In my opinion the customer service was brilliant, I had a problem with the charging contacts on my Diesel Axiel DTZ2017, they sorted it out promptly with no issues at all.
I purchased Marathon watch from WatchShop. Paid over £700, the watch was advertised as a brand new one.I received clearly used watch with unscrewed crown and the original Marathon box was broken and stained with coffee. My assumption is someone had returned this watch and WhatchShop resold it as a new one. The box had totally broken hinges and had a big dent. WhatchShop returned money after my email but did not even offered to reimburse postage cost or some additional compensation for wasting my time. Now they promised to refund postage costs but I'm yet to receive any money from them. Reviews on trustpilot are mainly positive one but if you read some reviews online on independent forums, there are lots of customers conned by WatchShop in a similar way. WhatShop seems to be sending quite a few used/ broken watches which they advertised as brand new ones. This seems to be some sort of scam they run. Really disappointing.
Watch was either slightly damaged or used based on the fact that the screen had small scratches on it. Took them a week longer for delivery than they said
So watchshop rave about there delivery times. I ordered my watch on a Friday, didn't turn up til the following Thursday. They stated on their website that I'll have it on the Monday. Phone customer services up on the Tuesday and they said I'll received it the next day(no apology), which I didn't. I sent them a couple of emails with my concern, didn't get a reply, so had to phone up. Poor customer service and won't be buying off them in the future, unfortunately for them I buy a lot of watches.
Price match is a sham
This company claims to price match but it DOESN'T. Which makes me wonder why they say they do? The watch in question is a seiko SNP129P1 which was found to be cheaper (28/05/2016) in debenhams and hence meeting watchshop's price match guidelines.
Below is a copy of their response to my price match request;
"We offer our sincere apologies, but in this instance we are unable to match this price.
Although we cannot provide reasons for specific cases, please ensure that your price match meets the following guidelines:
The lower priced item is exactly the same item as we have listed.
The lower priced item is not an ebay or auction listing.
The lower priced item is not secondhand or preowned.
The lower priced item is a genuine product.
The lower priced item is being sold by a seller in the UK - remember, when purchasing from abroad you will have to pay import tax and customs duty on top of the original price.
The lower priced item is being sold by an authorised dealer.
The lower priced item is part of a clearance, seasonal, overstock or liquidation sale.
The lower priced item is currently in stock and available from the other vendor."
I bought a watch from this company. It arrived ok but it was losing time. I sent it back. They first said there was nothing wrong with it, then said that they had found a fault and were discussing with the manufacturer. After having been without a watch for 3 weeks, I chased and they are now saying they'll refund me for the watch but not the postage (over £2). I tried phoning just now and was 9th in the queue so my suggestion is: avoid them.
I am currently experiencing problems with this company. My husband bought me a lovely Rodania waterproof watch for Christmas 2014. It cost £65, with a RRP of £129.00. Recently I noticed moisture build -up under the glass of the watch face so contacted Watch shop who requested me to return it to them for assessment! However they say there is no sign of fault with the seals and that the 'crown' was probably not screwed in properly(?!) which was how the moisture got in! They quoted £45 to repair it! If by the crown they mean the small time-change pull-out button on the side, the watch would not have kept working if this was not pushed in securely, and at no time did the watch stop working! I am not paying them another two-thirds of the original purchase price for this 'repair'!
Update to this review dated 27th June 2015 - Since posting the above reply I am happy to announce that Watchshop have informed me they are going to repair my watch free of charge as a gesture of goodwill! Good on them! But beware of watches advertised as water resistant to 30M. This does not mean 30 metres (although mine had not been worn in water!), but possibly only resistant to very light rainfall and an isolated case of having been splashed with water!
Amazing prices on men's and women's watches from over 150 watch brands: Michael Kors, Armani, Casio, Citizen, Ice-Watch, Rotary and more. FREE delivery!
