credit card details however the only thing I can do is cancel my account with Agoda. Unfortunately Agoda do not allow you to cancel your account. After these two fraudulent bookings as well as not allowing me to cancel my account, I would highly recommend that you stay away from booking with Agoda and putting in any personal details into their website. They are nothing but thieves.

I booked a hotel in London Earls Court via Agoda, but the hotel (1 Lexham Gardens) did not honour the booking and refused to give me room. Agoda was unwilling to provide an experience.
This is disappointing and erodes trust in Agoda.
Someone used my credit card to book a hotel using this website. The total cost was Php 11,000.00. When I tried to call the company to raise this concern, I can't get past through their customer service hotline as they'd need a booking number!

When booking accommodation on this site they make great play of advertising "Pay at the Hotel" and "Pay at the Property" but as soon as you enter your debit card number, supposedly to confirm the booking, the hotel charge your card. In my case I have no objection, in principle, to paying for the stay at the time of booking if I am warned this is to be the case. However the situation has now arisen that payment has been taken from my sterling debit card including additional bank charges to convert the payment from sterling to euros when, had I paid at the property, as per the agreement, I would have paid on my Spanish debit card in euros and saved the charges. For other people the repercussions could be far worse and involve fees for being overdrawn. Trying to contact Agoda for their comments in a definite No - No. Even their customer service e mail address turns out to be a "no reply" address. Best avoid getting tied up with them in any way as this is blatant misrepresentation.
Agoda has proceeded to blame the extra charges on this poor hotel owner at Tamarina Resort in Chonburi, Thailand when he was not the one authorizing them as the hotel is supposedly "separate" from Agoda.
Staff here are very friendly and helpful. Especially Mr phal pisith has excellent Service, help me when i loss my wallet and my bag out side of hotel, he very kind give me some money and buy some food for me. I highly recommend you to stay at Nagaworld hotel and Casino.

I recently made a booking for my hotel from the Agoda website and I regret it.
Backstory-
1. Made a booking a day before the date I was supposed to check in.
2. Called up the property manager to know that they have renovation going on and would not be able to accommodate me
3. I panicked as I searched for the customer helpline number online, just 2 hours before boarding my flight. As bad as my lucky was, I couldn't connect to their helpline as it didn't exist. Tried to sign in to their website but they had technical issues which didn't let me sign in. I was helpless. And mind you, they don't have their email id written on the site until you sign in.
4. Gone one hour I had to choose not to fly as no other hotels in the vicinity were available.
5. To my sadness, I contacted Agoda after finally being able to sign in 6 hours after my issue occured. They confirmed the fact the hotel was under renovation. And offered to relocate me. Relocate me after I missed my flight.
6. They could only provide me with compensation in terms of Agoda cash ( like, I'm ever going to use that).
7. In conclusion, I bare the cost of my flight tickets, the pain of waiting patiently to sign in, and learning a mistake to never book from Agoda.
I booked and paid apartment in the centre of Milan, Italy.
Two days before my holiday I received an email that the apartment is not available and I am going to receive another one 6 km from the city centre. As I wasn't happy with the offer to go out of the city, I ask for other accommodation or any compensation.
After two days of endless conversation with helpless and useless customer support, I have been told to go to another apartment or hotel for the first night and they will give me the money later on. As you can imagine I did not receive any money or any kind of compensation.

I booked a hotel in Bali through agoda, i checked all the details and it was showing AU$524, so i clicked to pay button, straight away, i got an email that we have charged you AU$801. I contacted them and they said that send us the screenshot showing AU$524, which i couldn't as price had changed, i argued with them, but no success. Agoda is liar company, never deal with them. I wanted to donate some savings for Bush fire relief in Australia, but this liar company stole my money by cheating, hence i am not able to donate for bush fire relief fund to Australia.

Since my last input about Agoda charging my card for a hotel booking that is cancelled by them, I wish to update you on more unpleasant experiences. When I called them to ask them about the charge, they blamed my bank. They said that they had refunded the money immediately but my bank is slow in refunding the money. When I called my bank, I was told that my bank did not receive any refund from them! When my bank contacted them to ask for the refund, they lied that they couldn't refund the money because they had booked the hotel for me! WHAT? Where is the booking confirmation? So I had to forward to my bank the email from Agoda about the cancelled booking. So in future, when you receive the email from Agoda shown below, take action fast!

Don't trust Agoda. I did a hotel booking recently. Immediately after I'd submitted my booking, I received an email message that my booking wasn't confirmed. Yet, the total cost was deducted from my card. I am still waiting for my payment to be refunded.
I have made a booking with Agoda that saying free cancellation and only paid once arrive at the hotel. However, Agoda has given the hotel my card details. The hotel then charged me the first night straightaway. I contact Agoda customer service. They said that there is nothing to do with them and asked me to contact the hotel. The hotel replied that I have to deal with Agoda directly as my booking is with Agoda. I have contacted the Agoda customer service many times and got no results. Every time I called, they hang up on me when they can not answer me. They also hang up on me when I asked to speak to the manager. The email reply is the time each time without addressing the issue. I have not experienced such bad customer service. I will never use them again!

The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
