I am supposed to get a green waste bin that is now required by law. I called them over a month ago requesting it and they basiclly just ignored my request and pretend that they don't have enough drivers to do it... Like they can hire more drivers. Cheap bastards. There website doesn't work half the time as well. So i have to spend a hour on the phone just to schedule a bulky pick up. There horrible to deal with. I hope my local City abandons them and use there competition.
I'm in a tiff with WM. And I've never had big issues like this, just typical stuff and it got handled. But this, burns my onion.
I reported I was moving. I was actually incarcerated and moved after I got out. I reported I was moving, and for some reason you still want to bill me. Not only for the first three months I was out, but an additional 3 months after I was gone. I have given you proof, you can call the jail, you can call the two home monitor companies I was on house arrest with in another county 60 miles away. I closed on my house in October, my wife handled the move.
There was nobody there to put garbage in. I disputed it, gave you the realty company that took over the bills and YOU DENIED MY Dispute?

Look at my solid payment history. I never had any probs. Bill always paid. If it was mine, I'd fricken pay it. Quit calling me over a bill that isn't mine. I've given proof, and even the collection agency calling believes me. You denied it though. Well tough titty. I'm not paying bills for a place I didn't live. And today I found that you are billing me for the next cycle too. I've been in my house going on a year. The first 6 months of it were on house arrest. Call my former probation officer. Call the jail! I turned myself in the day after my wedding in July of last year. KMA.

I used this service for 20 years until they refused to pick up some limbs for me. Had paid them 3 months in advance and was entitled to a month and a half return when I canceled my service and they refused to give it to me. After checking found this is the highest price trash service in town. Use anyone but these people as they rip you off!
We called them several times by phone call, Nobody solved our problems to pick-up the gabadge container in Moonflower ct, Menifee, ca
The prices go up with each bill. We have been with them 1 year and never had a bill that remains the same and we have had no extra services. When you call for customer service questions you wait a minimum of 1 hour on hold. I called today to cancel service, you have to hit a prompt for cancel, i called the minute they open, minimum of 30 min hold, I waited 50 min, waited on hold and called and hit a start service prompt from my husbands phone, got a person immediately. They are awful. BEWARE
So I switched over to waste management because my last provider was always late every other week. I figured wm would be better as their trucks are always around my area. It was good for a while, but they started being late as well. First it was one day delay, then 2 days, then 3 days. Finally a week! I usually would get emails, but not the last time. We called a representative and was told to put any extra garbage on the side and they'll pick up. We'll they came today and the extra bag was not picked up! Very disappointed! Why was the extra bag not picked up? I understand that there are driver shortages, but do what you're supposed to do. That's why I will not do business with wm again.
They keep raising the price of ur svc unless u call and complain, then they lower it. They also miss pickups, very frustrating plus hold time on phone way too long. Poor service and poor excuses.

We had our trash emptied today and when welooked inside the bin, wefound that 1/3 was not emptied. I called Oakland WM and they told me that i have to pay for a service call. I asked for the video of unloading and it clearly shows that the driver did not shake the bin twice; only once. I spoke tot he manager and got nothing. They just focused on charging me. WM has a terrible customer service.

