Nextdoor plays games with customers when they make a complaint. In addition, they claim they will respond to complaints but never do.

“They have a very liberal behind scene.”

Most contacts that comes across if consecutive, will be taken down. Their moderation does little good. I have seen six to one to keep a comment or post up and nextdoor still take it down. One good way of getting kick off, just support Trump. In fact the name national politics from the main feed just because of it. It is ok to mention BLM but don't mention any white groups. If you do, plan on getting banned fo thirty days.

If there was a zero star review….
Do not trust the Nextdoor app as they do not monitor for scammers, animal trafficking from illegal backyard breeders and act on false reports that lock out legitimate users. Their staffing is terrible and customer service incompetent. My account was locked from someone making a false report. Be careful what you post as there are people using this app to get into your personal information. Ring is a far superior place for finding out important neighborhood posts regarding criminal activity and lost pets. Nextdoor is a ridiculous excuse of an attempt at social media.

Tip for consumers:
Site is not a secure or safe place for users to share information and moderators are incompetent

Nextdoor fails to take into account that not all neighbors are friendly and safe. I question what the true endgame of Nextdoor is, as they refuse to allow you to only use first names. Recently, I was stalked and harassed by neighbors who think it is okay to racially profile and put up questionable, second hand stories about an incident involving another person from another site and the "supposed" men of a certain ethnicity that did not do anything to her, she just "felt" suspicious. It wasn't until I filed a formal complaint to Nextdoor that they took the post down. The point being that they do not monitor the content that is put up and leave the site open for people to post whatever they want. The creators of this app seem oblivious to the fact that we don't live in some utopian society where every single neighbor is as wholesome as The Andy Griffith Show and that we don't want to reveal our full identities to a possible crazed neighbor. There was a mob mentality forming on the particular post and the damage has already been done. They just open themselves up to lawsuits.

I'm always seeing hateful old ignorant people going on tirades against everyone, responding to every comment with an insult and yet; nothing happens. They allow MLMs to misrepresent their products and businesses, and scammers are rampant.

It's just a bunch of Karens whining about dog poop, asking for a Doctor recommendation, or posting pics of some random car convinced they're out to kill everyone.

It takes a special kind of person to tolerate this trash heap of unhinged.

I have been a member of Nextdoor for years and noticed numerous women, senior citizens, and many others become victimized by an individual known as Daniel Turnball in Henderson,NV. Nextdoor continues to allow this convicted thief to operate on Nextdoor. The Leads and moderators are useless. Can't wait until this site is shut down. To many people are being victimized.

Tip for consumers:
Stop allowing unlicensed companies and individuals to rip people off. These thief’s are identified and next-door does nothing.

Sites have asked me my recommendation and I said I DON'T and they remove it, I have posted about finding other reborn Christians to form a group who love JESUS & put HIM 1st to gather at a date & time & they removed it, the ppl who r in charge are fat, ugly, insecure & suffer from LDS ( little $#*! syndrome.) They permanently banned me, oh no I'm sooooo sad, yours truly Scottie the Body hung like a horse.

My experience is that it's just a group of complainers who like to $#*! and talk about local/state issues but have no incentive to do anything but complain. They don't take action in writing to their local representatives or even voting for government officials. They just like to complain and bully people who don't agree with them.

Nextdoor app lets white people post about anything but if I posted something they always had a problem for example I am a caregiver once I posted about me providing care for the elderly and they deleted my ad but someone else a white lady was posting about her job and how she can provide services for a small fee and her ad was not deleted I also heard this from other minorities groups just stating the truth.

Our local Nextdoor app has been overrun by right wing propaganda and conspiracy theory hounds, and they slam the site with ugly animal exploiting photos and flat earth arguments about everything going on with energy and the climate. If you question their logic, ask for evidence of their position, or request that they stick to the facts, you are vilified and summarily drummed off the site. Worst place in the world to go for anything.

