The company's reputation is significantly marred by widespread customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to poor customer service and technical issues related to redeeming rewards. Many customers report frustration with expired cards, unresponsive support, and difficulties accessing funds. While a few users have had positive experiences with successful redemptions, these are overshadowed by the prevailing sentiment of incompetence and perceived dishonesty. Overall, the company appears to struggle with reliability and effective communication, leading to a lack of trust among its customer base and prompting numerous complaints to regulatory bodies.

Kind of strange that they can legally expire gift cards well before the five year mark by rebranding it as a reward card. Pretty sure that this is technically illegal, but someone would likely need to take it to court to prove that. Avoid at all costs.
Awful service and not helpful at all. Expiry date only 3 months and they will not help you if it expire. Stay away from them
BEWARE! If I could give virtualrewardcenter.com no stars, I would. From the first attempt to use the "virtual reward" to the poor and unhelpful responses of customer service, it was impossible to use the so-called "reward." Any MERCHANT who uses this gimmick is only giving a frustrating experience to their customer!
Refused to swap my £100 voucher even though it was in date and unused. Accidentally selected the wrong voucher and they are refusing to exchange it to the one I want and can't provide a reason why
Similar to prior reviewers, I have had an incredibly poor experience with this company. They have restricted my access to over $250 which was given to me as a form of compensation. My card did not work at most of the places at which I tried to use it, and they now are declining to reissue me a new card. They have placed an unauthorized "unload funds" charge on my account and assumed possession of over $250 given to me as compensation, to which they are now refusing to allow me access. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and I encourage you to do the same if appropriate.
This is a terrible company. I got a card, tried to use it several times, it never worked! I wrote for help, never could resolve it. It took so long the card then expired and they would not extend the expiration date. In my opinion, just a bunch of crooks!
Cards expire after a ludicrously short time and they will not do anything to honor them. Somehow they are not beholden to laws that cover any other gift card in the country.
Experienced all the frustrations of most others that have written reviews, but in the end, instead of linking to a bank account for a payout (which I believe is their TRUE intention with all the establishments that actually reject the card --- to gain access to YOUR personal bank info), thank God, I used the $50 virtual reward card received from M&M Mars as compensation for a product testing ONLY to fund my transit card...
I had made six $5 transactions and then paid Amazon $6.99 for a total of $36.99 spent...checked at the time of Amazon purchase and the $13.01 WAS the correct remaining balance, so within a few hours I decided to try and zero the balance and just be done with these idiots by making a couple purchases... upon checking beforehand, the balance went from $13.01 to -.97... hmmmm, wtf? So, thinking it's an error, I try to add $5 to the transit card, which is a recurring transaction, as a test... Of course, rejected/declined
Now, of course, no actual number (even though help section says if any issues to call number on "back of the card") to call, so I follow the email instructions, where I inform them in initial email all these details along with their 'customer service key' b.s., only to be given scripted responses, as if it was chat GPT, and the 'rep' Elizabeth harping on the $5 rejected purchase as to why I had a negative balance, without anyone willing to actually do the simple math.
As I said, I'm pretty sure the end result of this scam company is for you to provide them with your personal info, primarily bank account(s), which they can do whatever with, now OR in future, once you've provided it, because in the help section it gives you instructions on how to remove your personal information by going to "your account" -- which the option doesn't exist in menu.
What's even more surprising is that a company as large as M&M Mars wouldn't do the due diligence or use a company that has this many negative customer experiences to pay individuals for their product tastings...
Please share review so noone else puts their personal data at risk!
Horrible... I wish 0 stars could be given smh
I have been trying to collect my reward since Dec 2023 and they send you a link and then it never allows you to set up a account. I will be filing complaints on this company with two entities this week to prevent others from having the same problem. They definitely got the right one because I love what I do. They shouldn't be in business.
They won't give me my money, I even have an email from them telling me they found my reward but won't give it to me. Then they say they can't find it. I got in touch with the Focus Group they provided me with the tracking number so it can be found, I provided that information to virtual rewards but they still won't give memy money. I was professional and nice about it now they won't even answer my emails. I have been dealing with Amanda all she could say was to contact the promoter, I did that they gave the tracking numbers but no response from Amanda. I'm not going to give up, I didn the promotion 4 months ago and, I'm still not paid? It
Never again not worth anything! Has $450so many restrictions I had to call every day to figure out what and where I could use it for
After doing a couple surveys for a few companies, I was paid via Virtual Rewards In the form of Virtual Prepaid Visa gift cards. In order to use them (4 in total for $40) I need the CVV code on the back of these 4 cards. Each time I've tried to use them for a purchase, the cardholder.virtualrewardcenter.com website has been malfunctioning where I cannot get the CVV code to redeem or website just isn't loading/ working at all. These 4 cards expire soon so I am needing help to get these reward Visa cards redeemed for purchases. Am not willing to post pictures of these cards since sensitive Information is on them.
