The only security issue here would be to send what they want! I can't believe they don't realize what they are asking. I'm pretty sure scammers would go for higher $$$ than the 0-20$ range I used to pay for their crap. Customer service inexistent s they repeat the same sentences over and over again in pretty bad english.
Credit card companies already have their own security checks. I'm going back to Ebay.
I purchased a $700 item and paid instantly. Seller Name: GoodLuckBuy.
two weeks later the seller send me a message (they go straight to your spam folder… smart aliexpress) saying he didn't have the item in stock, and will ship when he can.
I checked with other suppliers, and many renamed the publication as "back order", although the delivery times and shipping remained the same in the system.
It seems the manufacturer would punish them if they offered a discount, and because of the currently running 11.11 discount, most decided to just delaay the delivery, rather than stopping the publications (causing losses to buyers)
My seller didn't update the publication. He just kept allowing orders as normal and purposely delaying them.
I wanted to cancel the order, considering the item was not in stock, but the seller MARKED THE ITEM AS SHIPPED.
Yes, ALIEXPRESS.COM ALLOWS SELLERS to MARK ITEMS AS SHIPPED without validating the tracking number, so sellers can enter a BOGUS tracking number to lock the sale up the maximum delivery time allowed in the term and conditions (60 days), despite you paid for 5-10day shipping.
Unable to cancel it, I opened a dispute, and the chat operators adviced me to wait.
In three different chats none of them adviced me to reject the item, until a last operator told me "in his whole year in the company, his experienced was 'it is better to receive the item" or I could be guilty of breaking the contract!
By the third operator I already knew the answers given were not useful or even misdirecting, so they would just go "I'm glad I was able to help. Do you have any question? No? Well, thank you for contacting us…" all in the same second, to get disconnected, or kept looping between the same two answers over and over to wear you down!!! like a robot (which I know they are not, because some expressed their frustration because I was not happy with the hollow answers.
This operator was trying to convince me to accept te mail (my question was what to do in the worst scenarios, like the seller shipping anyway DHL and still arriving before the 60 days, despite my written request to cancel the order).
In short, I was told many times to "wait", "not to worry", sometimes I was told the protected money didn't include shipping, others told me the protection only protects the item value, not the shipping… I was even told "the escalated dispute could be decided against my favor "because I didn't cancel it before shipping", despite the whole dispute would be managed by human beings who could easily spot the seller's fraud.
I quickly escalated the dispute and that only ADDED EXTRA TIME FOR THE SELLER TO SHIP IT.
Fortunately for me, I told the seller that I would reject the shipping, so that discourages them from shipping a brick, just to generate a tracking number (yes, they could)
The escalation "experts" (I bet another 90% system overviewed by two people superficially reading the notes, and clicking the pre-defined buttons to favor the seller in different ways) gave the seller 3 days to provide a valid tracking number. Not THE tracking number, but A tracking number, completely omitting the fact the seller ALREADY COMMITTED FRAUD and giving him another chance to FORCE ME to accept the item, as if he had never cheated the system to prevent me to fairly cancel the transaction.
Today, 3 days after the expiration of the request, the dispute is STILL OPEN (it was not automatically setup to close when the seller fails to provide the proofs, which proofs there's no real intentions to punish dishonest sellers.
Read the tips below I gathered for you, at least from two incidents. (All the chat saved conversations and screenshots are disponibles to anyone contacting me)
Another seller, ThanksBuyer, was honest enough to let me know they were not shipping the item because the manufacturer prohibits them to sell that a dime cheaper, so everyone selling the same item were not shipping until after 11.11. They offered me to buy it from their own website (against AliExpress rules) and although their website looked legit, I didn't take the risk right now that my planets are favoring online scams.
GoodLuckBuy decided to lock the sale marking it as "shipped" instead, and AliExpress protects both, filling the "Buyer Protection" marketing with big words, when they are actually POWERLESS.
Tip for consumers: 1) The delivery times are NOT ENFORCED.
