If i could give less than 1 star i would. I needed to change my order, emailed and no reply, emailed 9 more times over a week and it arrived, i then called countless times and left multiple voicemails. Still nothing from them. Messaged on facebook and surprise surprise... nothing. At this point I'm wondering if anyone works here. I sent the package back unopened, and the day after i received an email saying:
"Great news! Your order has been processed and is ready to start making its way to you."
Again i emailed more to tell them they are too late with the email and its on its way back to them. The best part of their emails to say you've ordered it and that it on its way is this phrase:
"please do not hesitate to contact our dedicated customer service team"
I still haven't got my money back from them, Im still waiting for someone to reply to my emails, and I'm still waiting for someone to tell me that they have my order.
They seem to reply on here so lets see what they say now.
I am a regular WOB customer in the U.S. (I buy from the UK site typically-better prices than their U.S. site). I had been quite satisfied with them until now. I ordered a used book about Raphael that was available for a very low price. After inquiring a week later about why there was no shipment notification, I received a canned email stating that because the book was popular, there were alot of orders that could not be fulfilled, and that they would refund my payment. I do not understand why they don't have some sort of automatic inventory update (like Amazon, Abebooks, etc.) to show that the book was no longer available.
After writing them several emails, I finally received another canned reply basically repeating their first email. I really do not enjoy being treated like a mug, so I will probably stop buying from them.
Only just found WOB but will be re using after finding a couple of hard to find books at very reasonable prices on their site. They were posted quickly and unfortunately held up at our local depot due purely to Royal Mail problems. I emailed WOB who were very quick to respond and very helpful.

I have been delighted with the speedy efficient service from WOB and the range of titles available. Would always be my first choice whenlooking for a book. Very happy too that the books are recycled. Books were meant to be shared with friends, families, and strangers.

I buy a lot of books from WOB because I like the idea behind it. A book that could end it's days in a land fill, will be read again -- what's not to like. Yes! I had two books that advertised as Hard Cover, but were in fact paperbacks, but other than that -- happy with most of the stuff that I order. Remember, it's what's in the book that matters, but a dodgy CD, Yeah -- that is disappointing for a would be buyer.

I've bought several batches of books & been delighted with quality, price, speed etc. This time there was an error & I emailed to let Wob know. I received a reply almost at once & this was after office hours! Was asked for photo of unwanted books & ISBNs. Did this & now have the 2 missing books & been asked to donate unwanted ones to charity shop. Excellent, ethical, hassle-free solution to a mistake - we all make them - it's how they're dealt with that matters:-)
WOBs has a great selection of books across all genres. Ordering online is easy and delivery is exceptionally quick. I have bought quite a few books and their condition has always been great. I would recommend people to buy books from WOB to save them going into land fill.

I ordered a book 2 months ago through fnac, which I never received, since then I keep calling back fnac to ask world of books to refund me 2 months later after my order I still didn't get refund! I am really unhappy and unsatisfied with world of book which I don't recommend!

I always find a book which is interesting and to my taste. I buy used books for myself but new ones to give as presents. My order is always delivered on time with emails from WOB to tell me when my order has been dispatched. I would recommend WOB to anyone who loves reading.

I have just received several books by the same author. I am pleased with the great condition the books are in even though none of them were sold as new. Wob will now be the online bookstore I go to from now on.
Wob provides the opportunity to buy, quiet specialised, books that I could not otherwise afford.
Deliveries are quick, or if not the delay is explained beforehand.
On the couple of occasions the order has not materialized (very, very rare), a refund has been rapidly been provided.

Not good at all really. I think I'm being refunded for the 9th, possibly 10th time now in 3 months from Wob.com and the Wob eBay page. Every refund is for the same reason, the item has been sold to someone else. It's almost as if this is happening on purpose. Every time I contact them regarding the issue, it's the same old automated response. And if it's been purchased through eBay, well, you don't even get notified it's out is stock, but money is returned faster through eBay than it is from wob.com.

10 % Coupon rebate was not taken into account in final invoice yet I could see price change when I cut and paste coupon code in ordering window. I immediately informed WOB of discrepancy after I printed invoice for record and saw no rebate.
They answered to me 3 days later, basically 70 minutes AFTER they shipped the book that they can't do anything as I shall entered myself code when I ordered. Seriously?

I have used WoB a number of times, in fact it is my first choice when looking for a book, sometimes the books that they send look like new. I also think that their business plan is one worth supporting. The one occasion that something wasn't quite right, immediately the team at WoB put it right, what more can you want from a company.

I placed an order for about several hundred dollars of books. I received a confirmation email and nothing else (besides marketing emails) for several weeks. Eventually, I tried to log in to check the status of my order and the order was not linked to my account. Instead, I used the chatbot to ask to ask about the status of my order. According to the bot, all my books had been bought by someone right before I did so none of them were available and would be refunded. I tried contacting by email several times and received no response. Several months later I had no books and no refund to my card. I still have been unable to reach anyone about this problem.
