Following the purchase of a ticket, Air China cannot confirm the outbound flight and offered me either an upgrade option or a different date, both were significantly higher than market rates. I then requested a full refund but they said there were cancellation fees because the return flight had already been confirmed.
My options following a purchase were either to pay extra or pay extra!
To my knowledge, this is illegal and a scam.

Booked a car in Barcelona at 10pm. The listing made no mention of the after-hours 60 EUR charge from 10 pm onward and provided the wrong telephone contact info.
I Immediately used their site to search if there was any difference in price between opening hours and after-hours for another day, and found none at ALL!
They refused to apologise, acknowledge or compensate for the surprise charge. This is unacceptable anywhere and certainly illegal.
Tip for consumers:
Simply AVOID!

Our representative tried to assist you with the alternate option -regrettably due to no consent from your end changes were not made in the itinerary which you booked online.
Nonetheless refund was processed upon receiving your consent on the cancellation charges.