There's nothing you can do to protect from this, since the seller will mark the item as shipped and you can't do a thing to stop them, so you better be ready to wait three months for the item (60 days for the shipping and 30 for the disputes extending the limits in favor of the seller.
2) The Buyer's protection is a SCAM:
2-a) The original dispute can be REJECTED by the seller. It's just an asterisk in the seller email to remind the seller not to p
So, I'm a college student and buying clothes isn't easy when prices add up. I use aliexpress as one of my go-to stores. I am a pretty flexible person when it comes to clothes as I am not expecting my clothes to be top-quality all-around designer clothes. If you want that, you go to a store that sells those types of articles. However, when I first found out about this store, I was already expecting it to have average views. Why? First of all, the store is in China. The people in China make the clothes. They're intended for small people, but try to accommodate American sizes. Secondly, the store is cheap. So, you ideally get what you pay for. I've never had any problems with the store in terms of my sizing being off for clothes I purchased. I always estimate the clothing either being true to size since I'm petite or a size larger. You should ALWAYS measure yourself in cm and NEVER inches. Also, look at the reviews. It will save yourself. Common sense people: never purchase something without a decent amount of reviews. I only purchase clothes with not only reviews, but reviews with photographs of the clothing.
Horrible site please do not use!!!!! I purchase a skirt from this site and the product arrived and looked nothing like the picture. The cheap price tag grabs your attention but the quality of the material makes you run away. I had an horrible experience and do not recommend to anyone.
I placed order from this company online. After reading the bad review about this website, I decided to cancel the order. Guess what? The website REFUSED my cancellation, can you imagine?? Ok, I have to wait without choice. I got a notification about DHL delivery for today, guess what, when I check it again, the goods is in Hong Kong. These guys are liars. My conclusion never use this site for anything. Unfortunately it is a Chinese company.
I bought 36 replica Morgan silver dollars of diffrent dates from 8 different sellers .I compared them with some real ones I have and and they look exactly the same I paid about 45 dollars for all of them.I especailly like when they make them look old.I also bought 5 ten dollar gold piece and 3 five dollar gold pieces and 2 2 1/2 gold pieces the ones with the indain head these look by far the best when they do not try to make them look older this cost about 21 dollars total.I think It depends what you buy on ali express probably somthings are to big or to expensive to sell at such a cheap price because shipping big items from china to united states with onlyone order might be to expensive.
I placed an order on the website July 29th, 2015 and today is November 22nd, 2015 and I have yet to receive my order. A little history about what happened. The postal company could not locate the delivery address and therefore they sent the package back. Since I realized this had happened I messaged the seller back in September. They said ok they will send a new dress. Once again no shipping notification was made. Two weeks later I messaged again, the seller said they did not receive the package back as yet. Once again I gave it some more time. In October I asked for a refund, the seller said send the address the order will be resent. I messaged back 10 days later saying once again i received no shipping notification. The seller messaged saying they have not received the package back as yet. It has now been nearly 3 months since the order was placed and I have received no dress and no money. In a good business they would accept this as a lost because of the shipping company and satisfy the company. I would have been ok with accepting another dress or even a credit at the store so they would not lose the money. Everytime I message they keep saying they have not received the dress back. This is not my fault, I did not receive the dress and send it back I never received it so this is not my issue. Never again will I buy from this site and more specifically this store. I will continue to write reviews on every website about how this store STOLE my money and never sent my product!
Tip for consumers: DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE
Store: Guangzhou Ladyce Dress Co., Ltd
I I'm a hairstylist and purchase lots of virgin hair as well as styling tools from this site. I have never had a problem with the quality and I always receive my items in a timely manner. The key is watch the reviews I only purchased from vendors that have feedback with positive numbers and positive results if the vendor does not have feedback or if none of the reviews are from an American customer do not buy
why does aliexpress dont help customers get back their money? I shopped at wholesale shoes and they didnt send them but lied all the way through that they had shipped my goods and when I caught them in their lie they said they couldnt refund until 10 days then offer to resend the slippers . I agreed and until now all my messages sent to them have been ignored and unanswered.I WANT EVERYONE TO STOP BUYING FROM THEM AS THEY WILL ROB YOU OF YOUR MONEY ENTIRELY..
