For the last 10 years, every update to Weather.com has significantly impacted the overall quality of the user experience. This latest change - forcing users to start their radar cycle on the "futurecast" (which is notoriously horrible) - has prompted me to simply drop TWC entirely and go elsewhere for my forecast needs. Simply put, Weather.com offers a garbage product which has significantly declined in standards over its run.
They did something to their website. It use to be my "go to" but now moves so slow - takes forever to load the page. Forget about trying to load the radar.
Please fix it www.weather.com. I use to LOVE your page - now it is not useful at all.
In 1996 when I was in college I used the Weather Channel website in the computer lab to check out the drive from Birmingham, AL to Boone, NC to have some fun at Happy Appy over the weekends... it was probably dial up tech. I would zoom in and out of the radar maps to understand where the storms were... it took 5 to 10 seconds... then I was off on the road. 21 years later for the last six months on my high end performance computers/high speed internet I can barely if ever zoom in and out on the radar maps "Mapbox" / *hitbox and other crazy things happen to my computers. So basically 1996 WC is better than 2017 WC.
Love the forecasts and analysis, but it takes so long to load that I no longer use the website. I have a business line with 65 Mbps download speed and it is slow. I can only image that a slower connection would make the site useless.
Come on! I wait for it to load on the main page then when I click on 10 day forecast i'd jump over to another page while it spins spins spins. Stupid page,,, they force you to sit there and watch it load or it won't! Any recommendations for another site other then national weather service ( I don't like their site)
Weather.com used to be a great resource for *surprise* the weather! Now it is all videos, ads and stories frightening, doom-and-gloom, stories that are remotely tied to weather. Nothing loads... it is garbage now.
Too many super loud annoying commercials, worthless video clips, and weird commentators. I frantically try and turn down the loud commercial volume, and after the long commercial is over, all I get is a short useless video clip. What a joke.
When porn websites filled to the brim with junk and endless pop ups load quicker than a weather site, there is something wrong. Sites in EU load quicker than weather.com.
Not to mention, there is endless amounts of clickbait links filled with spam.
Use Wunderground or NOAA instead.
I use to like the Weather Channel online a few years ago... but it is SOOOO slow... gets stuck all the time and is just a waste of time... I started using my iphone for weather Every time you click on something you get a message that it is running a very long script
I can't believe they just let it be bogged down like it is...
Worse than useless - inaccurate. Rainfall - inaccurate (check other sources); air quality - inaccurate (check all the other weather sites). They even post air quality warnings when the air quality is good. They have an allergy tracker calculator which leads one to believe that if you increase your a/c (lower the temperature), indoor humidity will rise, which of course is the opposite effect that a/c has on humidity. Emails to bring these items to their attention are useless. They do not respond and they do not take action.
The forecast is never even remotely close to Accurate
The 7 day outlook Is Hysterical I don't think in the history of the app it has ever been right.
I think it may be a guy sitting on a roof looking at the sky and changing the forecast every five minutes.
This used to be a great website but now I can't manage my locations, I can't change the city from where I used to live to where I now live. It's a shame that such a useful website is so lousy. Jobs should be lost for the terrible work that is being done.
I have used this site from time to time and it is by far the slowest site that I browse. I typically wait for the site to load, and by that time I already have picked up my phone on my desk and got the latest weather map.
The most incompetent excuse for weather forecasting...staffed by idiots and morons. They couldn't tell the correct time let alone any accurate weather.
I absolutely love weather.com because I am always wanting to know what the temperature is like outside. If it looks like it is going to rain outside I like to check the weather in motion to see where the rain is exactly and how bad it is going to be. And they are very accurate.
Does weather.com have an IT dept? The site is RIDICULOUS. I'm not talking about the accuracy of the forecast but the site itself takes forever to load. There are a thousand different ads and pop ups and images that has nothing to do with the forecast you are looking for. What complete IDIOTS are running this site? I don't think there is a word to describe the incompetency of the dumb clowns behind this site.
The app constantly shows 3-5 degree higher temperature, then there is actually in my city.
An app, that is nothing, so i can also pretend driving car, while i have none. The same value i see in this app with constantly false data. Especially always to warm, so that in ten years the hysteric world end climate religion can say: you see! It is MUCH FASTER MUCH WARMER! But it is just false data. The accuracy in fact is so bad, that you have to go hundreds of years back, to find such bad accuracy. That is the progress, climate fanatics wish us all. Sitting in the dark, without knowledge, without faith, without anything but extremly high taxes feeding these heathens cloked in christian faith.
Well played! Still just not reality. Idiots.
They are terrible. They never get the right weather. I love in vermont. And this time of year is snowmobile season. And us snowmobilers rely on poor weather predictions. Last night we were suppose to get 1-3 inches of snow and today another 1-3 inches. What did we get maybe an inch if we are lucky and rainy mist. This is totally b. S. I hate you weather channel. Get your f-ing facts right!
This use to be a good site, get weather anywhere, for any length of time. Store your favorite locations... now it is the slowest, most cubersome, ugly viewing site I have ever seen. Just curious who signed off on this new version. That person must of hated the weather channel. Ummm... try again or lose all your veiwers.
This is so dramatic oh my god, it freaks out my whole family with rhe stupid fake stories."Meateor going to craah into earth in five days" "End of world is near" you know what?!? Shut down the stupid website
Answer: Won't get any better. They now force you to turn off your ad blocker or you can't use the site. Move on!
Answer: That's not a question.
