I made a mistake in the resevation of a hotel and paid it. but when i tried to cantact to the hostel it was impossible because the phone is wrong and i had to call a line of 0800 that is in the mail but they didnt make anything. i want my money get back the number of reservation is 8039556890089 and my name is guillermo jenner menacho tito

Dear Jenner, Thank you for your message and I would be happy to help. Have you contacted the booking site you made your reservation with in order to amend/cancel your booking? If not then you will need to do so I'm afraid. As a hotel search and not a booking site, trivago keeps no records of the transactions made through the booking sites and cannot alter or access your booking in any way I am afraid. In order to make any changes, cancel, or confirm your current reservation, you will need to contact the booking site which you used. On trivago, users can search and compare different hotels and prices on our site. We pull information from multiple OTAs (online travel agencies such as Expedia or Booking.com) and display the prices together. However, once a user clicks through to view deal, they are directed to the appropriate booking site which provides that price to complete reservation and payment details. Trivago doesn't actually have any involvement in the making of the booking. If you remember the booking site, you made your reservation with, please contact them directly. Alternatively, you can look at your credit card statement to see if the companys name is displayed next to the charge. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Yes, if you click on the name of the location underneath the name of the hotel the 'Hotel details' drop down box will open where you will be able to see all the details of the hotel including a link to the hotel's website. If i want to book it online in trivago and its a free cancellation would you deduct the amount immediately or during i check in?

Expedia, booking.com, Agoda etc.) you may be required to prepay for the booking in full, an authorization (hold) on your credit card may be placed, or you may have to simply pay upon check out at the hotel. I would suggest reading the policy of the particular booking site you use, to see how their payment process works. As trivago is a hotel meta-search, meaning users can search and compare different hotels and prices on our site, we pull information from multiple OTAs (online travel agencies such as Expedia or Booking.com) and display the prices together. I am wondering why the rates listed against our property only relate to booking.com when we appear on many other sites including expedia, wotif, venere, last minute etc?

Hi! i booked a hotel yesterday for palm springs ca i received a email for hotels? now i can't get any confirmation about my hotel stay. can you help me? i put all my payment info on the trivago website. tammy

I booked a room through trivago for feb. 6th, one night at country inn and suites. file #258314571. i called the hotel too check on something and they claim they don't have a reservation for us. this is a very special getaway. my husband has to have surgery on the 12th, his life will change after this. now the hotel tells me that they are booked and we might not have a room. please respond asp as to if you sent my reservation in. thank you, sue

Certain booking sites have a specific number of rooms in which they are entitled to book for each individual hotel. Often, once their inventory is full, (all allocated rooms have been reserved) the reservations will not be sent through to the property’s own reservation system until a few weeks or even days before the guest is set to arrive. The hotel may already have your reservation in their CRS but it may not be under your name. You will need to confirm this with the booking site however. When i click on a hotel that has the red % off in the top right it takes me to the site but the discount is not available - why?

Dear Katherine, Thank you for this question and we would be happy to help. All prices on trivago are updated every day according to information provided by the booking sites. If you found a price difference between our site and the booking site, it is likely we had not yet received the update at the time you checked it. As a hotel search and not a booking site, trivago does not set prices for hotels, nor take part in any of the booking process. Another possible reason for the price discrepancy is that trivago's American and Canadian platforms show prices per room per night before taxes and fees are included. We have run several tests, and this proves to be the most recognized and common way for both retail and online products to be displayed within North America. Therefore, we try to remain as localized as possible for our different users. The majority of our European platforms display prices already including taxes and fees, as this is the norm in these countries. I saw on tv that you can use trivago to find all prices for the same hotel, how come when i go to the site it just gives me one price for each hotel? i thought this was a comparison site to give you the best price available

Dear Meagan, Thank you for your question. Hotels distribute discounted rates to multiple booking sites which are usually under the normal BAR or sell rate which can be booked directly at the hotel. What trivago does is simply displays them all together, in one place, for users to compare and choose from. Our main purpose is to help users find their ideal hotel. We do not set prices for hotels, nor take part in any of the booking process We function as a portal for hotels to advertise themselves, as well as a meta-search for booking sites to display their rates and increase the traffic to their companies. Our main goal is to help people find that particular ideal hotel to fit their needs, then they can book it however they choose. I hope this answers your query.
