Booked two nights at a hotel that was rated 8.3 with Agoda that should have been rated 3.3 when contacting customer service they made every excuse to brush me off do not use this site if possible you will be disappointed as I was and many other people the respects and customer care for their clientele is disgusting the room has a missing sliding door to the balcony got mosquitoes and bugs came and went as they wished through the gap of the missing sliding door to the balcony and the laminated flooring was damaged and loose and food into pieces that was very dangerous to trip over
I accidentally made a double booking coz Agoda kept sending me multiple emails that my booking didn't go through...they refused to cancel the booking even after multiple requests. The most annoying thing was the customer service people use default emails to send you and placate you for a day then the next day tell you the hotel didn't agree to cancel your booking. Its so stressful. I wasted a lot of money just trying to save a few bucks...I hate this experience. Don't book on Agoda.
I booked with Agoda on apr 2022 after seeing an offer for approx $231.00 for a two night stay. After I put my credit card information in to their system to book the room I received a confirmation at the rate of $767.82. That was Far off from the rate I agree to, so I try cancelled my booking within minutes after booking it. Agoda now refuses to cancel. Now I am stuck with a large bill for a trip I never took. Do Not Let 'This Happen To You. Stay away from this company. They will Steal your money.
This happened to me 3 times so far. I book at a price on agoda and the hotel people reject the booking unless I pay regular pricing. It seems to be a regular scam by Agoda and hotels together. Agoda customer support will ask me to wait to talk to the hotel who will refuse. Agoda will ask you to choose an alternative hotel and by that time, 1 -2 hrs is lost. Its simply horrible. I ended up paying as its too late to look for alternative accomodation. Dont use Agoda or OYO ever unless you are ready to face a lot of delay
We made a booking. Two nights in Melbourne, received booking confirmation, got charged. Upon arriving, we found our booking was non-existent and spent a long time trying to get in touch with Agoda to see what was happening. Were finally advised that Agoda would get us alternative accommodation within the hour. Over an hour later got an email with two hotel options to chose from. Immediately replied and asked for confirmation. Whilst waiting on this, made our way to the second hotel to find that they were fully booked for the night and had never been contacted by Agoda. It was 8 pm at this point. We barely managed to find a hotel that could accommodate us for the night at this hour, at an exorbitant last-minute booking fee. We never heard from Agoda that night again.
Missed out on an important event and will likely never see the refund judging by their reputation which we were obviously not aware of. Agoda is based in Singapore. They could scam you too.
I booked a hotel through Agoda and my reservation that was done through a third-party was not found. I ended up with no hotel reservation that night. The least that one expects from a reputable company is a full refund. Some may even offer vouchers for discounted or free stay to compensate an unhappy customer. However, Agoda didn't refund me. When I followed-up for a refund, they claimed that I didn't show up to keep an additional $50. Bear this in mind when you want to to use Agoda for your hotel reservation. I won't use it ever again.
I used Agoda.com to book my flight ticket almost two years back and had to cancel my booking after a while. I knew that there will be cancellation charges, but still waiting for my remaining refund amount. Whenever I contacted them I get the same answer that there is delay in getting the payment and will get back soon. I lost hope completely and will never recommend this Agoda platform to anyone. Fraudsters!
Excess charge by Agoda,, terrible experience
Please note that I had booked two rooms on booking ID-11**48***through Agoda,however I didn't received free breakfast with this booking whereas I had selected for breakfast since was traveling with family.
On the other hand my sister booked same booking (ID- 2**49**4 and 2***914*)
On same guest name for one more night with hotel directly and that room includes free buffet breakfast.
In conclusion, I paid more amount to agoda without breakfast and booking directly with hotel gave me more benefits.
Agoda is fraudsters company which are looting money from public...
I would recommend everyone to please check other options before going with Agoda.

