Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from PortForward staff and previous consumers.
To forward a port to your laptop you need to login to your router. Yes, you can login to your router and setup a port forward for free. We have guides to login to your router at SetupRouter.com and we have guides to setup a port forward in your router at PortForward.com. Best of luck!
Yes, this shouldn't be a problem. That application is not listed as a default app yet, but I will have Allen add it ASAP. In the meantime, simply create a "Custom Application" with the following settings: TCP 80 TCP 443 TCP & UDP 15063 UDP range between 16500-32768 UDP 51504/51506 Something to note, however, is that they are requiring a HUGE number of ports to be opened, and I don't believe that they are correct. It looks to me like that list is both INCOMING and OUTGOING ports. You do not have to forward OUTGOING ports. With that said, I would start with the following: TCP 80 TCP 443 TCP & UDP 15063 That seems reasonable and fits with what most other video products need. Most likely: 80 == web view 443 == secure web view 15063 == video stream
Well today is Christmas and both of our support guys have the day off. They will both be back at it tomorrow AM PST so you should get a message from them then. In general we aim for a less than 24 hour turn around time, but sometimes it gets busy, especially after the holidays. They will definitely get to you as soon as they can, and 99% of the time they will be able to solve your network connection problems, so please be patient.
Hey Yasin, I'm trying to track you down in the support system but I only see one other Yasin and it's not you. Can you login to our support system and post a message so that I can find you without giving any personal info out here on SiteJabber. Just say something like "Hey Tedie, Jason said to tell you to forward me to him." I'll keep an eye out for you.
Hey, I have a couple of answers for you. The reason that the fields are not filled out on the website is because that is a screenshot of the actual router as you see it when you navigate to that page. On our guides if you scroll down past that screenshot you'll see a section titled "Forward Ports on the Arris SBG6900-AC" and will be filled out with exactly the ports that you want to forward based on which application you picked on the previous screen. As far as our software goes, we currently have support for the Arris SBG6700 and the SBG6783. We add support to our software as the new routers come out and I'm going to guess that we just haven't seen the SBG6900 yet. If you were to purchase our software and the config files for SBG6700 didn't work with your SBG6900 then we should have no problem adding support for it. It usually takes a couple of days to get support for a new router added. We are able to support 99% of the routers that we encounter, so I'd say that the odds are good it will work.
