They are kinda scamming us!
This is supposed to be a service for needy people to help with their cell service budget.
They know there are only limited minutes allotted to the accounts & once one uses up those, one must purchase top-up packages to keep calling.
They don't tell their customers that they must enable Wi-Fi calling feature on access wireless' system, for the feature to be available on customer's cell phones. I just went through this process & it was very complicated, but it worked.
MAKE SURE YOU ENABLE WI-FI CALLING SO YOU DON'T USE UP YOUR MINUTES BEFORE YOUR MONTHS ARE OVER!
I was using the phone and service for about a month, had no issues. Until I did. Everything shut down to where I could only make 911 calls only. No calls in or out, no texts, no data etc. Called customer service after being put on hold for 42 minutes call was disconnected. Called back and now my account does not even exist. Phone number I have had, they can't find. By name, also no record. All information just disappeared after receiving that great news is when I was hung up on for a second time. Seems to be their M.O when things get difficult then disconnect. Extremely frustrating and infuriating.
I went with assurance wireless and tried porting my old number over everyone kept getting previous number as text but calls would be ported number. Best choice for all don't change numbers on theses phones. I am changing to Access wireless hope they don't make me wait 60 days because don't want to wait another 30 with lame assurance wireless
They simply hang up on you if you get to a point in the conversation thru the 'network' lies and have to be held accountable! I continued to call in so they shut my phone off for the next 3 weeks to stop me from any calls at all!
We had one good experience with a customer service person here & many bad ones.
They keep asking for the same information over & over again, as if they didn't record any of the previous answers to their questions, then they just keep repeating the same answer to you when they don't know a solution. We were told many many times yesterday to just reapply after they canceled a previous application, but their website simply will not allow it. It just keeps stating it's approved & it was, but got canceled.
Met a so called field agent at San Antonio Ave and Holt Ave in Pomona. Signs me up for this so called CA Life line program. Phone working ok fine. I go to the access wireless app someone else's name. I call access phone belongs to someone else. Ok you gave me this phone. No you have assurance wireless no I have access wireless. We're going to turn it off it's reported stolen. I just received it. Called Life line Administrator. Call service provider. Went in circles. Phone now deactivated after only 1 week of getting it Field Rep is gone. I went to Walmart and purchased straight talk. This program is not worth it and they don't help anyone. You're better off getting a prepaid phone at Walmart.
OMG! The SENSE smart phone leaves much to be desired. Access Wireless is "NOT GOOD" and the phone they provide has many unpleasant issues. This smart phone will disconnect you without notice and the mute key activates without touching the key itself! Very frustrating & stressful! Very CHEAP smart phone from a very CHEAP Company. AMEN
This company has the worst customer service.
- wait almost an hour in order to speak with someone
- very unfriendly operators
- unable to solve the problems.
- never followed up as promised.

Abigal with costumer service was amazing got to the bottom of my very difficult and confusing situation. I could tell she actually really cared that my problem was taken care of.
The staff will lie to you, put you on silent holds, laugh at you, hang up on you, threaten you, and refuse even to give you the ACP benefits for your account. Every call with them is over 1 hour long. They listen to you and then repeat the stuff you just corrected over and over and over. It is seriously mind-boggling how they even exist as horrible of a company as they are. I was talked to like pure trash by 5 different agents. So this is a culture there. Oh did I mention I only had the service for 8hrs when ALL of this happened? Yup!
NEVER ACTIVATE OR DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM IN ANY CAPACITY WHATSOEVER. I AM SO SERIOUS.
I sign up with them and they sent me a 4G phone, it would not work properly or hold a charge. I called them about it and they sent me a replacement 3G phone that was smaller and it did not work with any apps I was already trying to use and IT WOULD NOT HOLD A CHARGE EITHER! Called them again and was told " It looks like we already sent you a phone so your only other option is to go to our website and buy one of our phones". I looked on the site while I was talking to the companies agent and seen that all the replacements cost $99 & up! So let's see, they send you phones that do not work, so you have to buy one of theirs. SOUNDS LIKE SCAM! Has this happened to anyone else?
If you end up losing your phone, don't have them suspend it, try to call it, because once you suspend it, it takes hassle with customer service to get it unsuspended, and also they will con you into closing your account which happenned to me this 4th of the new year. Their phones are not high quality, the space on the device I got last year is very low to like 16 GB, but you get 9 GB of space left over so don't expect to save too many photos or one good 10 minute video that you want to upload to You Tube with it or to play a decent game with it. Do most your yourself online only with this device. Just try not to misplace or lose your phone, because there is no coverage to replace a lost, stolen or damaged phone, they don't cover replacements. That's their catchy type of business, you get one free phone, free that is, and if you lose it, you're out of luck, you have to spend an arm and a leg to get a new phone. Don't mention cancelling your service with them, because they will immediately cancel you and you cannot come back until after 6 months and you have go through the application process again.
