I purchased my Zager ZAD900CE nearly two years ago. I was a child on Christmas morning when it arrived (albeit a slightly older child). This was as rich a sounding guitar as I have ever found. I dug right into Mr. Zager's lessons library (which deserve high praise in their own right) and started making what sounded like a song. I followed Mr. Zager's tutelage and lo... it became music! Over the past two years, my ZAD900CE has only gotten better with age... one day I hope to do as well. Mr. Zager has always been a bit of a national treasure in American music and particularly in the field of guitar design. I could not be more please and proud to actually have an instrument that he actually designed, played and signed! It's an heirloom piece to be sure.

Returned to the guitar 5 years ago with a Taylor GS Mini. It was ok till a friend showed me his ZAD80. Tried it, had to have one. The fret board gave me room to play notes without touching other strings. But the sound! Rich and mellow! I guess its because of the beautiful woods used in the making of this guitar. Everything is top-notch, fit and finish. Proud to say, this is my last acoustic guitar. I want to pass it on to my grand daughter, I believe it will stand the test of time. Dennis Jr is quick to respond to questions, very helpful.

A father came home with a five dollar pawn shop guitar. An old Stella Ivory. With an unset truss rod and a rough edged and swayback fretboard, it was not easy to play, and the worn tuning pegs didnt hold for more than a few minutes of playing. His thrilled eleven-year-old picked it up and smiled while strumming open string dissonance.

He learned melodies from tunes on the radio. His fingers got sore on the way to getting calluses. Dad got him a chord book. The boy figured out which ones fit with the songs he liked.

He outgrew old Stella, put her in her cardboard case and put her away to catch dust in the back of the storage closet. The happy boy became a fortunate man who enjoyed family, friends and making music with them. He was also fortunate to have played many excellent guitars and owned a few fine ones.

The man had heard about Zagers for a long time before he played his friend's Zager. He wanted it. His friend told him to get his own. He did. He loves making music more than ever. He found that his Zager 80 Aura gave him the opportunity to have four very different sounding guitars in one, an enjoyably easy guitar to play which he named Zelda.

He laughed as he thought about the difference between fighting old Stella and loving Zelda. He decided to dig out Stella and introduce her to his new friend. Stella was happy to meet Zelda, but she was much happier to be the favorite toy of his one year old grandson to whom he promised his Zager when the baby could hold it.

How do I know all of this?
I have the eleven year old owner of old Stella inside of me.

I am so glad that I finally bought a Zager Guitar. The entire purchase process, delivery and post purchase customer service were as incredible as the guitar. I don't always buy a guitar, but when I do, it's a Zager!:-)

Purchased my guitar from Zager, a 900ce om. I got the smaller orchestra model because of shoulder problems and it's working out very well. Not only that, but this is such a nice instrument I'm not sure I deserve it. Sounds great, nice and sweet but still the individual notes cut through just fine. Intonation is perfect, not a buzz all the way up the neck, and speaking of the neck it just fits. Really like the width of strings too, makes playing very easy. The "pick holder" is a cool idea too, you always know where it is, once you get used to using the hole for the string post. Woods and craftsmanship is stunning, Denny is a first rate luthier, we are lucky to have such an artist that has committed his time and hard work to produce these pieces of art. I love mine right down to the artists signature on the back.
I should mention the fishman aura system too, it is real nice to use, no problems with feedback so far and the preset "images" are very nice. Haven't had a chance to use a computer to try the website yet, but if it works as well as the unit on my guitar, I'm sure it'll be fine.

I bought my zager guitar zad50ce. And let me tell you. It is the best most easy playing nice sounding and beautiful guitar I have had. So far. I have a seagull s6. Which I love and I am very grateful at. But. This zad50ce. It is much better sounding guitar easier to play. Perfect intonation all over the fretboard. Everything sound much nicer with my zad50ce. In reality this pair ti guitar twice the price. Which I do not own. But I have played

I am only a beginner guitarist, having played for a year now. I now own four guitars, and my most recent before this current purchase of a Zager 900CEOM is a 1993 Special Edition Martin D28. I love this Martin but it has no electronics (I play a little in public) and it's size is too large for my occasionally painful shoulder (ie reaching around the body). Further, I am struggling mightily with bar chords and losing the battle. So when I saw the ads for this guitar, with its money back guarantee, I ordered the smaller (Orchestra Model) size in the hopes of reducing pain, getting a plug in system and most importantly, getting better at my playing, especially those bar chords. I will most certainly not return it! I doubt I will purchase another guitar in my lifetime. It is stunning to look at and hold and it makes me happy just seeing it's beauty and workmanship. It is truly so much easier on my fingers, and my bar chords are doing much better thanks to this. (Sadly, it didn't work a miracle, though!) The Aura Fishman is so beyond what I need I cannot comprehend it all yet, but I am loving the tuner. The only disappointing thing about this purchase is my fault- I didn't compare the size of the body of the OM with the larger size, and to my sadness they are the same in the lower part of the guitar, which is what causes the problem with my shoulder. That pain is a bit lessened on this guitar but not absent like it is on my Yamaha Parlor guitar. Customer service during the ordering/receiving process was outstanding. In sum, I am thrilled with this guitar and this company.

