No information beyond what is available publicly, I cancelled and then they still billed me almost $30 after a 6 day trial. They make it hard to cancel - basically a scam. AVOID
So my mom bought a 99 expedition, she wanted to trade me for a 10 Lucerne,
I looked up the truck an boy it was salvaged, needed exhaust work.
So Vin history Koo Doe's to y'all!
Thank you
After agreeing to pay $1.00 for a vin report, this company continues to charge my checking account $28.95 every month despite numerous calls to have the service cancelled.
Vin report did not mention that it was more of an RV than a truck at this point but they went so deep into the DMV history that I now feel completely comfortable with any decisions I make about the truck **** I need to add that I never would have made a review on my own but Vin report emailed offering me a $25 again got card for making an honest review of them***
How everything will go (vinhistoryusa.com):
1. You'll trust this website since it's at the top of Google search, and there's a live chat with a real person.
2. You'll be assured that the service costs $1.
3. You'll enter your card details, and $1 will be charged.
4. You'll receive the worst report imaginable. On any free car report site, you can get more information.
5. After a few minutes, $30 will be deducted from your account. Turns out, it's a monthly subscription for their report services, information you only find out after payment. Well, either I'm blind, or it's written somewhere.
6. Since you don't have an account, you can't check the subscription status or remove your payment methods. You'll ask in the chat. You'll request a refund.
7. They'll promise to refund you. They'll reply in 3 business days, then in 1-2 business days, and it will go in circles.
8. Later, you'll read only negative reviews on the internet and see this review.
9. You'll have a choice - hope that they won't charge your card again or go change your bank card. Since I've seen in reviews that others continue to be charged, and personally, they tried to deduct $1 from me again without reason, I decided to change my bank card.
Wish I read the reviews before purchasing. This site is a scam. If you have chase it should be automatically declined as a fraud transaction. Make sure you cancel the card as well.
I have CLOSED my bank account, all 3 of my cards are locked. I have no money in my account, yet this company (which I've never associated with before, nor have I used these cards for anything but Walmart & Shoppers Drug Mart) keeps attempting to take money from my account. Once this starts, all you can do is cancel your entire account with the bank & never go back to them. No matter what you do, what account you create, if they have access to your email and phone number, they will CONTINUE TO MAKE CHARGES TO YOUR ACCOUNT. This is ridiculous. Piece of sh** scammers.
Looked up a prospective purchase and discovered it was a good deal. Just got my new to me Mazda CX-9 back from my mechanic who assures me I made a smart buy!)
I ordered a vin check.was supposed to be free. Then they wanted a credit card to verify. The vin check came back as not on file. Then a couple days later I got an alert from my bank I checked it out and carscentme charged me $1. Then vinsnug charged me 29.95. Well I've done some research and swipay llc. Out of Miami runs the carscentme scam as well as vin historyusa.they even reference the 29.95 and $1 payment on there website. They also give you a number to get a refund auto matically but that's the dudes cell phone all these businesses are run by the same man first name alexander.they tried to spread out the scam so it would work and it has worked for them. As far as my bank is doin a fraud investigation so hopefully they will pay for being a scam artist.I hope they get wind of that.
I recently purchased a used vehicle and I wanted background history on it, so I decided to use VinHistoryUSA as my resource.
I am very satisfied with the report I received and can rest easy knowing my purchase was a good one.
I agreed to a $1.00 search. Only needed one simple thing. Which was under the purview of what was offered for such $1.00. The one simple thing was not accomplished. Now over 5 days they have taken/stolen $39.84 from my credit union account for 3 separate charges I never and would never agree to. I don't have that kind of "mad" money laying around. Talking to a live person is next to impossible. There help site very minimal, as for options. The only # I found gives you 2 options, if they say they will connect you with a live person, you get disconnected. This is the USA why is this outfit still allowed to be in business. I wish I had seen the 1 star rating and read their reviews. This whole nightmare would of never happened. All I know is when I finally got a hold of a live person, had trouble understanding man because of his accent. Said he would refund money, then said he would cancel membership, I never signed up for, but the charges were membership charges. After trying to tell him I only agreed to $1.00 for the umpteenth, he said they would refund my money. I don't believe him to be honest. O guess we'll see...
VinHistory is a scam. Sends you a fake report (sample report) to your email after you pay the $1.00.
They are trying to get your credit card details. Should report them to the FBI quickly. Has anyone done that?
They are using a few entities. CARSCENTME (this is coming up on the Credit Card statment). And also BUDGET VEHICLE REPORTS MIAMI US. They tried to charge me an additional $4.95 today. How do we get these guys
Don't do it! It's fraud. I had to call my credit card company to report the scam. Charge you an insane amount of money for looking up one vehicle and never getting the report. Please don't do it!
Looked up information about a Jeep I was interested in. Found all the information I needed. It matched what the car dealer had shown me on Carfax. Great service.
I was looking for some information; not trying to join a membership club. In typical internet fashion, I wasted my time and money on a scam to get more money out of me.
I pulled the VIN straight off a BMW service history report VinHistory came back and correctly identified the year, make and model. Once I submitted my payment, it came back and said unable to provide report - incorrect VIN. I'm only out $1 but a lesson learned.
I got the info that I needed in an easy to read report at a great value. I will use this service again. This product is equal to carfax but much cheaper.
I was scammed like everyone else----charges to my debit card that I did not authorize. Call this number--*******073----you can cancel your "subscription" and also get a refund.
I checked for a car details which I was planning to buy as a pre-owned one. VIN history produced a report which has nothing in it except the car make and model name. Very much disappointed.
It was a great experience as I was able to receive all the information I needed for just $1 instead of paying $40. It helped in making my decision about the car.
