Wunderground was my go to weather site for many years. I operate a boat rental business and wunderground was the easiest, concise and accurate forecast tool of all. Now it's the worst. You have to wade through a barrage of advertising. This app has been upgraded to junk. Why would a company so successful pull the rug out from under itself.
I used Intellicast for years and it was pretty much perfect. I hate people who make changes for change sake. The new format does not provide nearly the information that the old one did. It was so easy to use as well. This one? Who the heck knows where anything is. Garbage. And the presentation is horrible. I am already looking for a new site. This one is being dumped.
Weather Underground, formerly an outstanding site, has steadily gown down hill since purchased by the Weather Channel. I suspect this is intentional.
It's rare that all the features of the site work at any one time and it's down many a time.
Sad really, since the Weather Channel is, in my and many others opinion, all but useless being loaded with social fluff-n-buff and, of course, drama reporting.
Weather Underground has been decimated. Until Q1 2019, it was not only the best weather site, but perhaps one of the best websites overall. A beautiful UI, dense with information. Now, not only have the UI controls been changed to something hideous and bland, but the outstanding API is a shadow of its former self. I'm considering withdrawing my PWS data from it and posting it elsewhere since they're no longer worthy of it.
WU used to be my go-to for all things weather for a number of years. Over the past year or so they have gradually removed many useful features and now with the full redesign, it's slow, clunky and the wundermap is so slow now you can go pop popcorn while you wait for it to load. Then when it finally does load, it's still a slow-motion slide-show. And don't even think about zooming in or out unless you want to start the whole slow process over again.
Farewell Weather Underground, it was nice while it lasted.
What once was a fantastic weather site has degraded to uselessness. Well I can get the temperature but that's it. This is true for the entire state of Alaska regardless of location selected. I know it is not my computer settings because when I pick a location in another state all the information shows up on the screen. What is really worse is that the Weater Channel does not respond to emails and apparently could care less. Very disappointing!
I've just been exposed to the WU site after trying to get to the intellicast site. I'm redirected to WU each time I try to get to intellicast.
Intellicast was useful, easy, fast, and I especially liked the local radar maps.
After 15 minutes of messing with the WU site, I still can't find what I'm looking for. It's worthless. On top of that, it's performance is horrendous. I don't have time to wait for slow pages to load with media content that isn't useful, and hunt around for simple weather data.
I had to remove WU from my phone 6 months ago because it was buggy and often hung, and now I've lost intellicast on my PC to this inferior substitute. Someone should be fired over these mis-steps.
Relied on Intellicast since the late 1980"s since I work outdoors. Rural area with very limited, slow internet. Wunderground site = excess advertising/data grabbing videos. Site down for days now. Hijacked Intellicast. Beware!
Wow, is this replacement for intellicast poor. I liked Intellicast''s radar loops. Wunderground''s maps and interactive radar don't compare. Their website is also slow, loaded with ads, and not intuitive. I am going to start using weather.com. Unfortunately.
Spent several days with the "old" version and this new thing appearing at random times of day. Now apparently they've settled on this abomination. I finally figured out where to find a few things but it is a task. What frosts me the most is when my main forecast page finally loads, my PWS info shows as updated 5 to 30 minutes ago! Sorry, I just got here and need to know the conditions now! If I go to the station page it is current so I know it is communicating in real time to the site. And trying to determine what things may be like later in the day (rain, snow, sun, etc.) is nearly impossible. Seems they tried (unsuccessfully) to transpose a smartphone or tablet app to a web page. They may save a nickel but they're losing people by the bushel. It wasn't broken so why did the try to fix it?
I normally don't write reviews but in the case of WU I feel I must. First I want to thank someone for posting the phone number of WU since I plan on calling now that my emails to them are never returned. They do reply automatically with the message that the team will review my issue shortly. Well, after weeks of not hearing from them I thing the "team" went out to lunch and never came back. I will update you on how I make out after I call.
I thought I was doing something wrong in my attempt to upload my weather camera data but after reading the comments I know it is not me. Thanks;.
Intellicast was perfect, and although it's all the same weather information, the way it's being delivered has been clunky with weatherunderground.
Would rate 1 star, but I'll throw in another and give them some credit.
I miss Intellicast.
Weather Underground used to be very very good -- with good reports, and easy to use graphs. Over the past few months, it has turned absolutely sh***y, and impossible to find any useful weather information.
Sorry to see this, because the Weather Channel is even worse.
You've lose a viewer with me, and your sponsors have lost a customer.
Bad programs do NOT generate good business.
Good by.

I, ve been a faithful user of Intellicast weather for years. If I wanted to know what weather was coming my way I would check it.
But Intellicast has ceased to exist, Instead when I search for it, I get Weather Underground.
This service pales by comparison, the Maps are hard to use, the surface analysis feature is hacked to a non interactive picture, and when I click on current weather, I frequently get a map that's 12-24 hours behind the actual current weather.
After trying repeatedly to find a way to use this disaster of a product, I give up. I always hated the accuweather maps, but at least they are current.
I have used Intellicast for 18 years and enjoyed their easy and accurate format. I am extremely disappointed with being redirected to Weather Underground. WU is horrible, completely amateurish and useless. Also it is full of mal-ware pop-up's to which I had to close my browser to get out. I am finished with WU and will delete all Intellicast short cuts.
This used to be the "go-to" site for innovative weather services, especially PWS owners. For the past year it has sucked and sucks even more after the last website "refresh". Nothing works right, always buggy, many of the good features gone and generally dumbed-down. Thanks Weather Channel and IBM for your guidance here.
I have a PWS (Kpaboyer2)and have been using Weather Underground for years. Always worked fine till about 2 weeks ago. Now I can't login anymore. WU no longer sees my PWS
It just seems to be a mess right now. Maybe it does not support google chrome anymore. Hope they fix it soon!
It takes forever for the site to finally load the detailed 10-day forecast. You get a circle going round while ads load all over. Sometimes the detailed 10-day forecasts doesn't load even in 5 minutes.
Otherwise I think it's a good site because it actually tells you HOW MUCH rain or snow to expect.
Completely useless site with maps that contain very little information and are awful to navigate.
New look with the same maps my A**. They certainly are WunderMaps because you have to wonder who the F**K designed them. Complete rubbish. Resurrect Intellicast.
I was forced to give 1 star. If I could give -5 stars I would.
I thought perhaps you had come to your senses and reverted to the previous page design. This morning, 9/6/17, the horrible new site is back. I am removing my weather station from your network - I will not be a part of such poor decision making. I used to recommend WU and even bought my weather station to be a part of what I considered a community asset. No more!
Answer: This was deliberate calculated sabotage for some reason
Answer: It won't come back. IBM bought The Weather Company to get at the data so they could package and sell that to their corporate customers using their "Watson" cloud services. Individuals mean nothing. That they've managed to so thoroughly destroy what was once the premiere weather site says a lot about the incompetence behind their core "Watson" products. You might want to tell IBM that.
Answer: They hired a bunch of idiots to manage and design their new site. This included removing features and gutting the radar.
Answer: Yes. We have many employees who come to work each day desperate to appear productive and relevant. We ask them to destroy functional lean websites with bloated nonsense. Meanwhile, our executives require more money so we like to devastate communicative websites with ad-infested infestations of pus-riddled idiocy. Thanks for asking!
Answer: Pointless giving feedback/complaints. I tried this and got an automated reply telling me how much better it was!
Answer: Your local Tv station meteorologist.