I was searching for a Test and Go hotel in Bangkok. The Alpha hotel came up as a Mega Deal, 75% discount for a rate of C$69 / night. I proceeded with this booking. I was charged C$239 instead!
I tried to contact Agoda customer service but there is no support email address. Their helpline is all automated with standard answers. I used their Price Guarantee form and submitted my request. The response I received was there was a change of price from $69 to $239. I was tricked and deceived with this Mega Deal. I wanted to cancel my booking, but they claim it's non-refundable. Agoda has to take responsibility for this trick played on customers.
Once your reservation with Agoda is completed, your money is gone! Booked with them hotel in Frankfurt two months in advance, but next day needed to shift a reservation by one day. Agoda refused without contacting the hotel and advised to cancel the reservation in order to get reimbursed. After that was done, no money get back on my account and for all the following claims Agoda's feedback was that the reservation is not reimbursable. Would never use this scam company again!
My friends and I stayed at a hotel via Agoda for a couple of weeks and we all gave it a one star - Agoda has not published the review and just hides most of their negative reviews. They should be honest with all their members. It's recommended that you do your own review on the hotels and not rely on Agoda's reviews/ratings.

So I thought of using Agoda for the first time, rather than using Booking which I have used many times before. Unfortunately, I had an issue with 1 of the 3 hotels I booked, I was given a much cheaper room, and when I complained to the hotel they showed me the actual booking make by the Agoda agent/partner which was for the cheaper room, so Agoda show on their website the more expensive room which I booked for my 20 years anniversary with a balcony and a river view, and instead I get a smaller room with none of the above. I tried contacting Agoda and they took over 1 week to come back with an offer of compensation for £10 in Agoda cash. I mean how pathetic is that?, No understanding of customer service. I would never take the risk and book with them again, especially since they don't have the decency or the business sense to correct an obvious fault on their part. I just wanted to ensure people know what to look out for if they ever use Agoda.
Got to hotel booked on Agoda. Asked about internet, clerk said it's not working and no idea when wifi will become available I waited 5 hours in the lobby hoping it would come on in that time. Meanwhile I asked Agoda for full refund because I need internet for my work and it's not available as advertised on their booking website. They said they might give me partial and they will send message to another department for my request. I said no, you should give me a full refund because I'm not getting internet as advertised to be available. I said I would give them the lowest review and take my business elsewhere which I did.
Double charged me then forced me to keep sending in transaction and bank statements, over and over for proof saying they were not receiving emails. Also once I got access to my bank statement that actually took two weeks to get, Agoda decided to switch it up and say its the hotels fault for the charge when they already told me the first day I called "customer no service" about the double charge that Booking.com processed the payment at the hotel. The charges are back to back on my debit card so it easy to see I was double charged. But the second charge doesn't say Agoda because booking.com processed the payment Once I made it to the hotel. That's the new way out of just issuing my return. Prolonging it as long as possible. But why?
This site is out of Singapore and claim no responsibility for their intentionally deceptive practices. They never disclosed additional charges on my room as well as having to check in and out everyday which has added unnecessary daily deposits of over $250 from my account that to this date have not been refunded. Don't pay Aboga and don't even stay at the Golden Nugget laughlin. Absolute joke.
When I booked a room to spend overnight in Istanbul to get my connecting flight next day unexpectedly my flight was canceled and the agency offered me another flight outside of Turkey. I already booked the hotel and they did not want to give me a refund no matter the mistake is not mine. No voucher was issued either. Very disappointed of their business
I booked with Agoda for Philippine while checking the room the travel partner Orient Pacific charged me for the same hotel same date & same name. The hotel even requested for refund., all these customers services has same stories 48 hrs will resolve, more than 2 months nothing has resolve. Do you think I will do business with them anymore? Apparently,Agoda has all these travel partners not in sync with them. If I use booking.com, they will remind me, are you sure? U are booked already. At least the website is not flaky. I have group booking for New York paranoid to even click Agoda website. Don't trust them anymore.
Won't give me my money back and I never stayed at the hotel. It was DANGEROUS and DIRTY with actual bugs, hairs, and poop! Will not defend me bc it was non refundable.

I've used Agoda since 2019 now and have never had any issues. Some people on the internet say that their customer service may not be the best but honestly Agoda is already top in its category for travel platforms.
And so! As a budget traveler myself, I love platforms like this that give so many bundled discounts from flights to accommodation and more. I think that Agoda stands out from others because they have cool services like "Price freeze" which is where you first pay a small amount to hold the price of the hotel and then later you pay the rest (and if the price goes up they'll cover it* and vice versa if it decreases!)
Theres also other things like AgodaVIP and Agoda cash (you get back from bookings) which you can use for future trips as credit! Overall truly great platform, definitely worth checking out if you haven't yet. They have lots of affordable and nice spots to stay for your trip :)

The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
