This business platform has so many issues that will financially hurt a practice.
First off all their platform does not protect the very people that pay it, the practices and doctors. The platform charges REGARDLESS if a patient turns up or not and does not require a patient to give their info or their dental/medical insurance details to book an appointment. This opens practices and doctors to whole smorgasbord of fraudulent bookings. Nothing stopping Zocdoc sale people from scheduling numerous appointments to upbill and make you think you are getting a response, opening yourself to spam bookings at $110 a pop, don't forget when "Mr Smith" and "Mr Jones" book with limited info and no real proof they exist and off course don't turn up YOU STILL PAY!
The entire system is giving zocdoc complete access to your check book. They will never answer the question so if a patient does not turn up do I still pay?...RESPONSE: Well we send the patients to you it's up to our office to make sure you can see them, what is your most common service? Change conversation...Redirect... Are you kidding! Talk about circumventing the question. This is the dodgiest service since GROUPON and YELP except this one can send bogus non-existent patients to you all day long and bill you $110 a pop when the generated patients obviously do not turn up. The idea is to string you along as long as possible. A slap that I noticed in an other doctors comment was when he was given minimal information about a patient and cannot get hold of this "alleged" patient the doctor is forced basically to cancel the patient. ZOCDOC actual penalized the doctor for cancelling.hmm I wonder why? Would it not be because if you cancel an imaginary patient ZOCDOC cannot nail you for the $70-$110... Think People!
I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH AN ALLERGIST, DR. VAHID RAHIMIAN.
I AM ALREADY SET UP WITH ZOC DOC WITH ALL MY INFORMATION AND INSURANCE. I WENT TO NUMEROUS APPOINTMENTS. I PAID THE $25.00 CO PAY. NOW I JUST RECEIVED MY E. O. B. S FROM CIGNA AND HE IS NOT A PARTICIPATING DOCTOR! I OWE OVER $1600. 00 TO THIS DOCTOR BECAUSE ZOC DOC HAS HIM AS A PARTICIPATING IN NETWORK DOCTOR.
WHEN I CALLED ZOC DOC, ALL THEY COULD SAY WAS SORRY.
IM DONE. ILL CALL DOCTOR`S OFFICE GOING FURTHER
Hi Morgan,
This should definitely have not been your experience using ZocDoc. Our doctors guarantee the information they list on our site is accurate, and we want to get to the bottom of this right away. Could you give us a call at (855) 962-3621? We would be happy to help you resolve this issue.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

I recently moved to Miami and had to establish my network of doctors. Because I trusted positive reviews for ZocDoc and wanted to save time, I used this site to book my visits. However, with many bad doctor visits, I realized that ZocDoc does not pre-qualify doctors. My most recent visit to OBGYN through Zocdoc was the worst of them all. The doctor did not have a nurse, or secretary and had MALPractice in her office. She also broke all medical protocol, prescribed me wrong medecine and didn't notice the most obvious thing I was suffering from that could have killed me. Another internal medecin doctor I went to, was trying to sell cosmetics to me. I'm not even going to talk about how bad dentists were. It took me a while to write this review since I only believe in positive things, but when it came to me almost dying from doctor malpractice, I now feel obligated to let everyone know to be careful. My advise: do doctor referrals when you move from another state and DO NOT BOOK through Zocdoc because they put everyone on there, even people who have fake license.
Hi Anna,
We are so sorry to hear about your poor experience with these offices. Every doctor on ZocDoc is a fully licensed qualified doctor. Please give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you have any concerns!

I recently visited a doctor that had received all 5 ratings but the visit was a nightmare. Needless to say I asked for a return on my copay and never visited the doctor based on the staff, lack of professionalism, cleanliness, and chaotic surroundings. It was by far the most horrible doctor's office I have ever visited in my 42 years. I completed my review on Zoc Doc and I was very tactful in my review and even noted I did not see the doctor (so I gave the doctor's bedside manner a 3 rating). The next morning bright and early I received a call from Zoc Doc letting me know they were removing my review. I asked why? She advised me that they remove reviews that have profanity - I advised her mine did not have that and she agreed. Then she stated they remove it if I discuss pricing - I did none of that and she agreed. So she simply resorted to saying that since I never actually "saw" the doctor they were removing it. I explained I never saw the doctor based on the conditions of the office and I was basically told so sad too bad. I explained that perhaps this had happened with this doctor before and that if they remove the negative reviews consumers will not know. I was told that was their policy and the end of the story. Zoc Doc is so convenient but I refuse to ever use it again. For those who do use it out of convenience (and it is convenient!), don't count on the reviews. I wondered why everyone had 5 ratings! Now I know. Beware!
For shame. Zocdoc has become absolutely horrific. Especially during the time of Covid this is inexcusable. Yesterday, as instructed by Mt. Sinai hospital we were sent to ZOCDOC on line for covid shots. My husband made two appointments for his covid shots. This site was where Mt. Sinai in New York directed him to The first one was to be January 20th and the second one was to be February 17th. The phone number listed to Mt. Sinai on Zocdoc to call about details was out of service. The emails from zocdoc concerning these appointments were listed as pending all day.The information in the app listed the appointments as confirmed. Mt. Sinai had no record of any appointments for him when we called the general number. They were not in his chart. When I called ZocDoc they said not to worry that they would be listed later. Later that evening we got an email that the first appointment was cancelled. It said to call the nonworking Mt. Sinai number. That was email from ZocDoc. You can not have only one appointment. You need two shots 28 days apart. This is highly irresponsible. Now he has no appointment. He is high risk.
Hi Alicia, we are sorry the trouble with this. We are experiencing increased volumes as we continue to help patients book their appointment with Mount Sinai. We are working to get all appointments successfully booked through our platform. If you are able to book your first appointment through Zocdoc, you will be able to book dose 2 at this time. If you need help with the first appointment feel free to reach us at (855) 962-3621. We appreciate your patience as we work through getting patients the care they need.
Found a rheumatologist easily. Also found a primary physician as well. I wouldn't have found any doctor's without this site as I am new to the area and know no one.
Why wouldn't you let me log in under my original user name? You stated that MY user name was already being used. Well, yes, I was the one using it, dah.
My user name has always been *******@msn.com
Hi Anita,
We are so sorry you are having trouble logging in! Please give us a call at (855) 962-3621 and we would be happy to help you out.

