Recently received an AC condenser fan unit from 1A Auto, a company that I've had many positive experiences with. After installation, the AC worked fine for 3 days but quit. I was on a trip from Little Rock to Denver and had a very hot drive 17 hour drive back. When I started taking AC parts off my 2008 Dodge Ram, I got to the fan assembly and the nut holding the fan to the assembly was gone and the fan, of course, off the spindle and useless. No surprise but my compressor now is shot and I'm replacing the dryer. I did not ask 1A Auto to replace those parts that were ruined by the failure of their new part. I did ask for a reimbursement, rather than replacement, of the defective part because I had to replace the part locally in order to get the AC going quickly in this very hot month. Who needs a condenser fan laying around, especially for a 2008 truck? The 1A Auto response was, it's against our policy to replace electrical parts once it was installed." It wasn't the "electrical" that failed but, you know, "it's policy."
These struts installed effortlessly. The left rear had a manufacturing defect that prevented it from attaching to the hub.! A resolved the problem quickly and promptly sent a new one.
Replacement for my grandson's car. Everything was included, fits great and no problems installing it. Car is not finished so we have not tested it. I don't expect any problems.
I ordered a part from them, based on THEIR shipping estimate. I needed it no later than the weekend, as the person completing the repair would be out of town for 2 weeks. I decided to order it based on the fact their shipping estimate stated that delivery would be by the weekend.
Once the day of delivery came, I rechecked tracking to see if there was a specific time range. Delivery had now changed to Monday. I e-mailed the company, advising them if my displeasure. They advised me that shipping is 3-5 business days. I responded, letting them know that Friday was 5 days. Not Monday. They responded stating that the package didn't go out until end of day Monday, so Friday would be 3 business days.
Except I have an email from Sunday at 4:55 pm that my item shipped (the order was placed at 9:23 am Sunday) So which is it? Did my item ship at 4:55 pm Sunday or end of day Monday? And if it was ready to ship 4:55 Sunday, why didn't it go out first thing Monday, instead of end of day Monday, causing a full day's delay, that made all the difference?
The money you may save on their parts aren't worth the added inconvenience or BS their unhelpful customer service reps feed you.
Buy local. Or try a different company. I won't buy from them again and I'm still considering sending the parts back, I'm so upset.
Don't provide a shipping estimate UNTIL the part is ACTUALLY out thr door if you're going to allow it to sit at your facility a full day.
Susie, I completely understand where you are coming from; there is nothing more frustrating than having an expectation that is then not fulfilled. Twenty years ago, our founders established 1A Auto in the small corner of a garage, and while our company has grown, our respect and priority for fulfilling each customer's request has never wavered. This is never the kind of customer service experience that we strive for and we want to make this right. Please send me a private message with your order number and email.
I am 63 years old... i have never done anything on my cars except fill the gas tank. I lost my job two months ago and money is now tight. I decided I didn't want to pay the 200+ estimate from the mechanic to change out my interior door handle (Hyundai Accent - 2007).
I went on line to Youtube. While I have used Youtube before for my washing machine and dryer, I have never done anything on a car before. I found the part on line. It was with 1A Automotive. The part arrived about two hours ago and I went to their video library. While they didn't have one for the Accent interior door handle, they did for an Elantra... that car was fancier than mine, but essentially the same. I watched twice and went to my car... I followed the steps... (door handle was the hardest part). I had the whole thing done in about 35 minutes... for about 15 dollars rather than over $200.
I jokingly told my wife that this car stuff is easy and I would take the top off her engine and fix the knock. She just stared at me and said touch my car and die... I am not sure if she realized I was joking.
Brad, thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us! We greatly appreciate your feedback and story and look forward to helping with your next repair!
Bought a part that the 1AAuto website said would fit my truck year and model. When I received it, realized that the part had a different connector orientation. Contacted customer service and was told that they would neither replace the part or give a refund. Buyer Beware -DO NOT USE THIS DISHONEST BUSINESS!
I ordered tpms sensors for my 2012 Toyota Camry se when placing the order no one told me you need to buy the tool from dorman to programs them witch cost $300 on top of the $215 for the sensors when I called them they said O sorry about that I sent them back it took over two weeks to get my refund plus if you call you will be put on hold and wait for ever only to be hung up on the customer service is the worst I've ever had to deal with don't please don't ever use 1A morons auto they will lie to you Abe rip you off scammers
I ordered some Nissan tail lights and they were a perfect fit. I was actually surprised that they came with the bulbs in them. The price was very fair.