I ordered a jacket with a North Face label so I thought it would be good. The jacket sleeves were 5 inches too short so the jacket is unwearable. I went thru the dispute process and pointed out that the standard size charts (as used by AliExpress) specified the 5 inch longer sleeves. The seller responded that the short sleeves were normal and I should send it back at my expense. AliExpress allowed a 30% refund or a full refund if I paid for shipping. Now I have a $50 rag. AVOID ALL PURCHASES FROM ALIEXPRESS.
They promised me a refund but never received it!!

I am new to aliexpress and placed two separate orders to them. I was frustrated to receive many emails informing me I need to pay and also comments from sellers informing me, on the doubled up orders, that I need to pay. I spent most of the morning sorting, deleting and arguing with sellers etc. Extremely frustrating. Also, sellers telling me I need to make up my orders to certain amounts, to guarantee shipping and arrival. Very frustrating and not trustworthy.
I placed an order without checking the reviews here. I simply liked the underwears that they were selling for $4.99 and which I would buy in Toronto for $15/piece. I understand from the site that delivery will be 14-1`7 days. I received an email on October 28, 2015 advising me my order was shipped. It is now Nov 19 and I have yet to see the delivery. Is it normal for the vendors to not actually not meet their timetable? The Buyer Protection ends on Dec. 6. anyone who had success extending the protection plan?
I generally make sure the seller has a lot of good feedback and I read the negative reviews to see what could potentially happen...so far I have recieved all 18 items I have ordered and one I paid over 400 dollars...no negative experiences yet...have more horror stories of ebay! Atleast on aliexpress you can see what people are saying about an individual poduct to paint a clear picture of what you might feel...on ebay it can be a gamble....you might get junk
People complain about the quality but if you are paying 8 dollars for a coat its not gona be amazing quality. If you are reasonable this site is great. No issues with service delivery or customer service.
I've shopped 'ali' three times at least.....one was great ! my issue is the return policies for errors in what was advertised and what was sent. This last time is the cutest ! Order very nice & in english with seller. Upon arrival product was three times to small. ok , simply return right ? no, all future contacts with seller were in Chinese and the translation screen was of no help. Tried to email ' Ali " for help....none available. So, now i have the second product I will give to charity....might be the third....so exasperating i try not to remember. If this company continues in business they will have to go a long way in improvements before I trust them again. I simply say " DON'T " !!
Purchased a pair of LED headlights for my car, from 'LED Leader' in China. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2015-Newest-4th-Gen-60W-8000LM-Kit-ETI-LED-Headlight-30W-4000LM-9006-HB4-9012-Bulbs/32335615903.html
There were supposed to come with a 2 year warranty. One of the lights died after just a month. I tried emailing the seller with no response. I also contacted customer service, and still no response. My credit card company won't reimburse me for car parts. Basically, I'm out $50 US. WILL NEVER BUY OR RECOMMEND ANYTHING FROM ALIEXPRESS EVER AGAIN!! TOTAL SCAM!!!!!
I began shopping from aliexpress last year and from that point I have continued doing business with them. I find that they offer quality products, free shipping when orders are over a certain amount and fast. I travel a lot and received compliments every time. Because I'm known in my hometown to be a very classy and sophisticated lady they assume that what I am wearing they probably can't afford but I share with them this website when I tell them how much I paid for it. I also tell them that how the rich stay rich by being smart shoppers.
The received product was due for refund. Dispute was opened and..."finished" and my refund "processed".... I never received it though....
On my E-mails they send me to look here and there at my bank statements, but of course
there were no sign of any refund....
Than AliExpress simply stopped answering, instead Postmaster was delivering back my messages as the Complains E-mail address was fake.
I have never really had any issues with them. I have bought 20-30 things off there, and maybe had one incident, but wasn't even a big deal enough for me to remember at all. I adore the site and my sister uses it too without any issue either. I recommend it to my friends.
