I've become more and more suspicious of AFF.

Multiple times I've gotten responses to inquiries with "women"... when I bring up whether they're "real"... they'll say yes... BUT... suddenly as we converse... their English becomes very broken (supposedly local women)... or they consistently cite tech issues as an excuse... or...(my two favorites)... they'll say they've met somebody on AFF...(but when questioned as to why they keep their profile online - no response)... this happened three times... THEN... another favorite... they'll say..."oh... I've been chosen as an AFF 'ambassador'... and if you do this you'll be more successful... blah, blah..."... basically saying their profile is false...

I personally think AFF is a massive fraud... sorry... that's the truth... it's not about more men than women... again... blah, blah, blah.

Its difficult to find and meet women who are genuine and really know what they want; there are many fakes but sometimes - like my 15 year affair which is still going - you can succeed. Since I wrote my first review, Ive had one casual encounter and locally Ive met one woman who shares my need for something outside our main relationships. So now I can enjoy time with two partners both married like me but strictly no strings. And Ill keep looking!

We have been members for over a year now and long ago did we realize that the majority of profiles are indeed fake. When you are not sifting through fake profiles you can enjoy the member cams with nine or ten creepy old $#*!s in dirty dark rooms and maybe a couple from guatemala $#*!ing in a tent. The only good thing about this site is the live cam girls which unfortunately is Cams.com and these companies are one and the same. AFF is hard to use, not easy to navigate, has an impressive number of nobody near you at all, really and is mostly for age groups 40-65. As far as a membership is concerned I regret paying for it.

In my honest opinion this site gets better as time goes on which is the same for most of the good casual sex/ NSA sites (hookuphangout.com, etc). Some people don't seem to realise that it takes a while for the chats to get going and the replies to start coming in. I was pretty much ready to give up and then I got chatting with a smoking hot girl that I assumed was a fake until she agreed to meet up with me. Patience does pay off and even if you're not out there banging blondes and brunettes like a true player you can still have a good time. Ive had some amazing chats, some naked selfies and all that stuff and its pretty cool (beats watching x factor anyway) So yeah, give it time and then judge it, if you want instant sex then there are ladies in every city that you can pay directly if that floats your boat but for me I prefer the chase (and yes, admittedly much cheaper option) of hook up sites like this.

In two months, I've actually laid eyes (or more) on three women. There are a lot of scammers. They use stilted English, or their profile picture is 20 years younger than the stated age, or it's plug-and-play with the pic and profile, so you get something like a petite Asian whose body is described as "ample." Women of any race can be "Native American." One key is to treat contacts like feeling, sentient beings, and address something about them that isn't blatant. Write well. Use humor. Have a head shot. It's a challenge to figure out the game, but more frustration than it's worth, I'm afraid.

This site is too hard on men. My husband lets me date on the side, and it's a great life having my home life and then getting to be single on occasion. So I joined AFF to find some fun and at first it seemed promising, but I soon realized the high cost and fake womens profiles were driving single men away from the site, and that affects the number and quality of my local selections. They need to ease up on single guys.

While there are real people on the site, the operators engage in fraud every day, First, no natter how many times you put auto-renew on OFF, the system will auto renew. Forget trying to make picture private because the function doesn't work. In fact, the site is so poorly designed that I wish you the best of luck on figuring out how to make pics private. I've been on this site for years, on and off, and have finally reached the off side on a permanent basis. Nothing has changed over the years. The people who run it should probably have been prosecuted or fined into oblivion years ago for their fraudulent practices.

99% of profiles are fake. Everyone is a scammer asking for money. 6 months 3 free and 3 gold. Resulted in 0 dates 0 real conversations hours of time wasted hitting on bots and I believe the same scammer thousands of times

Spent 4+ hours setting up profile and creating contacts. 12 hours later, my account has been "put on hold" pending Risk Management. Only way to contact them is via an international call to customer services who will then transfer me to said department. Customer service rep (Jason) was not at all forthcoming with details and I frequently had to ask him to clarify what he was saying.

All in all, a complete waste of time and effort, and customer service that would make Auschwitz blush. You're better off using Fetlife or another casual dating site.

This site has been around for ages, and I'm sure at some point in the distant past it may have been "the world's largest adult community", but there's hardly any active users on there. Most would have been roped in to sign up and then realised that the site is barely usable without a paid membership (which isn't exactly cheap). It's anyone's wonder these guys still exist, when there are so many better FREE alternative hook up apps available.