There is a reason why Nextdoor stock has dropped 90%. Some have blamed it on the pandemic, but the main reason is the biased removal of postings based on "community standards" which are very vague and is reviewed by unknown persons. It is simply a guise to take down your opinion if it doesn't agree with their prevailing political climate of the staff. It is a sinking ship and no clear minded investor or advertiser would spend monies on a repressive organization knowing that rewards will be minimal if any

I have been consistently harassed and bullied since March 2023 by lead/moderator Melody E.after I asked why another member was disabled as it appeared to be biased She attacked me and then accused me of attacking her. I have been consistently reported and disabled now permanently. All the complaints go to her and when it moves to support she's volunteer she even bullies and threatens other leads and still gets away with it. How can we stop leads/moderators of Nextdoor from abusing others? I have in writing from another lead that she has been unfairly targeting me and others, but she continually gets away with it. We need to put it stop to it and receive compensation for the harm it caused. I have a lot of support documentation as proof of harassment/bullying of the lead, not following the guidelines, yet punishing me for reasons not against the guidelines. This is happening to a lot of members, class action suit?

The moderators and leads that control the posts are biased and do not adhere to the guidelines established by the site. They engage in public shaming, racism, discrimination, and bigotry while making up their sown rules to hold others to. The support personnel at Nextdoor do not care enough about their users to actually police the disgusting actions of their moderators.

Commented on a post for someone asking for gofundme donations to help Bury a family member. Seeking $5000 to cover burial costs. I suggested looking into creamation since it's costs are much much less than traditional burial cost. My post was deleted with no explanation. Is Putin in charge of the administrators cause it sure seems they are power oriented.

The Nextdoor app. Does not protect your privacy. They put me in harms way when we were a victim of a crime. We had a neighbor witness trespassing. There was theft of mail. When I shared with neighbors next door shut it down. Boycott this app. They are untrustworthy

They banned our nextdoor account just because we encourage our neighbors through Bible scriptures. Many neighbors loved our post, and they obviously saw that. Someone in leadership dropped the ball on deleting our account, and whoever made this decision shouldn't be ashamed of someone who is clearly on our USA DOLLAR BILL "IN GOD WE TRUST" the person who deleted us, is the one who has harassed, and moved in discriminating ways towards us and our household. We are disgusted and hurt indeed! (Military family)

So l am a handicap vet of 2 branches of the military, The Army and Airforce and a cop of 26 years. So this Karen came on to my post and attacked me so I logically defended myself. I didn't use profanity or insult, I followed the guidelines of their policy and I won the argument. So she didn't like that and she reported me! If she didn't like it she could have gone to an another post and not read mine! I'm going to the Supreme Court, the BBB and the World Trade Commission for this one! What happened to freedom of speech and expression! I'm going to report this!

Don't write the truth about what a large real estate company did to you or the post will get removed. They don't have any you know what to let users post bad things and corporations with a lot of power. I have had better luck posting the truth on facebook. They don't seem to be afraid of posting corruption between corporations and the local government.

A business hosted on Next Door is quoting labor such as hardscape repairs, is taking down payments from clients, then never showing up to do the job. Next Door has been notified but as of yet has not taken down the business. I found 4 people within an hour who had lost $4,000 to the business owner and Next Door could prevent more from being stolen by removing the business. In the future, they could vet businesses before allowing them on the Next Door app.

It is extremely difficult to create a business profile on the Nextdoor app. You are required to put your personal name on the profile and a face picture. Why would anyone creating a business profile wanna put their own picture and their own name on a business profile? I've tried to do this twice and each time my account got suspended and they are not very helpful after that

MericansNextdoor allows people to bash other people of race and ethnic backgrounds. They love when people stir the pot. Nextdoor used to be about neighbors, now all people do is complain about everyone who's lives they don't agree with. They are the worst company on the planet. Beware they are racist against minorities!

While I initially liked Nextdoor, I discovered that they libel their users who civilly and articulately voice political policy questions or opinions on topics affecting the neighborhood, by labeling them as discriminatory, which insinuates that the poster is racist or against a particular segment of the neighborhood population. They insist that people post particular topic discussions to certain groups, but have NO link in their menu for those topics or groups.
Worse, through these bans, thoughtful, empathetic, and compassionate people have their reputations damaged, which is evident in the real world by people recoiling when they discover the person was banned by Nextdoor. The recoiling people think that Nextdoor only bans repugnant or vulgar people or scammers. Not so. Nextdoor appears to target anyone who does not tow the Socialist Democratic platform or conflicts with the beliefs of a particular moderator. This is VERY anti-American.
Just because a poster uses a "key" word does not make a posting discriminatory. Moderators need to be able to read and understand concepts.
If they are going to limit freedom of speech, which they are allowed to do as a private site, they need to have direct links to where what they allow is to be posted, such as: Upcoming Events; Kittens, Dogs, Pets; Thefts and Thieves; Political Policies; and etc.
Nextdoor has the potential to lead the field in the community social environment, if they would simply allow freedom of speech. By giving people a place to express their feelings and opposition to ineffective or ludicrous policies, that would enable problem solving, which would lead to more peaceful can calm neighborhoods. But banning people and labeling them as racist or discriminatory when they aren't will eventually lead to a cascade of libel lawsuits against Nextdoor.