Had to return first one due to missing the memory option when ordering. Then I had to pay shipping to send it back. Ordered again and everything was fine.
We are glad to hear that everything was solved Leonard! Thank you for your review
This was my first purchase from this company. I bought a Firebird exhaust manifold install kit from them on eBay (screen name www.1aautomotive.com) back in December. It arrived missing the mounting bolts. It was their last one, and they couldn't provide a replacement or the missing parts. Philip W. From 1A Auto agreed that if I kept this item (instead of returning it to them), they would process a $20 partial refund since I would have to buy the bolts myself that were missing. I agreed to this. They never processed the refund despite reassurances they were going to. They responded right away to my emails initially and were overly nice, but they have since stopped responding to my emails about where this refund is. (My last email was 2 days ago.) Of course, this is a stall tactic because now that over 45? Days have passed since purchase, I can no longer seek a remedy through eBay. Fortunately for me, they only took me for $20. Don't be fooled by their initially good customer service. It's all talk.
Put these parts from 1A auto on gmc 3500. Parts fit great service was great. I will be getting all of my parts from them.
This took care of the death wobble.
1A Auto excels in customer service! And the products they sell are top of the line. I don't remember ever being disappointed with 1A Auto. I often look to them for the parts I need.
Have been buying from 1a. For a while an have always had great service. Had 1 part with issue an they took care of it. Would recommend highly an I buy from them with confidence.
Arthur, thank you for the great feedback! Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction.
1AAuto is awesome, any questions call their customer service techs and they'll square it away. Also look up 1AAuto repair videos on YouTube (they're free) and find the ginger guy because he is the Bob Ross of auto repair and it's freaking AWESOME!
Purchased a wheel hub assembly in April 2021. Installed and logged less than 10k miles on vehicle and the bearings are starting to go out. Contacted 1AAuto and was asked to provide VIN, part # from box it came in, and pictures of defective part! The VIN is easy enough, but not sure who keeps the box a part came in just in case you need to file a warranty claim. Could just be me. Now the request for pictures is a joke. If I have to go to the trouble of removing the tire, caliper, brakes, rotor, just to take a picture of a wheel hub, I might as well buy a new part from a reliable manufacturer and install it at that time. I'm not so concerned about buying a replacement part, but when a company advertises a "lifetime warranty" on their parts, they should also mention all the requirements that must be met for that warranty to be honored. Parts from 1AAuto might get you back on the road and save yourself some money, but at some point their inferior parts will fail and you'll be out of pocket more money and time repairing your vehicle once again.
I bought front shocks for my Rav4 and had to replace them, they make you pay to ship the old parts back. I replaced my shocks again and now less then 3 months later I need to do it again. I only owned this for a year and 4 months. SAVE YOUR MONEY DONT'T BUY HERE
I had a dead battery and they had a great prices on a replacement. I use them for all my car maintenance, but I did shop around for price and they were the same or better so that clinched the deal.
We are glad to hear it Richard! Yes, we do highlight that all of our parts are quality-tested, but that does not our prices are through the roof. Thank you for confirming to others out that our prices wholly competitive in the auto parts market.
Did not fit. No refund due to past 60 day refund. Bought a Denso starter fit like a glove. Customer service said it would fit. Lol
I bought some Shocks for my car on the 9 month of 2020. Now is December took my car back to my mechanic he said the shocks was is not good called 1a They sent me another one now the shock is still no good call them back to get my money back they tell me I have to wait till Monday and today is Friday and I have to go to work so I paid twice for a part that's not good will miss work because of them do not order any parts from them my review is a zero I have to put 1 on the review because They don't have zero
Bought a radiator for my Tahoe. It was wrong. My mistake was keeping it in my shed past the 60 day return policy. They won't take it back. Suggested I sell it to make my money back.
Answer: Yes l bought them for the front axle of my 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport and the fit and work perfectly.
Answer: Frank, as a general rule, people go to any review site to complain rather to commend exemplary service. Having said that, we only have 64 reviews on Sitejabber--lots of room for volatility if someone comes on and writes a 1-star review. Please check our review scores on Reseller Ratings and Google-My-Business, which are north of 750 reviews and 350 reviews respectively, and you will see what general trend by the public.
1A Auto has a rating of 2.2 stars from 506 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with 1A Auto most frequently mention customer service, return shipping and wrong parts. 1A Auto ranks 767th among Auto Parts sites.
Barry, I am glad to hear that everything has gone smoothly thus far! If any issues do arise, please reach out to us; we car deeply about ensuring your customer experience is optimal.