I asked ZocDoc to give the a family Doctor name that was in the network of Humana PPO for Baytown, TX. And they sent me to Houston, TX not Baytown. I also asked for one close to us in Crosby, TX still sent me to Houston, TX. I had to find a Doctor myself.
Don't like that "voice" of ZocDoc says "Shi-vah'-no" instead of the correct pronunciation of "Shah'vuh-no". Thought she was giving a doctor's name instead of the area in which the office is located.
I have been reaching out NUMEROUS times... left 3-4 VM's over a 2 month time span. My pap came back abnormal and I have NOT been able to connect with anyone for a followup appointment.
Hi Miranda,
We are so sorry you have had trouble getting in touch with your doctor's office. Give us here at ZocDoc a call at (855) 962-3621 if there is anything we can do to help.

Every time I visit my PCP he or she spends a lot of time with me and they are not in a hurry like some doctors. I am able to go online and do appointment to see my PCP in a timely manner.
A lot of the docotrs cancel appoitments
A lot of them dont actually accept the insurance you say you have
A lot of them are not high quality doctors and rush you in and out

Had a short visit with my primary care physician; the last before my insurance ran out. I appreciated his concern and advise for moving forward.
My experience has been terrific with ZocDoc. It is easy to schedule an appointment and excellent to receive the reminders. Absolutely a great site!
They deleted my one negative review. Most doctors have perfect glowing reviews upon a glance. I don't trust them as a reliable source of information.
Hi there,
We are terribly sorry for your poor experience. We definitely want to make sure your voice is heard! Please give us a call at (855) 962-3621 so that we can get to the bottom of this, and make sure your review is posted to the site.

Providers stay away from ZOCDOC, gave a star only because there is no other option less than that, they are just money greed company trying extremely hard to profit off your hard work…..
Zodiac makes it very easy to schedule and keep track of medical appointments. Also, due to patient reviews, I have discovered 3 excellent doctors.
Answer: Hello Mark. Zocdoc offers a closed-loop review system that allows patients to share their experiences after being seen for an appointment booked on Zocdoc. These reviews can be found on each individual provider's Zocdoc profile. You can search for a provider at https://www.zocdoc.com/. Please let us know if we can help you find the care that you need or if there is a different set of reviews that you are trying to access at this time. You can reach our service team at (855)962-3621.
Answer: Hi Sandra, we hope that you were able to get the care that you were looking for. At Zocdoc, we are not able to offer any medical advice or guidance so we recommend you contact your doctor directly if you need to ever verify they will be able to provide the treatment you are looking for. Feel free to reach out to the Zocdoc team at (855) 962-3621 or service@zocdoc.com if there is anything we can do to help you find the care that you need.
Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
Answer: Hello Swetha. Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help you find a doctor and book an appointment right online. If you go to www.Zocdoc.com, you can search for doctors by specialty, location, and insurance. You'll be able to see a list of doctors and their availability. Once you select a doctor, you can choose the time that is best for you. Once you complete the booking process, the doctor will receive your appointment information and confirm your appointment via email. This is completely free for you as a patient. Please give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you need help with this or anything else!
Answer: Hi Amanda! That depends on the doctor's office! Every provider is different, so it would be best to get in touch with them about specific pricing information. Give us a call at 855-962-3621 if you have any other questions. In health, Mary M. Zocdoc Service Team
Answer: Hi Mallory! Thanks for your question! You can see a provider's reviews by viewing the full profile and scrolling down. All of the reviews will be listed there toward the left side of the page. Give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you are having any trouble! In health, Mary M. Zocdoc Service Team
Zocdoc has a rating of 2.6 stars from 1,425 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Zocdoc most frequently mention doctors office, insurance company and new patient. Zocdoc ranks 1st among Doctor Reviews sites.
Thanks for your feedback. Zocdoc charges on a per booking basis and not for each successful appointment, which is why you would see a charge for cancellations or no shows. We are a marketing platform where you pay when patients find you through our service and book with you. We expect that there will be no-shows and cancellations, and chose our pricing based on that expectation. All patients that use Zocdoc to find care must verify their phone number and provide their email to ensure the provider has their best contact information. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
