Usually not. Most of the time your food won't even arrive, ever.

Angela, I wish you could train others in your company to be as diligent in getting orders to their customers. You sound like an awesome employee!
I live in Phoenix, AZ, and my orders are NEVER delivered in the time "offered," with the exception of this past Wednesday, they are usually only about 10 - 15 minutes later... however this last order took nearly 4 hours to get to me. :/

I drive for Grubhub in Austin, and so far I have never been late in fact I am well under the suggested time. The app gives the driver an hour but I have never needed that. I have had one restaurant that would make me nearly late all the time. A small mom and pop shop that admittedly was having a time keeping up with the orders coming in and getting confused. I think they stopped using GH and I am glad because they were messing up my stats. I call my customers when I am leaving the restaurant and make sure there are no special instructions about finding their house that I should know just so they are in the loop. But I am a new driver and a bit OCD so I just strive for perfection. I am curious as to what area you all live in. I am taken aback by all the negative feedback.

I've never had food delivered in the estimated time. It always takes much longer. Once in a while, I would get a call advising me of the delay but it still didn't arrive in the estimated time. I've given up using GrubHub at all. Best advice is to call the restaurant directly.

The short answer is no, it takes slightly longer than the estimated time for delivery. The longer answer is there are other headaches involved with ordering that delay delivery. I've used this service approximately 8 times and I had to call the restaurant (different restaurant with each problem) on 4 occasions due to the delivery exceeding the estimated time. Normally the delivery time for me is 60-75 minutes on average. The actual time is usually 80-100 minutes after submitting the order on the app (in my experience). I've had friends who had a slightly better experience and friends who had it much worse than I did. There seems to be a disconnect between the GrubHub service and the restaurant. Unless the restaurant is misleading me, when called, they often say that the order just came through on their end. My last order took over two hours to arrive. That was the last time I used the service. Now, I just use the app to locate a restaurant that I like and call them directly. My average food delivery time is down to 30-45 minutes.
