I just got my Zinger and I have to say that it has met all my expectations and much more. It has really opened up a new world for me. I love the freedom it gives me especially when I am dealing with a great deal of pain! I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a reliable very well thought out, and built fun mobility vehicle.
Have COPD, out of breath fast.
Large stores beyond my short range.
The Zinger has changed my life.
It not only enables mobility, it's really fun to drive.
I live on social security and the price was a stretch, but worth it!
Very pleased
To disconnect annoying reverse beeb take out screws, open control handle and disconnect the white wire coming from chip with square speaker attached. It can be reattached if wanted. Beep button still works manually.
Just found out there is a "Zoomer" chair that uses a joy stick instead of double handles. I wish I had known about this chair earlier. Double handles does a workout on your hands and arms. Could be a positive or a negative.
Tried the Zinger out and went to our open dog park near Fern Ridge Lake (Eugene, OR). There is an asphalt road to & through the park which worked great. I tried it in high and my partner & our two dogs could hardly keep up. Driving through the grass area full of bumps worked on medium & I guess I won't need to get my highs from roller coasters anymore. I did get stuck on rocks & limbs and reverse was not quite powerful enough to back me out. My partner assisted. I do not like the beeping noise while in reverse. Can it be turned off? Also the on/off button had a loose rubber tab inside, but was easy to fix. Would have liked the logo tag to be in green & black to match my Zinger, but I colored it in with magic markers.
I JUST CALLED THE SO CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER.
ABSOLUTELY THE RUDEST PERSON I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED.
NOT FDA APPROVED?
NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE?
WHAT IS IT?
SOUNDS LIKE A TOTAL SCAM
I just received the Zinger today but I am going to return it. I find it very complicated to manoeuvre around the house. Diana.
Loved the chair, but it didn't work for me. It was too hard to read The hand control buttons, the are low on the side (I have neck issues). So I sent it back to the tune of $122 in shipping. So make sure you really want it or the shipping fees will be very expensive which they don't tell you when ordering. They probably won't post this to their site because it seems they only post the positive only comments.
What a difference my Zinger has made for me. It has allowed me to continue to be active as much as possible. I'm 80 years old and can still go with my family. Thanks Zinger!
Nice and light.
Power controls in difficult location. Must turn head and look down to confirm reading and setting. Also, engaging the braking system needs to be reevaluated so as not to cause a person to bend over to engage.
Maid my maiden outing on my Zinger at the Kansas City Irish Fest. Love it, I can go anywhere, turns on a dime, easy up ramps. Covered a lot of city blocks in it. Could have sold a couple of them, it got a lot of interest. Made sure everyone who ask had the website.
It is a wonderful mobility device. The only thing I don't like is the foot rest. I am 6'2" and it is difficult to bend my knees back to get my feet on the foot rest. Please come up with a solution as soon as possible.
Needs at least 2 people to lift it into a car. Not so small either. I own a Hyundai Santa Fe, a small SUV, and it is a tight fit. Not much room for anything else once the Zinger is loaded. The review of the owner of a Mini, must have a pretty big Mini if he can load it with room left over. Not happy at all. Would return it if I had the strength to box it back up.
I was really impressed when I received the Zinger Chair. It came already assembled and it was so easy to unpack and start using right away. I love the fact that it has a backup alarm, and I also appreciate how easy the brakes are to set once you park and need to stand up. The brakes are out of the way but easy to reach. It really has a lot of power in high speed so you can get though grass pretty easy. I would recommend this chair to anyone who is looking for a durable, well-made, light-weight and easy to use power chair.
What impresses me the most about the Zinger is the durability of the chair's motor and battery; I use the chair every day on a 1.5 mile course that i use to walk my dog, or should say run my dog now. The chair has sufficient speed that my dog has to trot to keep up with me. There are several significant incline grades and the chair climbs them without a problem. It is truly a remarkable example of extraordinary engineering both the construction and the motor. Steering the chair is a snap; it can turn on a dime. Lastly, the chair almost folds itself, just pull the locking strap and pull... it's done.
Only problem with the Zinger is you have to use both hands to guide it. Also, I tried to buy a cup holder for it but nothing fits. Had to get a side pouch to put inside the scooter for extra items I want to carry and a pouch on the back of the chair attached by s hooks. I would rather have had easier controls on top of the arm to maneuver it around. It was not easy for me to get used to. It is also heavier than we thought it would be. My husband had hernia surgery last year and has a hard time lifting it into the car. I can't lift it at all due to back issues. He would rather use my Pride scooter and lift so he doesn't have to lift it. Am disappointed in the chair although I will use it for traveling by air. I understand you have to remove the battery, put tape over it and carry it onto the plane before boarding. We will have to request extra time to take care of this before they load the Zinger in the baggage section.
No mobility service company will work on the Zinger. Zinger has no one to service them either. A lot of money to spend and not be able to have it serviced!
We received the Zinger Chair. It was packed very well even though there was what appeared to be a forklift jab in the box, the chair was unaffected. We charged the battery prior to turning it on! Once charged, the chair performed well for the first 35 minutes, while my wife practiced using the chair in the driveway on low speed. The chair began slowing down in low speed after that. I tried the chair on low speed and it was very sluggish, when I switched to medium speed the chair responded very well. We played around with the chair for about an hour and a half. Finally, I checked the tire pressure in the rear wheels and it was only 20 lbs. Half the advertised ideal pressure. I pumped up the tires and put it on the charger... we haven't been on it since... the weather hasn't been cooperating!
I have been going to Rennisanse Faires for over 35 years, mostly on grass and dirt. When the AR & OR took my walking away from me I thought I would have to give up going, Wheelchairs are not usable, electric scooters are not made for grass and dirt, let alone mud. The Zingerchair however lets me do all the Faires. We have used it on grass, it doesn't do well on wet grass thought. It got thru mud that didn't have standing water. Rolled over gravel just fine. I have taken it to museums, casinos, concerts, country fairs. I even got to play chase with my grandkids. I will be taking it when my kids, grandkids and I go on our yearly family vacation in December, Looking forward to that! Now I just need to get the cup holder and see if I can order a spare battery. Thank you so much for giving me back my freedom
It works! This was the best choice I've made. I would recommend it to anyone who has a hard time walking. My friend can get it in and out of the car with little effort.
We went to a 3 day convention at a huge arena. Put this chair on high gear and it did 10 flights of ramps to the 5th level like it was nothing! I'm a big girl but it kept up! Love my chair!
The Zinger is just what I was looking for. It's very portable, easy to operate, goes plenty far and fast! Great purchase that will solve problems for me.
Answer: This is a legit company. They have very good customer service. I received the Zinger Chair earlier than promised.
Answer: Replacement parts took months for me to get an extra battery and rear wheels need to be replaced every 6 months
Answer: Always on back order takes months to receive your product
Answer: Definitely no, the chair is too heavy to lift despite the companies claim
Answer: It does have a lever, but it's kinda inconveniently located under the chair. You have to kind of force your hand through to set the break