I have been having bad luck lately with this site.Crooked sellers, and scammers.I had a order from two sellers in the last two months that were "frozen" because of fake sellers.I am so depressed,I have to wait for a refund, and all my Christmas gifts i ordered for gifts are cancelled. They have no real people only a robot to talk to.I used to feel good about shopping here but lately its froze lost orderes and sellers selling broken products.I am really sad and descuraged instead of excited im sad.I just dont know who to trust here anymore.
THERE IS NO BUYER PROTECTION WHATSOEVER HERE. IT'S NONSENSE. I AM DOWN $2670. BUYER LIED, SAID GOODS WERE SENT AND GAVE ME A DUFF TRACKING NUMBER. BEEN WAITING OVER A MONTH AND SO CALLED PROTECTION HAS RUN OUT. NO-ONE HELPS, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
Sure there's some dodgy businesses on Ali, but no more than you'd find on eBay. I've been an AliExpress user for almost 3 years with only a small amount of problems. The toughest part is finding a supplier that can supply the number of items reliably. Once you find 'em stick with them and you'll gain a great business relationship.
Tip for consumers: It can be difficult to find the right supplier but when you do, stick with them to build a respectful business relationship.Ask Gadget about AliExpress
First I'd like to say many people are getting frustrated because it is hard to understand its site.
Ali really should have a local place in the USA to handle its American customers.
But the fault lays on us a bit as well.
We all want the best for the cheapest, Well the old saying "You get what you pay for" comes into play. I found if I start my search with "Highest Rated" sellers and then look for a good price, I have almost no problems at all.
DO NOT JUST LOOK UNDER CHEAPEST PRICE FIRST.
Second, When I did get ripped off (Before I learned this lesson) The nice lady from Ali spent almost 3/4 hour to walk me through and get the seller to pay up.
I have been buying through Ali for about a year now.
It is getting better, And is still a great deal if you are careful.
CHECK YOU YOUR SELLER FIRST.
AliExpress is the same as eBay, They do not sell the items.
There are bad sellers out there. "Let the buyer beware" is the standard in any sale.
Now this is the place where you get good bargains I have been shopping with them for over 2 years now and had no problem but you might get the odd one here and their which I only had 1 seller that I did not like very bad attitude and ripped me off with a mobile phone battery was dead and phone fell to bits seller is Candy Mona Lisa(Liza). I would recommend family and friends to shop on this site. ( just be aware of certain sellers).
I bought a Bluetooth speaker and the battery would not charge. I disputed the item because it didn't work as intended. I sent the seller a video of the defective speaker, they offered to give me half of my money back if I left 4 stars, for a product that only works when plugged in. I told the seller that there was no way I could leave 4 stars for a product that did not work as advertised. Aliexpress took over the dispute and promptly gave the seller full purchase price. I'm left with a usb cord, because I threw the speaker away. I'm very displeased with the quality of items and aliexpress customer service. I have bought several items from aliexpress in the past. Be wary of electronic items. I believe I have bought my last item here.
I also ordered a winter jacket on 24/9/2015. it said will be delivered 15-45 days but till now hasn't arrived yet. ! From the beginning I already feel suspicious with this website but I was lured by the discount price and pictures. Having just read all the reviews, I am freaking scared that I would be the next victim.
I have been waiting for my goods for 3 months. I checked their location and it turned out they are sent to another country because of the reason "not full address". So I have found out that our country want to have full name of the buyer, but Aliexpress has a standard form where they mention only the name. This situation lasts for a while, and they have been informed about these requirements. But they haven't changed the address form yet, in spite of customers complaints! And all my goods are somewhere else, but not in my country.
I love this site because it makes it easy to find products, particularly Chinese products, that are difficult to acquire in some countries. Products take some time to ship, but that is because I live so far away. Knowing that ahead of time, I have had only good experiences with the delivery time and quality of the things I buy. Just like any site, checking reviews and doing some product research is really the key to finding exactly what you were looking for. I will be using them in the future.