I have to admit I was skeptical when I ordered the ZAD80CE. I already own an Alvarez and a Gibson J-15 acoustic electric. Over the years, I have owned Takamine, Seagull, Martin and Taylor, among others. There are many excellent guitars out there. The Gibson J-15 is easy to play and has excellent tone. It has been my favorite out of all the guitars i have owned. Having set the groundwork, let me tell you about the ZAD80CE. It is even easier to play than the J-15, especially as you move down the neck making chords. Frankly, I didn't think that was possible. You may ask what is sacrificed in tone and sound to accomplish this? I would have to say nothing. The J-15 has excellent tone and is a joy to play. But, I actually believe the tone is better balanced across all 6 strings on the ZAD80. You, also, have to remember my J-15 is 3 years old. The ZAD80CE is brand new. It will only get better with age. I am in no way bad mouthing the J-15. It is an excellent guitar. I feel the ZAD80CE is better. Oh, the electronics on both are excellent, but once again I give the edge to the ZAD80CE. I think there is so much emphasis on the "Easy Play" feature on these guitars, with good reason, that excellent materials, craftsmanship and tone is overlooked or assumed to be lacking. They shouldn't be. They will more than hold there own against anybody and beat most. They happen to be a first class guitar that plays easy.

I received my guitar yesterday, and cant tell you how much I love it! Both the look and sound is beautiful. I really didnt know what to expect about the claim of being EZ Play, but playing is believing! (Parlor -electric)

Im totally a beginner at playing rhythm guitar and have been frustrated learning barre chords with my old guitar. I picked this up the first time and was able to play the f chord out of the box! It is amazing.

If you are a beginner. Zager will help you improve your playing quicker and make you want to play more!

Customer service is as good as the guitar! I asked a question on Sunday night at 6 Pm and had an answer in a few minutes!

I just received my new Zager guitar today and I can honestly say I am very impressed to say the least. I have been looking at buying a new "higher end" guitar and have looked at all of the major brands to include Taylor's and Martins. Most of these guitars are priced from $3-7000. I can say that I'm glad I took a chance and ordered my Zager. First impressions with this guitar straight out of the box is that the fit and finish of this guitar is a 10 out of 10. I have look very closely at every square inch of this guitar and cannot find one single flaw in the craftsmanship and finish of this guitar. I stuck my tuner on the headstock and every string was still perfectly in tune straight out of the case. I was kind of scared of how the neck would feel due to the wider string spacing because I don't have long fingers or a lot of reach but it feels absolutely great. The fingering of cords and the feel of the neck in my hand is fantastic. Some of the cords that would sometimes buzz on other guitars no longer buzz. The finger pressure on this guitar to form cords is way less than other guitars I've played. I play mostly in the country and bluegrass style of playing and I wondered if this guitar would have the tone and depth that you need in a bluegrass guitar. The sound coming from this guitar in both the top and bottom end is spot on. There are not many guitars that you can feel in your stomach when you play but the power from this guitar vibrates into your stomach and chest when playing. I can't believe that all of this craftsmanship, tone and playability in a guitar can come at less than half the price of all of the other higher end guitars that I have considered. Anyone who is on the fence about buying one these Zager guitars all I can say is definitely buy it. You will not be disappointed. The customer service is second to none. Every question that I emailed to Dennis Jr. Was answered within 30 minutes, even on a Saturday. I am so glad I made this decision and didn't spend thousands more for what could have been less guitar than my Zager ZAD900. Thanks Dennis Sr. And Dennis Jr. For such an amazing guitar.

Just received my ZAD20 today and Love it, Been playing for 55+ years and have owned several medium to high end Gibsons, Ovations, Epiphones, and several lower end guitars, This ZAD20 has a wonderful sound, and the playability is outstanding. Very nice action, chording is so much lighter and clearer than even with the Gibson Hummingbird ("74), Denny thanks for the quality that you have built in this ZAD20... John Hughes, Macon, Georgia

I love the gloss finish, Fishman pickups, and easy playing neck and fretboard. The tone is rosh and vibrant and the projection beats all other guitars in my collection. I can't wait to write new music every week for Danny Hauger podcasts with this wonderful depth of tone and brilliance at My side to write and record with. Find my YouTube review as well! Got my "Zager" today and IHAVE to say that I am OVERWHELMINGLY Pleased with this GORGEOUS Intrument! Just Gorgeous! And Plays like "BUTTER"! Just keys Sooooooooooo easily, it TRULY is an "Easy Playing" Guitar!
OH and the case, with a built in Hygrometer is AWESOME! Im just SO happy Im ready to Jump outa my Skin!
This Guitar can stand up to a "Martin" ANY Day of the week, and I just got the Cheaper one! I cant even IMAGINE what Mr Zagers more expensive models Play & Sound like! I can only Dream!
Hands DOWN, the Nicest Guitar I have EVER played and I am 63 Yrs Old and needed a guitar that keys easily, and I am ECSTATIC (can ya tell, lol) with this Guitar~! I would reccommend a Zager Guitar to ANYONE & EVERYONE! I cant say enough about it!