Look else where! Unreliable pickup service! I have prepaid service for the year, 1/2 dozen missed pickups in the last several months! Always a different reason for the poor service. Unacceptable! Check with your neighbors, Waste Management clearly has Management issues.
I would if I could. It is the worst. If you want to be told lie after lie after lie, then by all means set up service. The last time they didn't pick up trash I was told they had a FIRE at their company and that's why they didn't come. Today is the 2nd day they missed. They are supposed to be here tomorrow. LOL! Yeah, like that's gonna' happen. I'm going to call them again, and my guess is that they'll tell me they missed my pickup because of the Locusts that are invading. After that, it'll be a flood! Hilarious.
One of the drivers took (and I mean took) our trash can lid. In order for the crows to not grab the garbage, we needed to uncover it at 7:15am. The only way we could get around this was to get one of their trash cans (that has a built-in lid). We had to pay an additional amount to do this.
This has to be the most poorly run service organization I have encountered in my life. Changes to service dates, then they don't pick up trash after the fact. They increase your rates without proper notification. Then try to call and reach someone? It is not possible. Mr. Fisch, CEO, this is a travesty. You have to have a small team of client service people available to answer calls. The fact that you have a rating of 1.0 should be an awakening.
Compactor brought back Friday, now does not operate. Appears that the electrical pig tail to the compactor has been crushed under the compactor by the driver. Can't get any help from rep and after hours emergency number from reps email sends me in a complete circle ending with the conclusion that I need to contact our rep. 1800 number also has the same outcome. Now a 500 plus unit community will be going through a 4th of July weekend with no compactor with a rep that always sends warning out of office emails every time I email her with a problem. Compactor was also returned with trash.
Waste Management now won't pick up any cardboard ("WM considers that recyclable) for a charge, they will pick up cardboard.
It was just a box my new printer came from.
I had a few loose branches from my neighbor's tree. It was in a plastic trash can.
WM will charge $35 for any yard waste in a trash can; with advanced notice.
Grass bags will cost $4 a bag of yard clippings.
I AM SHOPPING AROUND FOR A REASONABLE COMPANY.
PLEASE CONSIDER SIMILAR ACTIONS.
You can never get a hold of customer via phone or chat. Phone # disconnects you and they also send you from one department to next especially when a pick up is missed and you are trying to get a credit. They are expensive
If I could give them a negative 10, I would! DO NOT USE this company for your trash and recycling service. I moved into a home in Overland Park and was not sure who to use for my trash and recycling as there were many options. The former owner had used Waste Management so I just went with them. TERRIBLE decision! I could go into details but not necessary. I'll just say that I have used many different services in my 59 years of life and being a homeowner for over half of that time and I have never experience such awful service and customer service as I have with this company. BEWARE - they charge an undisclosed "fuel & environmental fee" every month which fluctuates every week and they will not let you know what it will be. This charge ended up doubling my bill! The other companies in the area DO NOT charge this fee. They may be slightly higher on their cost but you know what you will be paying.
This company has a very deceptive and tricky online checkout process. I wasn't aware when I checked out that they consider that submittal to be your agreement to a one-year contract term! Furthermore, the invoice received is loaded with fees that are not mentioned in the checkout form, nearly 2x the quoted figure in the web checkout. When I called to inquire, I was told that I agreed to these terms and to the fees during checkout. Perhaps that's true, but it certainly wasn't made clear, quantified, or made central to the process. I asked if I could cancel the service and was made aware that I would have to but out the rest of the contract! I asked if I signed something that agreed to this and they said that my checkout was all the signature they needed. I will be disputing any attempt to charge me for the buy out and reporting the company to my state ag and to the BBB for deceptive business practices.
So I called a few times regarding their auto pay. They want you to enroll in paperless billing and autopay otherwise they will charge you an extra $8.50…. I already had paperless billing but still charging me $8.50 for not enrolling in autopay! It's like there almost forcing there customers to do something they can't do. I asked for a manager or supervisor to give me a call, which never happened. I know not everyone can do that do to funds and everything going up. Also I asked if they would pay NSF fees if a customer did autopay but didn't have the money… Absolutely not! No help either way! And they didn't really care about losing customers due to there fees/new contact!
I made arrangements to pick up a large item (box spring) on my scheduled pickup day. Waste Management did not pick up the item. When I called customer service they informed me that I had placed the item out on time and packaged it correctly as evidenced by the video from their waste truck. However, the item was mistakenly not picked up. Since then I have spoken with customer service 4 times and each time I was promised the item would be picked up and each time the promise was made the item was not picked up. The last time the customer service representative promised a manager would call me in order to insure the item would be picked up. A manager never called me and the box spring still sits in my Cul De Sac.
Terrible customer service and management. My county charges me for waste pickup via my real estate taxes and contracts Waste Management. Since the town pays them Waste Management does not care one bit about customer service, its non existent. Its so bad I am going to see if it is possible to get a petition going to so the the town trash contract goes to another hauler
Answer: Apparently it is how they conduct business by being as rude and unethical as possible. I hope they did not steal from you as well.