The worst provider ever. Stay a way! I wanted to connect to the lifeline government mobile service with them. Their customer service is available only a few hours a day, even though they publish more hours. The calls are getting disconnected from their customer service often. They could not even connect me to mobile phone and the worst, when I wanted to port in my old phone number, they disconnected me from the previous provider without connecting to them. As a result, I lost my phone number. I had to pay great deal of money to port it to another company and the whole process of getting my number back took about a month with no phone line.
Worse ever if you getting free government phone look elsewhere this company is awful they tell you they will replace your phone once a year that's straight out LIE! I got phone from them it stopped working one month after I got it they refused to replace it I'm 61 with COPD and homeless so having working phone could be difference between life death they have zero compassion! There phone broke after one darn month so leave me without so I can't call police if needed I wouldn't recommend them ever! Who has no compassion for elderly homeless sick old lady it could save my life having working phone I can't even go to another company till 30 days go by that's long time without a phone being old alone homeless I hope these people find karma I hope they sleep good at night while I sit scared to death as I have no way get help if hurt raped or who knows what? Thank you access for being worse kk hbout yourself you awful people oh BTW get some people on your customer service that speak and understand English!

I like access wireless because my service works without any trouble.Access wireless hotspot works with my television.great.
Horrible company to work for its been passed 2 weeks and they still havnt paid me horrible horrible horrible
When signing up for access wireless, I read all the policies are terms. Literally everything that they said and everything I read ( policies and terms) nothing that I read said data threshold. My 3 professional friends read it completely and thoroughly and they read all the terms and policies. It's a government phone and it advertised everywhere you look that it has UNLIMITED text, data, and talk. After reading the policies and terms my friends and I said wow from a government phone unlimited data! We all read things very carefully and agreed this was the plan for me. All 4 of us looked for discrepancies and no matter who much we looked, and how hard we looked nothing was said (anywhere) about the threshold of only limited data. I called up access wireless and I told them that my phone says it only has 2 gigs of data. I hayhad wifi for as long as I can remember and it's never been a problem. My internet has been out for about a week and I only use my phone limited and now I'm almost out of data. I called access wireless and they said call *******645 they will help you understand about our data cap. Now remember I have read everything to learn about access wireless completely and thoroughly. I called and a lay answered and said this is not the phone number to call, you have to call the phone provider that you have for your phone. I'm starting to get very frustrated. How can this be that everything that they advertise and the policies and terms said unlimited data plan for government phone for access wireless was false advertisment and complete lies. How is this allowed? I called back access wireless and talked to a girl and she said that the terms and policies said there is a data threshold. I said hold on myself and friends read that carefully, completely, and thoroughly and nothing in those terms and policies said that there was a data threshold. Stunned that 4 people read the same thing. I had said to access wireless you can call my friends and ask what they read. How could 4 people of intellect read the same thing and try to find hidden clause's and there weren't any. Wow is all I'm going to say! Do not get this service! It's a scam!
And unhappy! I had signed up with this company, months ago, and I can't remember the numerous problems I had, I think the phone didn't work, and the company never sent a replacement despite many promises, so I changed companies. I got a phone from the new company and also had problems (the axiom in life, is you get what you pay for so as the lifeline phones are free.) but that company was kind enough to send me a replacement charger. After many days with no charger coming, I called Access which had a similar name to the one I now use.
When I called, the only option you get when you have a number is the voice tree, when I put in my number, the automated voice kept saying that the number was incorrect, even though I had not finished inputting the number and thought it was because it was too slow, after three tries, the recording just hung up. After this happened twice, I had to call a third time, and just chose the selection of not having a number, and I FINALLY got an operator who could not find the number either, as it turned out I had the wrong company.
The point of this whole posting, is that this company SHOULD have an alternative if you input the wrong number or forget your number (there was NO option just to get an operator if you had a number.) Banks I use, if you don't remember your account number or soc. Sec. Number will have an option to get a live operator which this company SHOULD have, whether it will automatically transfer you, if you keep putting the wrong number or give you a selection to chose a live adviser. Although I will write the company to make it easier to deal with, so you can easily get a live adviser, I doubt that they will care, even though with their government issued phones they are GUARANTEED payment, it seems they care little about servicing those customers. If you have I Wireless owned by the same company, you might have the same treatment, so beware of this.
