The main weather forecast page was getting better... Then you changed the 10 day to a tab not just below the forecast? Put it back the way it was including the very classy expanded day forecast graph (left click) integrated within the 10 day graph!
I used to check the site daily, but now rarely. They took a very good site, I used it for over 10 years, and ruined it. New and updated is not always better. And when I do go to it, it is so slow I go somewhere else.
Please bring back intellicast. I live in South Carolina with family in Delaware, New York and Maryland. I try and track their weather. This new format prevents me from doing that. Please bring back intellicast.
I am always appalled at your attempts to improve your site which ALWAYS go awry.
Now the temp of the home location i choose only shows up about 30% of the time.
You HAD a great site... but your constant tinkering has aggravated your viewers to the point that we are going elsewhere... STOP ruining your site and go BACK to what was working perfectly
I am thankful for the site located at our local fire department. It affords real time information for my neighborhood and immediate area surrounding it. If I look at NOAA, it tells me what is going on miles away. That is fine ... if I am going miles away.
Used to be the best weather site on the net, I remember back in 07, 08, 09 with all the information and the maps the live radar. Nowadays it is impossible to use it sadly had to serach for another alternative.
I guess when you can't beat them, then buy them. WU was the best weather site available until TWC bought them and started destroying a great app. Thanks for nothing TWC... get your data from the gov't for free, build a GUI and then sell ads.
Today I was redirected from Intellicast to WU. I have over years showed and taught many people how wonderful Intellicast is and how useful and easy it is. Well Weather Underground you messed up a great site. I may be upsetting a few that think there WU doesnt stink but you will find out very soon. I go to Intellicast and the page opens right on the US radar. One more click and i am looking at my local radar up close. I can click a drop and see sites i often check as well. One click and i am looking at wind and another for jet stream US. One click I go direct to my local 10 day forcast with a screen also showing current days. One click on any day and i see the hourly details on any of the 10 days. One click and i can see many very close weather stations reporting on map. All this ease is gone or none existent.
Used to check wunderground a lot of times every day, I thought it was the best weather website. With the redesign, it has become so bad that I am not even bothering anymore. As everyone else has summarised before me, the new website is awful and the information that used to be gathered in a single webpage (the feature that made this site special in the past) has been split into many awful looking and slow-to-load tabs -I suppose for the developers to increase their revenue from ads. No more a fan of the website. I am sure the developers will regret every moment of taking the decision to fool users in order to increase their income. Enjoy your limited traffic, I am sure a lot more ex-faithful users will stop using your website.
I had been a supporting member of Weather Underground since the beginning. But over the last several years they have become more and more difficult to use. The apps became a joke and the website is a a disaster. The failure of the FTP weather cam site and the frequent dropping of my weather data have become the final straw. I have deleted my account and disconnected my data stream.
Twice now I have setup accounts and tried to link my PWS. At one time it worked well for several months. Now my Weather Underground web page for my PWS just continues to say the station is not reporting. Don't expect to get any help from their support staff if one even exists. My station works fine for my Acurite PWS webpage.
I'm a professional pilot who used Intellciast EVERY DAY! But this JOKE of a system is useless! Today, at 5:45 AM I opened up the site hoping to see radar summary and cell tops information! I was greeted by 6:15 PM the previous night information!
No one can depend on this for aviation!
This is a huge loss for general aviation!
Weather Underground has gone underground. The web interface on my web browser and my iPad are truly unusable. WU used to be the UNEQUIVOCAL best weather site/app available, but now it is truly awful. Emails to their "support" go unanswered and apparently they are unresponsive. For whatever reason, they think I give a $#*! about the weather in New York City, London, Melbourne and other international cities that I never get to, instead of allowing me to KEEP my favorites right there at the top of the screen. The iPad app went from having all the relevant info on the screen to the requirement of scrolling down to get essential information. Really disappointing. I am now on a quest to identify a replacement because Weather Underground is unusable for me.
Used to be the Go To website for tropical storm/hurricane tracking & modeling. Now all I get is frustration when I visit this site. Used to be able to see all the models - now (2018) half the storms have no models & no discussion. Used to love reading Dr Jeff Masters updated, no more - now it's computer generated. Used to be an interesting attached blog where wanna be weather forecasters could comment. Gone.
Very sad.
The website used to be awesome and now it is terrible! Bring back the 10-day forecast on the main page and make sure it loads properly. It used to be wonderful and now it just spins and spins and never loads.
I've been using Wunderground since they came out. Yes, many, many, many years ago. Once they were acquired by IBM, everything started going south. Most of the functionality and links on the website are broken. No one will ever return your e-mails, even though I've e-mailed with detailed issues on numerous occasions. I have a PWS as well as the new Air Quality monitoring and the support across the board for all of these products is absolute crap. Really, really sad, I loved WU for SOOOO long.
This once=best weather website has become one of the worst. Slow to load. Local stations no longer showing up on maps. Data unreliable. Only providing temp info from an international airport far away and in another climate zone. Sad!
Ever since The Weather Channel purchased Weather Underground they have done nothing but ruin it. Their email and website forcasts dont even match. Ive complained several times but their support staff suck too, yes YOU William at *******@wunderground.com. This site has gone from wunder-full to wunder-if.
Suddenly this site switched to Fahrenheit. Why is that? I'm in Europe and this temperature scale is not popular here. Switching to Celsius is not possible for some things - you see the main temperature in Celsius, but if you want to see nearby stations - it is only in Fahrenheit. On my phone this site become a really slow and painflul thing to watch - it crawls like a snail.
Was headed down the tube before 2020 but has now entered the realm of Malware. Locks-up/freezes with almost every click. Won't do anything at all if you don't let all of the adds finish loading and cluttering the screen. Just as something finishes loading and you move to "x-out" an add or useless, oversized tool bar, the "x" jumps to the side and another useless adware/malware button is now right we're you just tapped the screen. When does design and intent go from trying to make money to out-right deception and criminality? I think we have our answer.
I had religiously used wunderground since ~2004. I just exorcised all links and bookmarks on all my devices. Good riddance.
Answer: This was deliberate calculated sabotage for some reason
Answer: It won't come back. IBM bought The Weather Company to get at the data so they could package and sell that to their corporate customers using their "Watson" cloud services. Individuals mean nothing. That they've managed to so thoroughly destroy what was once the premiere weather site says a lot about the incompetence behind their core "Watson" products. You might want to tell IBM that.
Answer: They hired a bunch of idiots to manage and design their new site. This included removing features and gutting the radar.
Answer: Yes. We have many employees who come to work each day desperate to appear productive and relevant. We ask them to destroy functional lean websites with bloated nonsense. Meanwhile, our executives require more money so we like to devastate communicative websites with ad-infested infestations of pus-riddled idiocy. Thanks for asking!
Answer: Pointless giving feedback/complaints. I tried this and got an automated reply telling me how much better it was!
Answer: Your local Tv station meteorologist.
