I made flight booking to Agoda last February 2,2020 for our Vacation on April. But then COVID-19 crisis came, and all of my other flights that I've booked to different airline have already been cancelled and refunded. So, I requested to cancel my flight booking due to COVID-19. But they did not take actions. They didn't care about their customers safety. I kept calling ang emailing them about my request but they did not respond! I even emailed them the supporting documents on our city lockdown. Worst travel agency ever! I will report this travel agency!

Customer service is terrible, website is impossible to navigate if you have any issues with your reservation, it keeps putting you back into a dead end forcing you to call them which takes hours
I will never use them again and will in fact go out of my way not to use them. I never even got an email confirmation of my reservation

The flight was canceled due to the Corona virus. So obviously couldn't use the hotel. This was beyond my control. They refused to give me a refund. I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. WONT EVER USE THEM AGAIN.

Terrible experience
March 17, 2020

Made a reservation with a Hilton property in Lisbon. Due to Covid-19 pandemic we were unable to travel. Our credit was charged for the total charge for the two nights and kept by Agoda, not refunded or or transferred to the hotel in Lisbon. With such ethics compassion they should avoided completely.

Because of the outbreak we want to cancel or at least defer our reservation to a much later time in the year. Agoda told us because I didn't purchase the cancellation insurance they can't do anything. It's disgusting that in times like these they're not flexible. We were really looking forward to this trip but how can we travel when flights are being grounded?! To make matters worse, they have no toll free number for North Americans to call their call centre. I will never use them again. Booking with Agoda is like playing Russian roulette.

Emergency refundable

I cancel my booking here in agoda, due of this emergency about the corona virus, and I want my full refund, but the problem is they have the no refund policy, I will understand thier term of condition. But this is emergency refunds... Hope your kindly respond

Bad service

We saw a really good looking price on google on a Thursday night. We then tried to book for That night. Once we enter all the info in, the app changed the days and made a reservation for the previous day. After trying several times to get the day right we gave up and made the impossible booking. Then we found out that they do not accept American Express. We still booked. During the all process, the site said that we were not paying but just making a reservation. That we would be charged at the hotel. We then found a better option for the night. When we tried to cancel, we found out that in the confirmation of reservation email, Agoda told us the reservation was not refundable and that we were already charged. We call the service center and they were not only not helpfull but also not polite, and sexist. They will only accept to speak to my husband and not to me. We will never use this site again and strongly recommend to stay away from it.

Refusing refunds
March 12, 2020

Beware of this company when making booking, our hotel was cancelled due to the recent coronavirus by Agoda, when trying to get our money back Agoda Blane the hotel for a no refund policy. If the hotel has been cancelled by Agoda and we booked and handed out card details to Agoda are they not the responsible party? I am so angry they are trying to pass blame whilst the hotel is holding our money,... give us our money back Agoda and stop passing the buck, the responsibility lies with you, if you where in the UK you would be heavily fined by now

This website is a BIG SCAM I Booked a room at 11:30pm because I wasn't there at 12midnight which would have gave me 30mins to get there I was denied my room and refund

Never book with Agoda
They don't even care about the coronavirus
We would love to go to Chicago for St. Paddys day but now they've canceled everything and can't even cancel our hotel Plus you get charge just to communicate with them because there are not in United States

My Spring Season trip (March-April) was affected by COVID-19 due to travel restriction and flight cancellation. Agoda would not want to refund the money in credit card and (Hotel allows the cancellation) but Agoda gave expiry within the same month of the hotel booking. Unable to extend the expiry of the booking. Worst company! What they expect me to do with this expiring credit in a month time with current situation. Look at them after all the evidence, and their response.

"We are sorry to inform you that we cannot provide further options regarding your refund, but to make new reservation. Please note that refundable policy depends on the promo you will choose for your next booking. In line with this, we highly suggest you to check the cancellation policy before booking your preferred promo." Agoda Staff

Just a place to see all the options. They charge 10%, you can do better directly with the resort or another site. No leverage with any resorts, no changes, no customer service, period. Just someone telling you how sorry they are.

