Weather.com's radar shows a band of fairly heavy snow over my neighborhood, part of that vicious winter storm Wesley weather.com has been screaming about. But one look out the window shows not a flake has fallen all night, and the ground is dry as a bone. Typical.
It is just the worst website in the world, and imagine, it is owned & powered by IBM. No wonder they continue to lose revenue every quarter, and have for years. YEARS! Because of this nonsense. Turn in the website domain name to someone who cares. Google? Interested? Maybe Amazon? At least their servers work. I have never seen anything like this - ever!
Checked their website yesterday for the weather in Ohio this week... Not a drop of rain in the forecast. Yet, it's been raining for 12 hours non-stop! Get your act together or you will lose your few remaining fans. It used to be a reliable source for the weather report, but I can't rely on it anymore.
This site is mostly used for convenience, but it can also can save lives in severe weather. Only problem is... by the time it loads the storm will have already killed you! Advertises should realise their ads are only pissing people off!
Never plan any event and rely on a forecast from this organization. They change their forecast every couple hours. It could be an hour away and they would forecast 0 percent chance of rain with a torrential downpour within seconds of arriving. It's amazing these people keep their jobs.
I stopped using Weather/com years ago. When I asked them why so slow they blew me off multiple time said it was my computer. You don't deserve people if you lie to them all the time. Tried website again afters years away. Still horribly slow. Just go away already.
I want the weather, not the worlds best irrelevant everything. Too many ads and way to slow to even wait any longer. As shame, as IBM is simply tarnishing its reputation as a source of intelligent information.
The Weather Channel is probably full of "meteorologists" who can't get the freaking weather right. There are much more better weather sites for accuracy such as weather.gov. Don't trust this garbage site made by a garbage company.
Painfully slow loading and it does not update properly for example if you are on hourly and press 10 day it won't switch unless you do a refresh which takes over a minute. Not worth the aggravation. It's too bad it used to be a good site but something happened over there.
Weather.com has great content. It's a shame you can't ever read any of it. Over the last year, the site has slowed to the point it's completely worthless. I have very high speed internet and it takes me over 10 minutes now to load the 10 day forecast.
That's pathetic for a major news site and no other well-known news service has such slow loading speeds.
If you cannot access the content, the content is worthless. I predict that weather.com is rapidly becoming one of the least used websites for weather information now because of this long standing problem. It's that bad.
This website is the biggest piece of crap I ever seen in my entire life. Totally useless, poorly designed, and BLOATED TO THE MAX. How much navigating/clicks does it require to get the data? Information is FRAGMENTED in many different places. User experience is DISGUSTING.
Started absolutely hating it... As I was always referring to this site, daily, it is now a nightmare... Can't see absolutely anything because the outrageous, flickering, annoying useless advertisements. A complete garbage. Thanks, but NO THANKS!
This site comes across to me that they primarily want my visit to drive advertising revenue. Headlines are often WAY overblown, trying to scare people into further clicks. Weather dot com could be a hero, a site we could all respect and trust and be proud of, but for now they are completely unethical and seem to be greed driven. I'm ashamed of this site, and I wish they would represent our nation better.
I've used Weather.com on and off for years, but no more. As a regular user and full-time web developer, the site is extremely poor. It takes 30 seconds to a minute to fully load due to the obnoxious numbers of scripts, ads and other junk loading in the background. The articles are sensational, and I often have to "search" for weather in more than a few steps in order to find the forecast for my region. The site has turned into Heavy-r with weather thrown in.
When I load up the page, I don't want to be delayed or have the page skip around while it renders itself. I just want to see my weather forecast. Don't need to see beached whales or exploding tour boats hit by lava. Get in, get out is the idea here.
I'm abandoning that site. It is far too meddlesome for users to be useful anymore.
Many people don't know that the U.S. Virgin Islands are owned by the United States. In purchasing the Islands from Denmark, they took on an obligation of reasonable care of the Islands. When Irma hit St. Thomas and St. John, many felt that these Islands, though devastated by the hurricane, took back seat to the Florida news. Now comes Maria, and many of us who live Stateside but have familial ties to St. Croix have sadly learned that no one is providing news coverage. Through social media we have come to learn that thus far the damage may be comparable to, if not worse than Hurricane Hugo which all be decimated the Island in 1989. No word from the Weather Channel though - they just moved on to Puerto Rico weather. The greatest fear is that the U.S. Virgin Islands appear to be a forgotten trinket of the U.S. and thus its residents may never recover from this disaster.
This site frequently won't even load up at all! And when it does, it often won't open the item that I click on, such as "hourly". I do love the video clips, but I liked it better when they showed strips of them on the front page, with category headers. Now I have to hunt for them, and after watching one, I have to go refresh the browser and search for the next one anew. I would love their photo contests, but they compress them so much that it's actually painful to look at the lo-res photos. I like that they give the dew point though. This has the potential to be the best weather site on the internet; I don't know why they can't find a website builder that can fix these problems once and for all, and create a website that is easy to navigate and does everything it's supposed to do. These problems have been ongoing for YEARS!
I have used the Weather, com site for many years. Over time the local weather map load times have varied, depending on who was supplying the map. This latest map is very slow to load if it ever loads at all. I checked my connections speed (see photo) through Spectrum and it is the site and not my connection. I have even tried various browsers to no avail. The interactive map does not load at all using Firefox, sometimes loads with Edge, and loads most frequently with Chrome. Overall, a terrible map; not to mention the extremely aggressive ads.
Great site for the weather.
Clean, organized, and very easy to use. Also, the addition to have a "future" motion map is great since it can show/predict where storm patterns are going.
Highly recommend it!

Why does The Weather Channel stink week with their forecast they're not even close we live in Maryland utilities to get an umbrella and it hasn't rained in 2 weeks You're stupid models don't work get off your a** and pay attention to the real weather stop relying on your stupid computer Models
This site used to be great. I would think updates would make a website better. Their updates have done just the opposite. It's terrible! The ads popping up are absolutely ridiculous! Navigation is nearly impossible. It's a headache to stick with it so I'm no longer going to even try this website. I'm looking for a better alternative right now.
Answer: Won't get any better. They now force you to turn off your ad blocker or you can't use the site. Move on!
Answer: That's not a question.
