Use SkyScanner for flight prices and then when you book your flight do so directly with the airlines.
GoToGate misrepresents information and you will get better service, less charges with a direct airline booking:

I have spelled my name incorrectly, can I change it?

No. Most airlines do not allow name changes. However, they will usually overlook minor errors, such as individual letters. But we cannot guarantee that you will be permitted to check in if your name is spelled incorrectly.
According to the airlines rules, it is not possible to change or correct names. When a booking includes more than one airline there may also be technical problems with any change. We therefore stress the importance of correctly entering all names as they appear in the passport at the time of making the booking.
They may overlook minor errors, such as individual letters. But please note that you travel at your own risk. We can never guarantee that a ticket with an incorrect name will be accepted.

THE AIRLINES SAY:
British Airways

If the name of the traveller is spelt wrong or doesn't match their name on their passport:
Most spelling mistakes in the name of a traveller can be easily corrected over the phone, where all of the flights on your ticket are operated by British Airways. There is no charge for this type of change, however if the taxes, fees, carrier imposed charges or fuel surcharges on your ticket have changed since you made the booking we will need to take any additional payment at this point. (It's more complicated when other airlines are on your e-ticket, but our agents will explain to you what will happen.)

If you want to completely change one of the people booked to travel:
If you have made a booking for the wrong person and you find this out within one day of making the booking, we have a 24 hour cooling off period in which you can call British Airways customer services and cancel the booking and receive a full refund.

Correcting a spelling mistake

If you have made a spelling mistake or abbreviated your name when booking your flight online, theres no need to worry. You can make small corrections of up to 3 characters free of charge online. Simply log on to Manage bookings and find your booking and then select the Change name option. Please note that there is a maximum limit of 3 characters per name.

If you are unable to make the changes online, small corrections can also be made before you fly at the airport from either the Customer Service Desk or Bag Drop Desk. Please note that changes must be made 2 hours prior to your scheduled time of departure.
The earlier you make changes to your booking then the lower any fees and charges will be. Making a name change prior to 60 days (or more before your flight) will be cheaper than making changes closer to your departure.

Ryanair
Oops, I made a mistake in my booking can I change it straight away?
Dont worry, customers who have booked their flight directly on the Ryanair.com website have a 24 hour grace period from the time of original booking, to correct any minor errors (i. E. spelling of names, incorrect routings/dates).

Charges apply to changes made to flight dates, routes or times. These are calculated per one way flight/per person and vary season to season.

I made a card with a photo.

I had made a mistake with a word and would have been able to have corrected it when I noticed the error on confirmation email. Also a photo on the back cover did not download even though it was showing on the card before I ordered it. I received the confirmation email 6 hours after the order was received and so the card had already been dispatched. I was told by the Moonpig rep that this happens with Macs and was offered a 50% discount on resending the card. This was a sympathy card so that was not an appropriate result. He also recommended that next time I check with them once I send a card from a Mac for confirmation. Next time I'm using Apple.

Booking.com does not have a customer service.

All the hundreds of complaints on this and other websites state, most of the time, that Booking.com was contacted when the problem arose AND THEN Booking.com does nothing most of the time leaving us to rant and rave on these websites and then a Booking.com posts a message for more information, info that they already have.
Why didn't they resolve the problem in the first place?

Booking rely on this shoddy customer service as most people don't have the time, energy or confidence to fight them and walk away out of pocket.

I am currently looking at my legal options but will be posting very actively my experiences.

Tip for consumers:
READ THE CONTRACT.
They cover themselves for absolutely everything and screw you for absolutely everything.