Tip for consumers:
Not only do they libel their users, by labeling their posts as discriminatory and racist when they are not, but they do not adequately screen the items for sale to determine whether they are not a scam.

Products used:
No product... but the services of the free forum for neighbors. This review is for a Social Media site, Nextdoor, which does offer items for sale along with a forum for discussion.

Anytime I say anything right leaning, comment positively about Trump, or negatively about Biden, I get put in time out for anywhere from 5 days to 3 weeks. I can't say Brandon, but others can use names like Orange Man, etc. When I flag it, it stays up. Even when I put comments like that in the Politics for All group, this happens every time. They will misconstrue anything you post to say it's discriminating, biased, hate speech, anything at all to kick you off! It's run by a bunch of young no-nothings in SF who all support the radical left. Even if I comment on someone's post, they will lock me out, but not the original poster! This country is going down the tubes, and this site won't let you intelligently discuss it. I tried several times to post something about the film, "2000 Mules". There must be an algorithm that won't even let it post. I had to write in code...the movie about donkeys, etc. I was told Nextdoor thinks it's disinformation. All I was saying was watch it for yourself and see if it doesn't at least raise some questions in your mind. I think I'm now on their radar, and I get locked out all the time now. I urge everyone who leans right, just get off of it. Less users, less advertising money, they will go under.

Very left leaning and biased

People post all the time in "politics for all" things derogatory about Trump...orange man, orange god, etc. When someone even mentions "Brandon" it is immediately taken down. You can't even mention the film "2000 Mules". Apparently there is an algorithm that won't let you post anything about that. Nextdoor is a very left leaning site run by young brainwashed lefties in San Francisco, and if they don't like what you say, they disable your account. I got disabled just for responding to a post, pointing out that what was posted was not true. You can't discuss Rand Paul's Festivus Report about waste in the Federal budget, not even in the politics for all forum. They say it's misinformation, and it's taken down. There is something very sinister going on in this country when you cannot discuss these topics. You should be able to discuss 2000 mules and voter fraud, but you are not allowed to, it's labeled disinformation. Why? Because these lefties running the site know nothing, and don't want to open their eyes and see what is going on! I encourage everyone who is even the least bit right leaning to get off the site. They need advertisers to survive, and if not many are on there, they'll lose money, as well they should!

Very biased censorship

They will shut you down if you say anything they don't agree with. If you say something about Covid, elections, Government and they don't like it, they call is "misinformation" and take it down, even when you post a link to validate what you post. There is a lot of information and tools about white privilege and racism on the homepage and it's nonsense. Ask yourself...if this country is so racist, why is the Gov. Letting people of color swarm into our country? You would think they would be telling the world, no, no, go back, you don't want to come to this racist place where you will never get ahead! Both cannot be true! It's race baiting. They have an essay on the site, https://nationalseedproject.org/Key-SEED-Texts/white-privilege-unpacking-the-invisible-knapsack written in 1989 full of BS. Racial relations and opportunity have come a long way even since then, but for these lefties, it's never enough, and all the blame goes to white skin color. I encourage everyone to just get off the site and stop empowering these race baiting people.

I used nextdoor business ads all summer and continued into the following spring. I did not recieve one phone call, it's beyond amazing how someone can spend so much money and not get one phone call. This a mostly useless platform, mostly for people with nothing better to do with their time. Unfairly blocked from this platform because I made a post about the rural carrier in our neighborhood not delivering packages and often when they are delivered they are put in the wrong box. I suspect he lurks on this platform because 1 day after posting my account was permanently banned. Reported and even though I did not use my full name on that site, I am sure the incompetent rural carrier figured out it was me because I am very vocal to the postal master here about missing packages and mail. Oh well, lol.

Tip for consumers:
I do not recommend Nextdoor because of the blatant bullying and how you can be just kicked off for posting something that someone doesn't like.
