It's a great way to meet people from near and far, there's no obligation to commitments until both parties come to a mutual agreement. I went out on many dates and met some very nice people and. We'll just leave it at nice. So many people on this site, better than bar's or club's. But overall it was nice experience, my patience paid off, who knew I would meet the love of my life here, so happy.
There are some flaws in the software but I'm sure Zoosk techs will remedy the problem.

Zoosk offers basic usability features at a high up-charge. There is no real "matchmaking" part of the software (I went through my Smartpicks every day for over a month and it never refined.) It is tough to tell if people still use the website (no one deactivates their profile), and there is no filter for non-paying members, so your message may never reach them. Almost no one fills out hobbies or writes a profile. The default filter shows people hundreds of miles away. If you want to pay $30+ a month so you don't affiliate yourself with Tinder, then this may be the site for you, otherwise I would steer clear.
Pros: Not Tinder, No Scammers (in my experience)
Cons: Price, Few Active Members, Incomplete Profiles, No Real Matchmaking System, General Usability,

I have met the most perfect and wonderful guy. Since meeting on Zoosk we have dated several times. I never thought I would have met someone like him, ever! Thanks to Zoosk we seem to be a very happy couple :)

A complete rip-off, basically threw 70 bucks into a rat-hole. You can't trust the views section, because every time someone so much as accidentally sees your username, it counts as a "view". So basically, Zoosk is a complete spam. Furthermore, even after you pay the fee to actually send messages, it keeps asking you to "upgrade" for better features. For the starting price that Zoosk has, everything else should be free. Also, the Smart Picks never seem to work, and there's no way to actually contact them unless they like you back.

I purchased a Zoosk subscription. First I thought It was 10 dollars a month. Then I checked my bank account and they took the entire fee out at once, which in my case was fine, but for someone on a tight budget that might not have worked out so well!
Most of the men on there looked like alcoholics and to top it all off I tried to block or report a few of the unwanted members "winks" ect. But they kept coming through. To top it all off. I deactivated my account so I could take a brake, much like facebook. And Zoosk told me on the site my subscription was good until November, so I went back on a week later and the site said once you deactivate your account you lose your subscription as well! So they took my money and didn't render services. So I emailed their customer service and never even got a reply. This company is horrible. Don't do it. Just go to the bar you'll have better luck!
