Very happy to have discovered this site... the book bought today was recipes from Eliza Acton's Modern Cookery, one of the first cookery books. It makes for fascinating reading as well I hope for enjoyable eating. Shall be starting with the soups naturally!

I do not like to leave negative reviews and have given WOB every opportunity to resolve my issue, of which they have failed. I ordered 3 books at the beginning of March and after waiting for the stated 8 days I contacted WOB as the order hadn't arrived. I was asked to wait a further 48 hours and after doing so, no books arrived. I contacted WOB again and several emails later I managed to arrange a replacement order. One book then arrived, not in very good condition, of which I had ordered and paid for (book had been written in and corners bent etc.), and when I enquired as to where the other 2 were, I again got no answers to my questions. Instead I received a tracking number, that wasn't for tracking, only confirmation of delivery - which I would know anyway as I would have the books if they had been delivered. I emailed to request a contact number to discuss and stated all what has happened and requested a refund. This was all ignored and again, I was given tracking numbers.
I still don't have the books, yet have been asked to review the book and service I have received and no option for a refund. This is disappointing customer service and I'm afraid WOB have lost my custom.

Very pleased with this purchase. The book is in very good condition both the spine, covers back and front. The pages have not been turned down or have any writings or underlines in them.
