ZoomInfo Reviews Summary

The company has garnered mixed feedback, with notable strengths in the comprehensiveness and accuracy of its database, which many users find valuable for prospecting and generating sales leads. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, characterized by slow response times, lack of support, and issues with contract transparency, including automatic renewals. Customers frequently report frustrations with outdated or incorrect data, leading to wasted time and resources. Overall, while the platform offers useful tools, the negative experiences related to customer service and data accuracy detract from its reputation, indicating a need for improvement in these areas.

Very user-friendly interface and probably the most accurate contact data on the market. I have been in sales for over 20 years. I find that having access to cell phone numbers and (mostly) accurate email address on ZoomInfo provides better access to buyers/decision makers.

ZoomInfo SalesOS is helping us find contacts in our industry that we can use to prospect. It is much more efficient at scale than LinkedIn or trade magazines. I like how intuitive the interface is, how easy it was to learn and pull lists. The account team has been very helpful in teaching new insights and ways to truly leverage the platform features.

Finding the right number
May 31, 2023

I am trying to reach out to industry experts in certain industry to connect them with institutional investors conducting their primary research before making an initial investment. I can trust that the phone numbers provided by the ZoomInfo platform are accurate. So when I am trying to cold call individuals I am able to reach the correct person without getting a phone number that is inactive.

It's amazing how little you get out of your contract with Zoominfo. Poor upkeep of contacts, a+ rated will still have invalid information. This company has one goal and one goal only, take money from hardowrking companies, to sell and data mine people's information. Zoominfo should be embarrassed at their lack of care and invalid information that's rated at an A+ rating. Pathetic.

I agreed on a call with Zoominfo to test drive their platform, and it was a horrible mistake. They didn't show up at the agreed-upon time and only let me know about the cancellation last minute. Instead, I'm now getting pummeled with emails and calls. I received emails from 3 addresses from them, and I'm now receiving calls from them at unscheduled times several times every single day. I think I'm receiving around 15-20 unsolicited calls per week. How they get away with this is shocking to me. Whoever is running this joke of a company, I hope they get what they deserve.

I have used several other sales intelligence platforms, but ZoomInfo is by far the best. It has definitely increased my sales prospecting quality. ZoomInfo helps me find hard to locate people inside of a company. The listed contact information is very reliable and extremely helpful. Often I find several decent contacts through LinkedIn, But ZoomInfo goes so much deeper.

I got a license to the ZoomInfo SalesOS software a few months ago because my company brought them to help us be more efficient in our sales process. Since I was onboard, Im using it on a daily bases, with endless information about every company we are targeting. It helps me find out with who in the company I should contact and what are the best ways to do that. I spend my time on selling and talking with customers and not searching online and cold calling.

The features and granularity in locking down leads helps to create very strong lists that have accurate data. There is almost never a lack of information, and the organization charts are incredibly valuable in locating the correct person to contact, and to find others to speak with as well.

I enjoy how easy ZI is to use, how seamlessly contacts export and how you can select what information you'd like to include in your export. The data provided for contacts is accurate and abundant. Business and personal emails, phones, cell phones, HQ phone, etc.

As a small business owner, I have a strict policy about writing negative reviews: don't do it. There are so many better and more constructive way to relay you dissatisfaction to business owners when their services don't meet the mark.

When it comes to ZoomInfo, I've decided to break my own rules. My experience with them has been a nightmare. Not only have we gotten ZERO return on investment, but now they're threatening to sue us for terminating our agreement.

They sold us on their "buyer's intent" feature which allows us to plugin certain keywords/phrases that our customers would search for online when looking to buy services we offer. I own a credit card processing company, so we plugged in search terms like "merchant services", "credit card processing", "recurring billing" etc. We found this feature to be absolutely worthless. It almost seems like they were making it up or fabricating the information. When we asked our sales rep HOW the system worked to gather the information, he kind of fumbled all over himself trying to explain it, but ultimately admitted that it's some kind of cookie/spyware they consent to using in their terms of services through other online services.

Our cost was to be $21,200 per year paid in 2 increments of $10,600. After the first 6 months, we realized it was worthless and terminated our agreement. They're now trying to sue us for the remainder, despite the fact that we're no longer using it. I'm more than willing to pay double what I owe them in attorney fees to ensure they never get another dollar from me.

To make matters worse, our salesman told us he'd connect us with the CFO in order for us to give ZoomInfo a proposal to use our credit card processing services to collect fees from their clients. It was all BS. As soon as the ink was dry, he ghosted us and never made good on his promise.

It's a crappy organization with a crappy product and they will try to sue you into compliance if you try to cancel their services.

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION.

However we have never encountered such unprofessional and below the belt behavior from their SMB outbound sales strategy. Unrelenting telemarketing by SDRs that simply won't take no for an answer--like this is some kind of boiler room. We didn't even reach out to them they started cold calling and still get calls. What kind of publicly traded and supposedly reputable SaaS company approaches their sales process this way like some kind of schlockmeisters?

1. The sales person will talk very nice and all fake success stories
2. Second the price is so steep close to 26K annual
3. They say i can add discount, eroupian data for free ( but they didn't add it)
4. THE BIGGEST SCAM, their contract doesn't have termination clause( if you are a person thinks, all shining are gold and defying every business return policy in USA thinking you are smart, i am proven dump by this smart people)
5. Product provided Zero leads, no one responded to our filters setup for cloud migration in 3 months, ZERO ROI
6. When escalating, they all directed to me is their Webinar. They are not wrong on this, they are doing pretty good job
7. The problem is, this is another kind of cold calls, just that you know who you are calling and they calling they have intent to hire ( which i have no way to verify, with our experience, we got ZERO leads)
8. They send my case to collection and fought with my attorneys and finally we close it. So i paid close to 17+5 attorney, with ZERO ROI
Lesson learned, Scammers are there in different shape and form, beware these folks. The last hope i had to get new client, being killed and rained all my last resort ( it is my mistake too, i learned hard lesson and paid very steep price)

In the interest of helping other marketers, I want to share a horrendous experience I had this past week with ZoomInfo.

Prior management signed a 1 year agreement with them. After running a series of list enrichment initiatives, we discovered a startling fact. The emails that were provided through ZoomInfo enrichment resulted in an 8% bounce rate during pre-show email campaign for those contacts that they did append emails to (which only about 1/2 of the list we uploaded).

Another downfall of ZoomInfo is the credits per user function. This was explained by the ZI team to be a super feature, but it has crippled lead nurture. One person can only pull 1000 leads per month, even if other team members have not used their monthly credits. There is no roll-over for unused credits – or a way to shift these over to the person enriching lists.

When we approached ZI with these issues, they said that the enrichment part of their services is dependent upon knowing the company URL. If the company URL is in the data uploaded, then it would do a better job enriching. Wait what? ZI is a data enrichment platform, why would a client need to take the time to add the company URL into thousands of records to get quality enrichment back. Why wouldn't ZI do this? That said, the final straw in our relationship with them, is we had 3 months left in a 1 year commitment. After explaining in depth, multiple times to their reps the issue and that we didn't want to make the final quarterly payment due to the poor data that came back from their platform - they simply refused flat out to let us out of the last quarter of our 1 year term and forced us to pay for a product that we clearly articulated and showed was flawed. We have switched to Seamless for a fraction of the cost with incredible better data enrichment and UI. Proceed with ZI with caution. #experience #management #zoominfo
