There are so many problem with this site... there is no one to help. It seems abandoned. I delete favorite cities, but they are all back with the next click. The radar doesn't work. Nothing works. It's slow. It doesn't work
It doesn't work! What a piece of crap.
I've used Weather Underground for years on a daily basis. I've always depended on it for up to the minute local weather for my construction business. Now, after this latest update, it's become useless to me. Why change a good thing? Please bring it back!
I've used wunderground as a golf course superintendent for years strictly because of the precipitation accumulation forecast that was underneath every day... now that is totally gone and it's a game changer... totally ruined the app
Wundermap ads leave less than half the screen to the map, the rest being taken up by huge ads. Then, to see the radar, I have to switch to future and then past for the radar image to show. Plus, the save preferences option doesn't work.
There are more problems and if they were solved, it would be usable but until then, I'll pine for the old intellicast.
Every single time I go to the site, something else is either broken or dial up slow or non existent. Now even though I have a webcam key, webcam view is a constant rotating rainbow, 4 different browsers. Underground is right. As in buried...
For many years, I enjoyed using Intellicast. What a sad day it was when Weather Underground replaced it with their mediocre format and displays and their slowww response time. Stupid decision - why replace something very good with something clearly worse?
This used to be my go-to app for weather but I am deleting it from my phone. The new version is difficult to navigate and no longer shows precipitation totals on the daily forecast. For the rest of you who also now hate this app, try using the browser on your phone (Chrome, Safari, etc.) and using the full Wunderground website. You will probably want to use a computer to access the site and set the Customize options.
I even send my weather station data to Wunderground but I'll turn it off due to their change to the site.
It is irritatingly slow to load and all nice and useful interface is gone.
They have built a crappy irritating interface needing many more "click and wait" than the previous one.
My data will no longer be there.
Intellicast had been THE weather information site to go to. Like other users have stated here, the product left for us now is not usable, is unstable, and downright irritating. It is so bad, there is nothing I can say about it other than goodbye. I have deleted my mobile app, and removed it from my favorites bookmarks. There are other sites out there, but it is just such a shame to have had something great, and lose it.
Over half the times I try and open the app I just get "Try again later". No explanation just that. It used to be great. Only way it will change is if the advertisers start coming off the site. Which they should because they aren't getting what they pay for.
Wunderground used to be my go-to site for weather info. After the awful Weather Channel gobbled it up, Wunderground became awful too. Awful ads and awful slow---sometimes you click on a link and NEVER get there. Those stupid, unnecessary names for winter storms (many such irritations). Discussions by users, eliminated. The appearance of that hateful word "Premium" (you know what THAT means). I use the National Weather Service site now.
I just paid $10 to renew with no ads and then the ads started. No response from wunderground. Can't update my profile either. Can't get storm data anymore. Get message - no storms in your area - when I'm under a severe storm warning. I just want to know how bad the wind gusts will be - so I can open the barn doors and not lose the roof.
The site managers at Weather Underground have a bad habit of frequently "redecorating" the site, and each time they do, they lard it with more and more JavaScript. They finally managed to break it sometime in 2017. The scripts run endlessly and my desktop browser times out again and again and again, but the pages never finish loading. The Android mobile application has become similarly useless, so I removed it from my phone six months ago. I've switched to the much simpler, reliable NOAA National Weather Service site for my weather forecasts and current conditions, both on the desktop and on my mobile devices.
I have been a paid subscriber and used Weather Underground online from my laptop as well as the app on my devices for years. It provided the most information in an easy to see and use format quickly. I could see days worth of forecast including precipitation and wind. It was right there and easy to see without squinting at stupid graphs. The new app is nearly worthless to me aside from being able to see the current temperature easily. The design team for the new app should pay the company to work there. Uggghhh!
The site's been getting slower and slower to load (very frustrating when I'm trying to get ready to go work), but this evening the hourly button not only didn't work, it erased all the data from the main page, so I had to go back and re-enter my zip code. I cleared my Firefox cache, made sure Flash was up to date, and restarted the browser, to no effect. I tried to email them to let them know of the issue but I uploaded a QT video file (which they recommend, and I had zipped it) and it wouldn't send. I could only send an email with just text. It's absolutely awful. It's a shame because WU was my go-to for years and years. The photo is what it looks like after hitting the "hourly" tab.
The previous format was perfect, everything on one page with simple and informative options. The new format is cumbersome, lacking options like 10 day forecasts with a choice for description and not shown on home page. The map is too small, the adds are too big; I could go on. What were you thinking?
In the past 2 days I have sent 4 reports. After the "upgrade" and subscription requirement it seems to have completely tanked. I have used WU for years. I'm pretty pissed that now it won't even open. What the hell is going on?
Just tried to use my save site settings and it defaulted to another weather station I do not need. Like the descriptive weather reports. The graphs are just a waste of time. I don't want to have to try and decipher what they mean.
This is by far the worst weather site I have ever used! I have tried using it many times for many years and it just sucks! There are so many bugs and script issues, that the site is a pain to use. The only decent thing is the real time close up radar map, but even that has a lot of choppy images and script running problems. There is also a lot of useless garbage on the site as well.
Ever since they were purchased by the weather channel the quality of the forecast and the reliable and up to date hurricane information has fallen by the wayside. But hey on the good side if you are a person who enjoys plenty of advertisements then you are in luck.
Answer: This was deliberate calculated sabotage for some reason
Answer: It won't come back. IBM bought The Weather Company to get at the data so they could package and sell that to their corporate customers using their "Watson" cloud services. Individuals mean nothing. That they've managed to so thoroughly destroy what was once the premiere weather site says a lot about the incompetence behind their core "Watson" products. You might want to tell IBM that.
Answer: They hired a bunch of idiots to manage and design their new site. This included removing features and gutting the radar.
Answer: Yes. We have many employees who come to work each day desperate to appear productive and relevant. We ask them to destroy functional lean websites with bloated nonsense. Meanwhile, our executives require more money so we like to devastate communicative websites with ad-infested infestations of pus-riddled idiocy. Thanks for asking!
Answer: Pointless giving feedback/complaints. I tried this and got an automated reply telling me how much better it was!
Answer: Your local Tv station meteorologist.
