On May 28th 2021 i had a considerable breach of security on my at home business computer and my not wanting this to continue i made some changes. I purchased a new computer on june 9th, i purchased everything from Norton (lifelock) upgraded McAfee before starting to install dozens of business and private apps to my new computer and yesterday morning, Thursday June 24 i purchased this " Slimware driver update app" which adding another layer of security appeals to me after May 28. I gave remote access to the tech and doing so made me uncomfortable because once he had access and installed the driver software he wanted to go further and said he could put me on a plan at a great rate and even though i said "NO" politely half a dozen times i eventually just pushed the red X to shut his access down. 12 hours after their product was installed my home network kept kicking out my new computer and this happened 3 times throughout the day and when i shutdown my computer for the night it displayed a error i had not seen "A BREAKING POINT ERROR" and this morning i explained what was happening and that i would like to remove their product from my computer and to provide a refund at which they responded with " for some reason we can not process a refund at this time " and to remove their product i would need to provide them the access that i was unwilling to provide them 23 hours earlier and after the security that is on my computer is no longer operating... SAVE YOUR SELF DO NOT PURCHASE THIS FROM THEM
If I have had slim war driver update for a few months I decided to cancel it and now my laptop does not work it is obvious they've done something to my computer I'm going to seek an attorney to file a lawsuit against this company. As you can see a lot of things are closed so I cannot under what to do. These people should be closed permanently. They are criminal.

I bought the SlimWare package for $19.95 because the ad said it could find/replace my android phone contacts, texts, photos, etc. after an accidently restore to factory specs when the sequence of buttons were hit while removing it from a hard case. After 70 minutes of a slow talking rep about updating 6 drivers on a 5 month old desktop, He explained I had to pay another $49.95 to have the tech department restore my phone. Then the drivers fix does not work, see pic.
Slimware is just another scam outfit to get you to pay for more services. I later found ways to do it for free, but will take sometime to get all the apps back in place (and to remember them all). Their ad implied I would have my phone back the way i had is set.
The tech's restored my laptop and drivers very quickly to a very good condition I would definitely refer them to my friend's! They were very professional thank you guys
I had started out having a small issue with blue screen errors in which I would shut down the computer and restart, then it would run fine for the rest of the day. So, I had a few spare hours and wanted to resolve this issue and give it a tune up so I purchased the online tech support through Slimware and the rep that I spoke to said they would have my computer up and running with no issues in a few hours. Well, after 5 techs that are from another country and close to 2 days! The issue was never resolved and the blue screen errors got even worse, my screen became pixelated, and my computer would barely boot up.
By the end of it all, I had to go out and buy a new computer and spend more money and time transferring files to an external hard drive to try and save what info that I could.
Called Slimeware on 3/20/21 to request a refund and the rep said they couldn't because they have a 48 hour cancellation policy.
If I could give them a zero star rating I would!
The support over the phone was rude and spoke so fast couldn't understand her she was hateful called me stupid and was treating me like I was dum she was just pure hateful no help at all
Pop up suggested we needed driver update £16, then £20 a month to resolve. Turns out I didn't need either. Don't use
I accidentally downloaded Slimware/DriverUpdate. I cannot remember exactly what I was searching for and found it. However, SOMEHOW, Slimware "snuck in" and when I hit the download button it was Slimware that I downloaded and not the software that I had researched. This is an awful way to do business. Even more disgusting is how it penetrates your computer and good luck trying to remove it. I uninstalled the program but this did not work. I have researched on how to remove this software and found some suggestions. Today is the second time that I have had to do a clean up of my registry to get rid of this software. I thought I had caught it all last week but lo and behold got another pop up today from DriverUpdate telling me that an error occurred while updating drivers on my desktop computer. Last week I performed a registry clean of anything with "slimware" today I did the same for anything with DriverUpdate. Not 100% sure that this will get rid of this garbage!
Please God Jason asked to give access to my laptop I give him access And My laptop has some important information I am scared and my laptop still not working with driver
Since it's on my PC, my PC is 3times slower, changed my monitor settings what I can't reverse and costs me only trouble.
Wish I get my money back and the settings as it was.
Don't know how to deal with this horror of a completely messed up PC.
I needed to update. Bought service. Then was told I had to buy additional service for $50.00. I don't understand why but I do not recommend to individuals not savy on computers
I contracted with Slimware to find a lost program. Their technicians spent two days on this problem and then gave up. I have asked for a refund several times and have had no success to date. This has been going on for over a month.
I would advise anyone contemplating using this company to be very aware of what they are peddling. Sounds good, but it isn't.
I had 7 out of date drivers I paid a tad over £20 including vat and a Guy sent me a link I was now remotely controlled by somebody else who cut and pasted a code into my license to save me doing it but then he found a couple of faults that he could clear but I would have to sign up for a plan which was £45 plus 20 a month which I said no he was quite pushy and dropped the 20 a month and just wanted 45 but I said thanks goodbye and cut the connection I have run the programme and installed 6 drivers but one said it would not install yet it has scrubbed my sound driver off and when I go to the restore point I just get a blue screen and the words initialising please wait so I will have to go to my computers website to get my driver back, Now I said no I wonder how many end up saying yes because he was quite a salesman
This is absolutely a scam, don't even go here... unless, of course, you have excess $ you want to throw away and some weird need to be taken advantage of!
Jackson was the person I had help me install Slimware drivers. He asked to let him do this remotely. He said my computer NEEDED the premium service $49.97 on top of the 19.97 I paid. When I told him NO I'm on a fixed income he badgered me over and over, I said NO! He was clearly very angry and cut me off. I cancelled the next day. I believe this could be a scam. I'm calling the BBB and several other resources to report this. I better get my refund back in 7-10 days.
I wish I would have done my "normal" researching before I gave them $20 to do absolutely nothing to fix my out of date drivers. The agents are nice until they want you to purchase a more expensive package. I emailed them demanding my money back or else they were going to be getting a bad review from me, but after reading the reviews, I doubt I will be receiving it back. Glad, I did not purchase anything else from this company.
I had been using Slimware for some time. When I installed McAfee on my computer it identifies Slimware as a potential malicious virus.
After I removed it from my computer and used McAfee exclusively, my computer began to run very slow. I finally called Slimware and the technician and I reinstalled the software and I immediately say an improvement in my speed.
The tech tried to upsell me to subscribe to their technical support which I may consider if I can confirm that the company is legitimate. I've seen all sorts of Internet comments warning against using Slimware. I however, have not experienced any issues with them.
I would love to hear if anyone else has experience with them, or can confirm their legitimacy.
Gabi from customer service was able to help me with all questions I have. Very helpful and understanding. These people know their stuff. I recommend their packages to everyone who needs these utilities
