I was very nervous with all the documentation I had to do for my father's funeral, I was overwhelmed by everything.
Big waste of $. First they say $ back guaranteed, promised to cancel order. Did not. All they do is send you copy of application from state and you have to do all the filing and paperwork. Scam is all it is.
Just go to your vital statistics office and get what you need. Save yourself time and money. Literally all this website did was send me a pre-filled page of my information that I could have easily done. It was misleading. I thought my certificate request was processed through here and sent. It is not. You still have to send it to your state and pay the fees with them. You're literally giving them money for nothing.
Never gave me my purchase price until I printed out the receipt! I would never had paid $47.00 for this and then they said they would give me a 15% discount, never got that either. No phone number to call and complain! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!
There is nothing in the application process to indicate that you will still have to fill out a form, sign, and mail it to your state's agency. We just paid $40 for a total scam. All the bot site did was fill in a form we could have done ourselves and tell us to mail it in with a check. Don't waste your money.
It's nothing but an site that you can use to process an application for $48, which you can get for FREE. Scam, Scam, Gov't Scam. I tried to be proactive because of COVID-19, but seems everyone is taking advantage of hardworking people.
I paid $47 thinking the would send the birth certificate and only got a completed
Application and I still have to send it in with the processing fee. So what was the $47 for. RIP OFF
Ordered a birth certificate, got a form that was free to download from my state and a pre paid printout to send the form in.
Also had to pay the state fees on top of the $50 something dollars I paid them for the free form.
A rip off.
First time requesting a passport for my son and as one of the requirements I needed his birth certificate. I followed every step from the website, very clear and user friendly format. Finally I got the certificate in no time!
You do not need to pay to get an application for your birth certificate. You can download it for free online. This is a complete rip off and you don't receive your certificate here, do not use this site!
ON YESTERDAY I THOUGHT I WAS ORDERING MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE ONLINE WITH THIS COMPANY.
I PAID $47.00 FOR A NOTHING FORM. I COULD HAVE DOWNLOADED THE FORM THEY SENT ME ON MY OWN FOR FREE. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR SCAMMING PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR MONEY. THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER LISTED TO CALL TO STOP PAYMENT. NOW I HAVE TO PAY $46.00, FILL OUT THE FORM, MAIL IT TO VITAL STATISTICS IN MY STATE. DO NOT USE THIS SITE FOR ANYTHING THEY ARE FULL OF B___S___.
I was preparing all paperwork to apply for a mortgage and suddenly the bank asked for my birth certificate. I was very stressed with all the documents I needed to file and thanks GOD I found this service. The process was very simple to follow and they guide me though all the way. I'm very satisfied!
Do not fill out any information or pay any money. You won't get your birth certificate or money back, but they will have all your personal information.
For $47 all they do is fill out a form you can do yourself for free.
And they can't even do that correctly. They got the birthdate wrong.
Its so wrong that they pop up on google before the office of vital records.
Yep... I got scammed. I started out by filling out the actual government one, and then couldn't finish, so got an email from these jokers pretending to be the same site. They took my $47, and I have requested a refund. Considering a police report because I'm so pissed.
On friday august 9th'2019 i had a withdraw from my bank to get a copy of my birth certificate for $47.00. Not only did i never recieve the document but i tried numerous times to get ahold of them e mailed them ect and got no responce back so basically they are con artists 'will take your money and you get nothing in return.DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!
For $47, I received a fillable PDF with my information I gave to Vital Records Certificates. I thought I was paying the application fee. But when I received the fillable PDF form back, Vital Records Certificates told me to send in the form with the additional application fee for the state health department, which is $48. Extremely frustrating.
The website is basically a middle man to do what you can do by yourself. They provide no information on how to gain access to your documents and charge you for their "administration services"; which basically means they talk to the state for you then give you your application without telling you that you can do that and save money. Basically this business extorts peoples ignorance. There is no customer service number to call and they are very lax on returning any messages you submit through their help desk. If you are ignorant like I was then I am hear to warn you not to use this garbage service and just talk to the state to gain access to your records.
Based upon the information I supplied to Vital Records, I received a completed PDF form for a fee of $47. I was then instructed to send this form to the State for processing. I found out later that the same PDF form is available from the State for FREE. Vital records is nothing more than a form preparation site. No birth certificate is supplied. I have requested a refund. Let's see what happens!
Answer: SCAM. Check out the review I posted. I am not affiliated with Vitalchek but that is the company I meant to use and ended up paying to use anyway. So I bascially paid twice for the same service because of these scammers.
