So I wrote a review about having to pay for a yardwaste pick up before they bring out the container. Well today they took the container! I called customer service and they said they will bring out another container next Monday, my pick up day.
So here again I will pay for yard waste pick up and not have a container to put anything in.

I probably hate Waste Management more than Putin and it is not even close.

I stopped leasing a house and moved back into an apartment with my last pickup for the month being #3 of 4. I expected a refund. Instead they charged the entire month, plus a $75 pick up fee to get the can back and a $50 fuel charge to pick up the can on top of the extra week of service not performed. It literally cost $130 to quit. At $20/month normal, it cost half a year's service to quit. After inquiries with old neighbors, I found out why the Denver metro area (Westminster) has a proliferation of trash companies competing for room on the streets any given day. Because not all trash companies are the same, with Waste Management being one of the most expensive and least customer friendly.

By far the worst

Can at curb by 6am truck shows up any time and different times when wind blows can over and knocks can over driver he owes right on by happens all the time.
Seriously considering canceling service!

Initial call to customer service agent had agent CORRECTING me on calling her by her name. Still haven't a clue if her name is Diane or Dianna... but she certainly took lots of time correcting me, VS ASKING ME MY QUESTION/CONCERN! Who hired her as she must really have difficulty as she then begins reading 'manuel' on how can I get a REPLACEMENT TOTE was destroyed with their men THROWING tote many times after disposing! Time to chg carriers for sure...

Bad Experience with Waste Management

We own an Asbestos Abatement Company and have had terrible experience with Wastement Management outside of the State of Maine. We opened a business in Rhode Island and ordered a dumpster that took 2 weeks to have delivered.
Once delivered it sat in our company drive way from August 2021 until February 2022. We called many times and was transferred to 5 people and when asked if I could speak with their manager they said to leave a message.
The manager never contacted us but told one of the service representatives that if we emptied the contents of the can they could come pick it up. We didn't hire Waste Management to leave our waste on the ground.
Eventually when we refused to do what was suggested they picked up the can. Prior to this current dumpster we paid $3,000 per dumpster. This Dumpster cost $4,401.32! We were charged extra and above previous bills to endure the horrific experience.
We will NEVER use Waste Management again and advise finding alternative companies.

We stopped service with Waste Management last September due to dissatisfaction with their rates compared to other services. We paid through the end of the cycle. In March I received a collection notice in the mail for $71.55. After getting zero cooperation from the collection agency, I called Waste Management, who I had found out sent it to collections. My credit is flawless, so this was a total insult. Waste Management said they "erroneously" sent us money and attempted to collect it back. They said they sent an email, a letter, and tried calling. I received not a single VM, letter, or email. As well, I never received said money from them and could prove that by my bank account. Making a customer pay for the business's mistake is like punishment for leaving their service. I would never recommend Waste Management to anyone!

I have had waste management trash service for over a year and all the sudden they have not picked up my trash in a month. I have been calling for weeks for them to come and pick up my trash. They always say they will be there the next day or within 2 days to leave my cans at the street, and they never come. I have to keep buying more trash cans and lining them up my driveway. They still have not come to pick up my trash.

Do not let your city council approve contracts with this company. I have had half my garbage picked up many times. Looks like they only grab the top few garbage bags in the container and leave the rest. I've called the service department many times and have had no progress in getting my issue taken care of. They dont seem to care, and that your tax payer dollars are their pay checks. GFL is sloppy and leave garbage in the streets. They dont clean up what they drop. Giving them a score of one is generous. I wish our city would get rid of them.

My husband owns an electrical business, and we accumulate a lot of waste for this reason. Decided to get a dumpster in October if 2021. Things seemed to be going well until January of 2022. Our pickups are constantly missed, so much so we have gotten one in the last month. I called this morning and spoke to a very rude "customer service" rep who informed me curtly that it's up to the driver's discretion if they want to complete a pickup due to weather "for their safety". It rained about two hours yesterday morning and hasn't rained since. (Pickup was scheduled for this morning). This is absolutely laughable. We're charged entirely too much to have *maybe* one pickup per month. Looking back on our service records, they've claimed they did a pickup twice already this month, but it's funny to me how these two services don't have picture evidence like the previous ones. My overflowing dumpster determined that was a lie. Also, we've been double charged in the past and finally just gave up on getting a refund. This company is a scam and needs to be reported to the BBB.

I am now a new customer of Waste Management, they dropped off filthy, disgusting bins that smell terribly. They say do the right thing on their website, but they don't believe in actually doing the right thing.

Seriously!?! The lid is sitting open about 3 freakin' inches! So I get charged 10% overage fees because the lid doesn't sit flat? What in the serious F***? Makes sense you're in garbage since that's what your entire company and MONOPOLY really is - garbage!

Horrible service
March 11, 2022

Most of the time they are late. If they arrive early (5am), they are loud and ridiculous while some of us are still asleep. Arrive at different times, no set schedule. They should get their act together. I will never use this service again. You get what you pay for, pay a little extra for a better service. Or be like me with trash bags waiting for the containers to be emptied.

Waste Management bought out ADS and immediately started charging me nearly double the contract price. When I cancelled service they said I had a contract and I'd have to pay a years worth of bills to cancel. A) I did not agree to anything with WM and B) They are not honoring the contract, which they kindly sent me for review which showed the contract amount was nearly half what they had been charging my bank account. They continue to harass me and I've told them off several times now. I have put blocks on my account so they can no longer bill me, and directed them to communicate only with my attorney. Bullies. Stay clear.

Do not subscribe to this trash company. They are ridiculous and does not have good management. They didnt pick up my trash for 9 weeks and it's still there. I kept calling and no keep tabs of the calls and what was discussed or promised. If i can say all the profanity in the world i would right now, that's how many inconvenienced I am!$$%%!

Terrible Business and Ethics

Stay away at all costs. If you are in a contract read it and make sure you terminate it as soon as you can. They will basically increase rates whenever they want with or without consent as well as increase all other surcharges at their will. A contract means nothing with them when it comes down to pricing. It just secures you as their customer and they really don't care about customer service once you sign the contract.

They have some of the worst equipment ever that I've driven in my 20+yrs of driving. They do not and will not maintain the equipment properly at that location. They have the drivers to drive worn out equipment that has no heat in them what so ever in the coldest time of the yr in iowa. And when you bring it to the attention of the maintenance department they would literally give some random excuse to why it couldn't be fixed, or why it was blowing very little heat. Which still wasn't enough to keep u warm in temperatures into the negative 20's. And when you would tell the RMaka route manager. His excuse was. We got new trucks coming. And in 3 MONTHS TIME. NEVER SEEN THEM. They are on order... Would I recommend another CDL holder to work there. No I wouldn't...
Not in Fairfield iowa area..

They over charge you and is impossible to get an actual person on the phone to rectify or answer your concerns. When you do manage to get through to someone one they transfer you to another area only to have your call disconnected and/or hang up on you after spending hours on the phone. Please avoid their services if at all cost - as it will cost you both valuable time and money.

There should be a zero star option.
