So my eye doctor moved to a target optical because sears optical closed down over here and the prescription he gave me was old and I have -8.00 and he put -8.50 by accident but he prescribes me my color contacts all the time but this website isn't going to know so I just want a refund so I can go in person and purchase my contacts because Idk which doctor is going to be in the new target.
I have been using 1800contacts for over 5 years now and I really like their service. They have my prescription on file and they email me a reminder when they know my contacts are running low. It's a one-click ordering process. Shipping is free and my lenses are usually here within 48 hours.
I paid extra $20 for express shipping and doesn't get here the next business day. I had bad luck with the weekend as well, which ended up being a 4 day wait. It's so upsetting. Talked to customer support and she was absolutely rude and kept trying to tell me that it takes 24hrs for prescriptions to be confirmed. So why is it you have the option for the 'teleported' delivery if it isn't?
Save your money and don't order from here.
Idk why there's so many bad reviews they are amazing. And especially D'YANA I think that's how you spell her name she is amazing wish she could be the one I talk to every time extremely helpful understand and tries to get you the best service. She's awesome as for the contacts themselves I had a bad batch but D'yana took care of it. If they ever let her I'm never buying contacts from them again and I've been buying from them for years now. Can't explain how great she was. And the company over all is good! Hope y'all reward ur representative I was upset but she really took care of the situation
I tried their fake "vision exam" back when it was free, and I wasn't wearing contacts and put in the wrong prescription (-10.50 instead of -1.50) and they made me record my eyes looking in different directions. They said my lenses fit fine! I WASN'T WEARING ANY! And the prescription... they just rubber-stamp it because they want the sale so badly! The doctor who "examined" me, I found out later was fired from her job in (I think) Illinois for rubber-stamping online prescriptions! Now I think they charge for the "vision exams" because otherwise they are legally bound to give you your prescription so you can shop around.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Tried to order contacts and would never approve my script. What is the point of the website if they say I need to go see my doctor and they need to send the script? Might as well get what you need from the doctor when you go cause the price isn't any different. So don't think you can cut out going to see your doctor and order more contacts because you can't. More of a hassle going through this website then getting off work and getting to town to see the doctor.
Wasted a bunch of time trying to do a price match only to find out they are very selective about prices they will match. The exact same contacts were $170 on their site compares to $70 on EZcontacts.com and they will not match.
It is distressing to see just how disorganized this company has become. They tell you an order is on the way and then tell you they cannot find a prescription even though you gave them the doctor's information. Then, they tell you again that things are on the way and you wait and wait, but nothing. You call them again and they are "Confused". They cannot get a hold of their prescription team and are not sure what the other representative was talking about. A cluster and a half. I am done with these clowns, done!
I've been using 1800 Contacts since 2018 and this is the last time I make a purchase with them.
To sum it up, I uploaded a picture of my new prescription. They had issues with it and sent me an email stating they couldn't see my name on the upload so I was asked to either send another picture or, they'll be calling my doctor to verify. I did not see this e-mail until I contacted customer service. Turns out they sent out a notification saying "Verified Rx" But never actually verified and just sent me my old prescription. To top it off, they want me to go out of my way and return the incorrect contacts and are only giving me a $20 discount for the inconvenience.
I was given the opportunity to send a text when I looked for a chat after I learned my order for immediate delivery was delayed. My text was responded to within minutes and a conversation ensued wherein I knew I was being taken care of. I was even able to place a new order through the text thread. I have been refunded the "immediate delivery" fee after waiting out the day to see if my lenses would arrive (they will be here tomorrow), and I have been consistently and politely responded to within a few minutes after every text. I am an experienced and constant(!) online consumer and have yet to have resolution in such a pleasant and easy way until today.
I ran out of contact lenses, my eye Dr. would not give me an appointment until the following week... I felt worried because my eyeglasses broke and I had not even a pair of contact lenses to wear. I contacted 1-800 contacts and the agents were able to help me right away with my prescription and contact lenses. The agents were kind, attentive and very reliable. I am very happy with this service and overall, I got my new contact lenses very fast.
Thank you 1-800 contacts!
