Purchased what was advertised as a "like new" iPhone XS Max from Glyde, which advertises themselves as taking only the best pre-owned devices, meticulously going over every inch to make sure the devices listed for sale are exactly as advertised. After placing my order and receiving a confirmation email, I patiently waited for my shipping notification and tracking number. Nothing. Next day, nothing. Tried, unsuccessfully, to reach someone at the company for that info. This is another area that is a total waste. There is literally almost no customer service whatsoever. I went through the weekend with no response or shipping notification. On Monday, I sent another email asking for tracking as my phone had still not shipped. Magically, I received an email with tracking. When the phone arrived, it had a screen protector already installed which immediately set off my alarms. I removed the protector to find the screen completely full of scratches with the upper right hand corner of the screen covered with deep scratches.
I immediately sent an email describing what condition the phone was in (nowhere near like new) and that I would like a return label and full refund, as that's what their site advertises so heavily, "We've Got Your Back!". I've since sent three more emails and have received absolutely no response. I've tried tweeting them but get zero in return.
My advice? Stay far, far away from this site. Doing some digging, it appears they're no more than a middle man for outside sellers to peddle their phones through which is why there is almost no customer and zero help. Use Swappa. They've never let me down and check all the right boxes.
Buying a pre-owned phone can not only be very expensive but nerve wracking at the same time as you're putting your trust in the other party to advertise, provide and deliver what they're advertising. Based on my experience, Glyde certainly does not fit this bill.
