In a few words, they deliver on what they advertise and really seem to care. We have purchased over 200 bottles and only one was truly bad. When I commented about this to CS, she insisted I accept a credit which I did not ask for, Some negative reviewers seem to expect a $7 bottle to taste like a $100 bottle, but for the price and quick shipment, they can't be beat! This is so much fun. The prices, selections and free shipping to your door if you buy 6 are all bonuses. Reading write-ups about each bottle are just like reading descriptions of clothes in other sites. "These jeans will make you look 20 pounds thinner" NOT. So I really don't pay any attention to the flavor notes. I just go for the reds and pick a whole bunch of different ones and I am always happy. My favorites I write down and try to get again.

I'm no wine aficionado, but I do enjoy a nice glass of wine with dinner. That said, I'm enjoying the selection from Wine Insiders. They offer fantastic deals that allow you try a wide variety of wines - some deals as low as under $7 per bottle. There's no pressure to choose just the right wine, because they've done that for you. I've been doing this for maybe three years? Have tried 2-3 other mail order wine sites and never reordered from those. Ships promptly. I have it delivered to my office bc requires signature 21 or older. When I get lucky they offer $29 bottles for $9-11.

I thought great 47% discount and free shipping! So I went and started to place my annual orders for gifts. When I got to checkout I said wait a minute. After the discount code is applied they put two gift bags costing $5 each that cannot be removed from the cart. Last year got burned when there Groupon did not clearly list the shipping charges. OK I learned to read Groupon terms more carefully mistakes happen I thought. When seeing what they are doing this year I now believe the Groupon thing was deliberate. I believe Wine insiders is not an honest company and I will not do anymore business with them.
We have ordered from Wine Insiders somewhere around a dozen times, first couple through Groupon and then straight from the website. Let's say 150 bottles overall... We've had four we didn't like. That's not exaggerated. We took photos of the four bottles so we didn't order again. But those four became sangria so it wasn't a loss!
I can't say enough good things about our experiences. Those price points against the quality of the wines are unheard of in a regular store. 15 bottles for $6.99, $7.99, $8.99 each... Yes.

I've order 12 to 18 bottles a few times. The selection and delivery have always been wonderful. This is my second time ordering from Wine Insiders. I love the selection and the wines meet or exceed my expectations. I'm a little disappointed, though. In the "flyer" from my employer, I was supposed to receive a bottle opener. It was not included. I didn't call because it seems trivial since I really am enjoying the wine. Just "meh" on the following directions part.
I've seen the other reviews about shipping but I received my orders - both of them early and exactly as expected. I don't think you will be disappointed.

All through the recent quarantine period, getting wine delivered was a huge problem in the Metro Detroit area.
Many of their deliveries were 3-4 days later than promised. This was very inconvenient, as of course someone had to be home to sign for the wine. The wine selections themselves are varied enough. I often order one bottle of different wineries to create my own review for future purchases.

I purchase a lot of wine from many different sources including on-line and at large beverage depots. My experience is that the red wines (for the most part) are a good value for their price point and a bit better than I expected. They are decent everyday wines that you can bring out to a BBQ or have with your basic pasta or pizza. They have wines from places around the globe and some are quite interesting.
The company even ran a promotion for all wines at under $10.00/bottle and I was happy to pick up several bottles of excellent White Burgundy at a rock bottom price. I believe the Wine Insiders' customer service also tries hard to be attentive and helpful. I think it is worth you trying once to see if the wines are to your taste.

As a member eight or nine years I have received not only excellent service, but really good wines. They have a varied selection of wines with different price points, including some excellent wines with a fair price. During the time I've been with Wine Insiders, I had two problems, both resolved to my satisfaction. One, an incorrect wine; and second, a wine that was bad. Both situations were handled with courtesy and backing their guarantee. A non wine related problem was a promise to give a monetary credit for future purchases upon recommending new customers. I have recommended 7 or 8 friends and not only did I not get credit but they were never contacted. Poor customer relations to say the least. They still get five stars.