I ordered an item from seller in Aliexpress. Waited a few MONTHS for the delivery and the item was sent to a different country. I escalated a dispute and advised for a couple of WEEKS to see if the item arrives. Still NO ITEM. Then I'll have to wait for a couple more days so that someone from Aliexpress can review the case.
REALLY SLOW in resolving disputes and claims. BUYER PROTECTION IS A JOKE. You cannot call them on the phone only CHAT (good luck finding the link).
You cannot leave a feedback to the seller when you do not complete a transaction (buyer confirmed that the goods were received) hence only positive feedback can be seen. DECEITFUL!!!!
I lost a couple of hundred of dollars because of AliExpress. I've been a victim of fraud in eBay as well but that was my fault (did not use PayPal). However eBay's support is better and quicker that Aliexpress (THERE IS NO SUPPORT!!!! ALL YOU CAN DO IS WAIT AND HOPE)
I paid for a phone charger using my credit card through their alipay system.
They charged my credit card multiple times in the few weeks after ordering the charger without my authorization, I had to get the bank involved to solve the issue.
Do not trust them, Your credit card details will not be secure and they will probably steal money from you (Just google it and you will see many have had the same problem)
Only purchased through AliExpress once. Did not receive what I paid for. I ordered an item in Brown and received one in Silver. Even though I submitted pictures, the seller insisted it was Brown. Had to initiate a dispute with AliExpress and although it was determined the item I received did not match what I purchased, I was still held responsible for the majority of the cost, not the seller. It was insulting that I was offered a $3 refund after paying over $20. In fact the seller, who was extremely rude and threatened me, received almost all of what I initially paid. Then when I tried leaving feedback on the seller's site so others would be aware, AliExpress never posted my feedback. In all my years and thousands of purchases online, I have never experienced a worse online buying experience or worse customer service. I would never risk buying through AliExpress again as their priority is clearly protecting their own sellers and not the customer!
I am an upset customer who made a purchase from you and received it broken. The package itself was in impeccable shape however, the product was broke. I reached out to express my concern to have a new one replaced and was told.. "Sorry, the shipping is too expensive" I have paid for this product and order it with "FREE SHIPPING" by there choice. I feel we as customers should be advised if the product comes damaged we cant complain because the shipping is free. Nor can I get a full refund. I am out of the product and monies spent. PLEASE NOTE:::: NO refunds or exchanges on damaged items with free shipping. Guest what!! they also cancel your account.. the disputes and all orders is gone from my account....I still have another item to be delivery?? or not..
4x west ham shirt where wrong size. badge was wrong and writing was pink on the shirt. won't give me address to send back after asking 3 times. wants to give me partial refund for something that will go in bin.
Keep away from this seller.
Aliexpress is not really helping when they offer a low refund if i don't get a agreement with the seller. so all the seller has to do is ignore me and he will only have to pay the partial refund.
I ordered lace from Garment Fabric Fashion. It came in as sampled on site. However my second purchase of the same item came in not at all the same. It was cheaper looking. I lost 321.00 because I shipped it back because of the dispute time you have which is ridiculous way to do business. Aliexpress is geared towards the seller rather than the buyer and I spent several hours on the chat. I was told by the chatter I would receive my 321.00 back. I had the saved conversation, but the saved chat will not let you send it to another site chatter who asked for it for proof. Garment Fabric Fashion has the same lace up the cheaper picture & the better picture still to this day. So if you get the wrong item and the seller does not credit back you lose and will not be able to do anything about it. I find it distrustful when any site does not have phone numbers or anything to get in contact with the site and the chatters have their rehearsed comments.
As a new user, I created an account on aliexpress website and placed an order. At first, when I went to pay for the order, payment was declined. I tried again, but then called my bank. Turned out there was a restriction due to merchant being in China. Bank unblocked the funds and I replaced that order and then a second one.
Both orders were marked as paid and I got notice that orders had been shipped. Feeling good about this, I figured I'd shop for a couple other items to get good prices. I found 3 other items of interest and placed 3 orders, using the same information as the first 2.
