BEAWARE! On Wednesday, February 1, looked up on CheapOair.com and found a good deal, but only to find that the return flight back was not exactly cleared so I call. The agent, Mr. Tristian (I hope I am spelling correct) was very helpful, attentive and made me feel valued. He explained the return flight procedure. Since it was not what I expected he helped me search for a better airfare. Offered me to upgrade to Cabin Class because of the many luggages we had, but then after talking with the airline he considered it to be useless since I still had to check in our bags. I was very thankful for his honesty. When booking I had explained that I needed to charge with two different credit cards he offered to split the booking in two parts. He was able to charge the first booking successfully and quickly, however for the second booking which had only two passengers he told me he needed to transfer me to another department and that I should give my booking number and let them know that I needed to add a credit card and it wouldn't be any problem. From that point on it turned out into a total nightmare for me. The agent lady told me that that booking no longer was available as the fare increased
And that she needed to find me a different flight. I was very upset as I told her that I just finish booking seven and these two, which included my granddaughter of only 2 years and her father. I explained that my granddaughter couldn't travel without her mother and miraculously, she came back and offered me the same fare I originally had. Gave her the credit card information. She made me wait more than an hour on the phone. She told me that it usually takes long for the card to go through. I said why, when my first booking went smoothly and fast why for these 2 passenger is taking forever! Finally she came back and told me everything was good and to wait an hour, that I will receive an email confirmation with the fare numbers. More than an hour passed by and I checked my email and it stated PENDING so I decided to call back only to get a different agent, Freda (third agent). Again explained my situation for only to hear that the reason was because the fare has gone up and she reassured me that nothing was charged. She sold me a fare which was $209 more from the original price given. At this point I had no choice but to purchase the fares. When I checked with my bank apparently the originally price that the agent, Tristen had booked and that second agent charged was already been charged after I repeatedly ask agent Freda (third agent) if she was absolutely sure that my card was not charged and she said it was not. I called again requesting to speak to a supervisor, was kept on hold forever. Tried and tried many times to no avail. Called again and finally a fourth male agent confirmed the charges. I argued why Freda (third agent) couldn't have told me about the charge. Fourth agent deviated my question and instead charged me the difference. He also said he would call me after the charge has gone through, but never did. Again called and called by this time it was already 10pm. Spoke agent Verne (fifth agent) whom took care of the error on my booking and finally send me my confirmation and ticket numbers via email. Overall with all their BS, the unjustly overcharged and their excuse about the airline increasing their fare prices made me realize that they were looking to take advantage of my situation and take more money out of me. Why was my card charged without anyone knowing at first, charged my card again only to call several times and find out that yes it was the first time and still had to pay for the difference in prices after the fact? Very disappointed and stressed out.