Worst company to deal with. They are liars. Made a booking but the agoda cancelled my booking and make excuss the my credit card request money 3 weeks later after collecting the money, i spoken to my credit company they have advised its against the law for them to recall on a transaction that has been paid with authoralisation code, unless disputed by myself.

They refuse to raise complaint regarding my metter because of them i have to nearly 50% more
My booking number *******.

I wouldnt recommend them please avoid booking with to avoid disappointment. You are better going with raptuaul company.

They customer service are lairs and cheaters.
AVOID AVOIDE AVOIDE IF YOU CAN.

Nightmare Stay!

I went to the hotel for our late check-in at the pagoda and when we got there they said that we had no reservations and that we were most likely booked at their newly acquired property the pagoda Waikiki, they called and confirmed that is where our reservation was. We then took a cab over there and when we got there they had an additional $284 hold charge in order to check in. Aside from the reservation that I had already paid in full. ($365 prepaid) They claimed they would released upon check out. We reluctantly paid it, and checked in. Once we got to the room, it was horrible, run down, dirty, and unsafe. The door had to be forcibly closed and opened, the security latch was broken, the carpet was heavily stained and soiled, the floor was sticky and the room smelled like the dumpster that was right outside our door. We tried to make the best of it, but decided to check out early today. Unfortunately the additional charge that is now in pending took the rest of our money. I could not book another room because of it.
As I am posting this review, I still have not received my refunded hold. 2/26/2020
I checked out of this hotel on 2/22/2020 and had been sent an email stating that I had been refunded. I filed a fraud report with my bank, if the funds are not received, they will be pressing charges.

Date mix up

I am a seasoned traveler and have been using online sites for booking hotels, airline and cars for years. I booked a hotel from Agoa's website with the booking dates of Friday, March 6 at Barcelona. As usual, I got a confirmation and didnt pay much attention to it, since this is expected.

Imagine my surprise when I got a reminder on Feb 19 that my reservation was "today". This was neother the date, nor the day, nor the month of my travel. With the fact that the reservation was totally non-refundable, non-cancellable, I frantically tried contacting the hotel explaining that there was a mix up. The hotel, perhaps rightly so, said that they could do nothing -- I had to take it up with the booking site. I tried calling the Agoda customer support number and couldnt get through. I am thoroughly disgusted since I completely wasted a time, money and effort on something that couldn't be a mistake on my part. There is NO way I could select a wrong month, date and day. It seems to me this was done only because it was a non-cancellable reservation -- no recourse!

A booking with Agoda for boni tower for only 1 night the owner refused entry of main guest because of the 2,000 peso deposit. This deposit was not to be seen on the booking site only after it's been paid and booked u get a notification that u need to pay 2k. It's pure scamming the customer with hidden fees or charges.

Worst Adoda

First time I made the booking through Agoda and I have Cambay Grand Hotel in Ahmedabad. I don't why the hell they require to upload my credit card photo and my ID on their website? Hotel can also verify these document.

1. How can I trust that my document are secured on their website.

Still I have uploaded and after reaching hotel I had to wait for 2 hours at hotel reception just because they didn't receive my document. Most interesting these fraud International brand didn't even provide the customer care phone number to query or confirm or know the problem?

I was pretty confident that since I have uploaded the document they will receive soon.

However, I have to drop the email and after waiting long I got entry to the room.

So if you want to helplessly wait at hotel for 4 hour then you can try booking through Agoda.

Service like hell.

This happened on 15-Jan-2020 and booking was for 3 nights and 4 rooms.
This company confirmed my booking at Puri, Orissa for 4 rooms. As I reached to the location, the hotel owner said he has no rooms. You need rooms pay more, I will find you somewhere else. When I said what happen to my booking, he said there is no booking for you. I called Agoda number, no reply. 2 hours later, I west to different hotel on my own, then I received phone call from someone from Agoda that he is sorry. This is a fake company and fake business people, don't give damn for you or your travel plan. I end up paying double to different hotel in Puri.

Great service

Seeing the price comparison from the official hotel site, I took a 'to hell with it' stance and had booked a nonrefundable option in early February through Agoda. It was my first third party booking and was pleasantly surprised with the whole hassle free service. I enjoyed my vacation, the user expierience and definitely would recommend the site.