'Payment Confirmed' the system told me, but then a few hours later I get notified that all 3 orders were closed and that payment failed verification for security reasons. I got hold of an online agent via chat and explained that 2 orders had been successfully processed and pending delivery.
The robot agent claimed that my card would need to be verified in order for me to use it on the site [but wait, I used it twice already!].
How could I complete the process? I asked. The agent said they needed copies of my passport, drivers licence, both sides of card and copies of corresponding bank statement...and to send it by email. My redflags went soaring immediately.
I told them that I was not comfortable sending such documents by email, and more so after the card in question was already used in 2 other orders which were less than 24hours apart from the last 3.
I even explained that in a scenario where identity needed to be verified, email is not the best way to do such verification [anyone can claim to be anything via email, if all they need are digital image copies of personal documents].
Furthermore, rule#1 of online engagement is never give out personal info to unknown entities, much less via email. I even offered samples of other online merchants who verify card information without resorting to privacy violations: I know paypal, localphone and several others who do verifications by depositing and withdrawing tiny amounts [less than 25 cents] from the bank account in question and then have you verify the exact amounts.
This works because only you should have immediate access to your bank statements and transaction history to know how much went in/out. Unless your identity is already compromised, this method is easy and reliable and there's no need for sending COPIES OF MY IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS to some email inbox in China.
I even compared to scenario where shopping in a physical store, if the cashier ask to see my ID because I'm using my card, then that's ok because the cashier will look at it and verify my name and face on ID. But cashier won't make photocopies and also ask for bank statements.
I explain all this detail in the chat and the response I got was that if I don't feel comfortable sending confidential data, I could blur out the information on the images, but leave my name and photo visible.
I told them that did not make sense because
A) They have no prior reference for my visual appearance, so they cannot 'verify' anything of that regard,
B) They're online store and cannot employ the same verification steps as a physical store,
C) I'm not going to photoshop my own ID just to acquire cheap products
D) I'm certainly not going to email said photoshopped documents to an unknown party so they can sell it without my knowledge and permission, because really what else will they do with the information after so called verifications? I'm also guessing that verified info will be worth a lot more on the open market.
E) the same rules of safety and security that may be available to me in USA are likely not available or applicable in a case of identity theft over email...with China as backdrop.
Yeah, no thanks. I hung up the chat session. Hopefully my 2 first and last orders will show up.
STAY AWAY FROM ALIEXPRESS.COM
It's a scam waiting for the right prey. Don't let it be you.
Imagine if you had to present all the aforementioned documents each time you used your bank-issue [should be more secure, than western union right?] card when shopping online at say amazon, ebay, newegg, overstock, bestbuy, paypal, google playstore etc.? How crazy would that be and is that really more secure?
NEVER give out personal information online! Just because you live online does not mean the internet is secure. Facebook may tell you so, but does not make it fact or substitute for good sense.
Physical stores can ask to see ID when you pay using a card because you're there in person and can be verified by ID picture. Now imagine if in the same situation the cashier says you need to also present bank statement and that they'll need copies of everything. How absurd would that be?
This is what aliexpress does to you, and worse via email. So they don't see you, and can't truly verify that it's really you, but yet they claim it's the only way to verify information...and it's for you own good. STEER CLEAR!
I ordered and paid 122.00 for Minnie Mouse Crib Set From "Baby Kingdom,Demi Wang, item "out of stock", Aliexpress has not looked into why this seller has not refunded and rejected a refund knowing she does not carry item ordered. Its takin forever for refund. No Help from AliExpress, Dont Shop Here
I recently buy an iPhone lens through Aliexpress but got a cheap broken lens but when i complained, i was told to to submit clear pictures, i did but was told to resubmit clear pictures, i explained that the blurry pictures were from the broken lens i received, they denied my case because i did not submit clear pictures. Aliexpress failed me and supported a scammer selling cheap broken lens that do not work with iPhones. Do not buy from Aliexpress, they won't support buyers