I added the card to my account then I go to login to get the card number to use it and it keeps saying error no number to call for help I emailed but who knows if they'll ever get back to me it's 200 dollars I need my money!
I made $25.00, $20.00, $10.00 doing surveys for Survey Junkie, when I tried to redeem my funds, their system would not let me redeem, I call their #800 number and was told they know there is a problem and they are working getting it resolved. I had the same problem in September 2023. I called again and explained the issues I encountered, I can't get any of my funds, I tried adding the redemption to a visa gift card, the same way I've always done. Their system will not read my information, I spoke with someone at the #800 number, and again was told they are working on the issue. I told the person I needed the funds because I did the work, she told me, don't do the surveys. I asked her when will the system be fix, she said she will pass on the information. This has been 3 days now and I have not been paid for doing the work for survey junkie. Their site say within 2 hours, I tried calling again and they won't help me, I went on LinkedIn to see who I can email for this issue because they network team is on the site under DISQO, who is the owners of Survey Junkie. I have also sent photocopies of the issues I'm having with the site and they push me off to support. Also, now when I redeem, I don't get an email with the code I need to redeem or activate any of the payouts, I don't know if Survey Junkie is not paying anyone for their work, please beware of this site, it's like I no long exist in their system for survey's.:
If it were possible to give 0 stars, that would be my review. This gift card was almost impossible to use and I literally tried to use it in 6 different places- restaurants, building material stores, grocery stores and online stores before I found one that was able to get the card confirmed (apparently, although I am still waiting for the store to contact me about whether the transaction actually went through). A horrible and frustrating experience including interactions with their customer service team. Never again.
The only enter button that works is to change your password. Change my password, can never redeem. Activate my card button never works. Emailed so many times, they tell me to clear my cache, duh, already tried that. Two desktops, two phones, two tablets, won't let me redeem. Scam since their "help" doesn't help me.
I don't remember what survey/study I did to earn a $5 "virtual reward" - and the notification email didn't provide any details - but what can I say? The Amazon claim code was valid.
No complaints here.
I too have had similarly negative experiences with this company. They are holding up 2 virtual gift cards totaling $110 that I was supposed to recieve as the result of a survey that I partook in. Instead what I have received is a site that will not allow me to get past the contact screen. No matter how many times I have tried I cannot get past the setting up an account screen. Upon reaching up to them, they've responded with there being a problem with my browser, my computer, or clear the history, or use Firefox or Edge. ALL OF WHICH I"VE DONE! Stupid me! I've never had any of these problems redeeming through any other processors. Next, the "Customer Service"/"Contact Us" page says call, chat or email, does anyone see a chat feature on their page? Can anyone find a phone number to contact these people to talk to a live agent? I don't think so! I've searched and come up with nothing! These people are scammers plain and simple.
Below is a copy of the last email that I sent as a reply to my multiple failed attempts to receive the money I've earned:
"My mistake for reaching out to you and actually expecting to get actual help. I just read the multiple reviews regarding your company site and customer service. So far, things don't look very good. The majority of the reviews are quite bad and it appears as though many people are having or have had the same situation happen with your company as I am having. It's okay though. Continue operating your business the way in which you are doing and I will join the list of individuals who will complain to the appropriate authorities, bureaus and survey sites who use your services to see to it that you are very soon put out of business. If you will not conduct your business with integrity, you will soon no longer have a business to operate. Either fix your site and pay these people what we've earned, or step aside and let legitimate businesses operate in this space!"
If enough people continue to experience this out of this company, I expect legal action to follow at some point. These people suck!
Do NOT use these people! Alls they do is bull$#*! you and keep telling me I will receive my money within 24 to 48 hours and it's now been 5 days and still nothing! You can never get ahold of a real person.THEY SUCK!
Answer: Email only, they do reply on EST time. So if you need help on the west coast it is not the best.
