When I click on the "Update Router" button, the utility keeps telling me that I need to select my router from the list, even though it's already selected.

Most likely your router password is not saved. Click on Tools, then Enter Router Username and Password, enter some values, then click Ok and try again.

If you need support please use our "Message System" from inside PFConfig. It makes it a lot easier to track problems and followup with customers.