I recently ordered contacts from this company. They told me if would be about 6 weeks or so before I would receive them. They didn't show up, so I called and was told they were lost and they would get back with me. I called them back the next day and was told they were sent back to the manufacturer so it would take longer. Didn't show up so they never showed up at the manufacturer …. Lost. So more waiting. They agree to give me a discount on another order. I get them. The right eye contacts are good, the left I can't see out if. I send the box back minus the one contact. I never receive a credit, so I call them today. They never credited me but will credit me "$5.00" for the 5 pair I sent back. That wasn't worth the gas I used going to the post office. The then agree to credit me $10.00 on my account, and after arguing with them, agree to a $20.00 credit on my account, which they will keep because I will never order from them again and will not refer them to anyone else.
I placed an order for contacts for $200, then a few days later got a confirmation of a separate order for $198. I NEVER placed that order and it was placed with an account I don't use and didn't have money in. So I will be hit with bank fees and I tried to talk to a supervisor to explain how serious this problem with their website is (placing unauthorized orders) and they would hang up when I was on hold. Usually I haven't had issues, but this makes me lose trust and I will no longer be using them.
I had left a review about 1800contacts where my eye doctor had mentioned that there were counterfeit contacts on the market and I was questioning an order that I received because after putting the contacts in - everything was blurry. 1800contacts sent me a new order immediately and the problem was still the same. After looking at the prescription and comparing it to the order I had received - I had received the wrong prescription. I'm not sure if I was at fault or if they had made an error - but no matter what - 1800contacts corrected the order and sent out a third shipment. I was very impressed with the way they handled this issue.
This was my first time ordering from 1800Contacts, and I must say I am very impressed. Their regular price was cheaper than ordering from my Dr. However, I had a coupon for $40 off for a year supply (4 boxes) ordered standard shipping which was free. With a 7 day ETA. They shipped same the same day I ordered and I had them in 4 days. On the day I received my contacts, I was doing some internet pricing, and found my brand cheaper from a different competitor. I called 1800Contacts per there price match guarantee. The friendly associate found the price on the competitors price on the website and issued a refund plus 2% saving me $80 more dollars. I will differently use them again for the purchase of my contacts, and recommend them to all my friends and coworkers.
Horrible experience. Miscommunication and incorrect information from various customer service reps. It took 3 weeks to get the contacts and when I received them the rx was incorrect. I will never order from them again or recommend this company.
Ordered a years worth of contacts for what I normally pay for a years worth, only received one lens for each eye! I ordered it over the phone and when I called to make it right, turns out they deleted the original order and then changed it to only one lens for each eye but still charged the same amount! The only thing they could do is give me $20 off my next order. When the whole order was over $300! Never dealing with them again, huge waste of money and time.
I ordered contacts, first they said they didn't have what I needed. Then they said they had it but only if I ordered the ones that were more than 30 per box. I said fine. She said great they will be delivered by tomorrow. Two days later nothing! I call and they said oh well we have it, they just haven't shipped for some unknown reason! Well wtf I needed them express delivered that's why I paid extra! Really horrible liars. Bad service
I have not been able to get ahold of my eye doctor for weeks now due to this pandemic. I'm desperately low In contacts and tonight did a live chat with Kaysha. It was so nice to be able to chat with an actual person who was so quick and helpful. She did an amazing job! And I will continue to order through them from now on as long as half of their customer service does the job she did tonight!
I recently ordered contacts from 1-800 Contacts. After placing the order, I found another online site had them for less, so I contacted 1-800 Contacts (the same day) and asked for a refund, as I was planning to order them from the other company. Upon contacting them, I was told that they would match the price. Cool. The price match would have resulted in a $40 refund, which I was told was issued that day. It never came. I reached out a few weeks later and was told that the refund would post any day. One month later, I reach out for the *third* time and was told that the processing department refused to issue the refund.
I have four contact wearers in my family--their misrepresentation immediately lost their company four customers. Perhaps the $40 was worth it for them.
Answer: You would need to get a daily disposable fitting from your eye doctors office before changing brands. Each brand contains specific measurements and if they aren't correct can effect the clarity of your vision. The doctor's office usually will give you a 5 day trial to make sure they work before finalizing the prescription to order.
Answer: Yes. No strength is needed, but you will need a valid RX from your doctor, as you mentioned.
