If you return merchandise, they pretend it's okay and then send it back to you again with some lie. They are unscrupulous, greedy, tacky, merchants who care nothing about anything but money. Karma will get them
I bought a Stetson from them and it was great service from them a good price, I do recommend this company they have lots of products and different vendors to choose from

HI Dave, I don't have an order number to look into this for you but if the shipment was never delivered and lost in transit and instead of a reship you wanted a refund they should have refunded you in full so I'm not sure why it was minus $32. I am unable to look at the details of your order to be able to see the situation at hand. I apologize for any bad experience you had.

HI Cheryl, I don't have a order number to look into the specifics of your order but I do apologize you didn't receive a return call. During the early months of Covid we unfortunately only had 4 people doing all the work of the company to keep things going and our 1 customer service clerk was working from home so I am sure we were not at our top performance which shouldn't be an excuse for you having issue with an item you purchased from us.
I ordered a kangol bucket hat. For about $53 + $20 shipping. Not cheap. They crushed the hat to ship it in a smaller box. WHY?
Hi Mario, I apologize for the inconvenience. This item is a crushable hat that you can roll up and throw in a bag for a trip without doing any damage so this item wouldn't have to be steamed or fixed in any way it simply goes to it's shape since it is made of polyester and acrylic if this is the tropic kangol bucket which I believe it is looking at the photo.
When a customer informs us they received a damaged item we request photos so that we can send to the manufacturer to let them know about the issue or it could be a case that the damage a customer sees is how the hat is made and if we send a replacement it will look exactly the same as the original one they received so we try to discuss that before having to send products back and forth for a customer to be upset that the next product isn't up to their standard either.

I ordered two hats and found them both to be of excellent quality. Received both within a week good service. I plan to both work and play with my new hats, while staying safe as I am a cancer treatment patient and must avoid sun. But that doesn't mean I have to be a vampire.

I ordered a dozen African safari hats. When I opened the box I was horrified to find that all were terribly out of shape. I called customer service and was told to send them back. I would have to pay the return shipping. It would cost me twice the price of the hats to send them back. I always liked their service, but I will never buy another safari hat from them
Hi John, I don't have your order number to look into this further for you but if this photo was sent there is no way you should have been told that we wouldn't send a return label. I truly apologize if you were. These items when bought by the dozen are normally in prepackaged boxes with inserts so this is not ok by any means. I apologize once again that you received anything in this condition.
I originally had a surly customer service rep and difficulty with a return. After an email I got a personal reply from the owner. They made it more than right. I recommend the Village Hat Shop highly!

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with this website. Poor and deficient customer service, and when I finally made my order they've sent me an email to notify that my payment method was declined, and also blocked my card because isn't from USA... Now, no money and no hats.

Purchased a hat to wear on vacation and at checkout, delivery was expected within 4 days. Ordered the hat on November 1st and it is now November 8th, still no hat. Called Village Hat customer service and the representative offered no solution nor did she seem to care. Awful overall experience and wouldn't recommend.
I bought a hat on the Village Hat Shop's online store and when the hat arrived, I found the quality control seriously lacking. The seam on the bow on the hat band was off centered and a knotted piece of smashed crap. I called the Village Hat Shop to let them know about this defect, and they agreed there was a problem and stated that that "This is just the way it is made." Based on their response and apathy that they are selling defective merchandise, I won't be doing business with The Village Hat Shop again.
Hat comes in a corrigated paper hat box, the rough edges will dammage and scratch any hat you order from them. The shipping took 12 days longer than the estimate and you must pay return shipping. How can they still be in business?

Only ordered my hats 2 days ago and have just received them today. The quality and machine standard of these hats are phanominal, I would recommend these to anybody. My experience was good from the order to the delivery. Not a problem. I then have a question about a hat I was interested in and because I had a picture of it I chose to send it directly to the *******@villagehatshop.com email address directly. I did not use the form in the address page because I thought a picture of the hat I wanted to know more about was better than my description. An hour 33 minutes later the email I sent pinged me back with the fact that the email was deleted without reading. I then went into the form page of the site and sent a form message this time asking about the quality of service when email is deleted without reading. I then get a nasty call from customer service representative Tina very combative and telling me I did not send any email and that I had no right to say that I was not getting great service. I am dumbfounded any company would allow any of their employees to make such a call. She was in the middle of bad mouthing me when I hung up on her. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY THAT IN THE FUTURE MIGHT REQUIRE TALKING WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Instead of asking me what my problem was and working to resolve it I was blame the customer for making an inquire their systems had misplaced. I have been a rep and worked in retail for 15 years and I would have never let any of my employees make such a call. Ridiculous.

Answer: Legit company, but with terrible customer service. I've bought quite a few days from them over a couple of years and all went well, until there was a problem. Misinformation on their site led to me ordering a hat of the wrong size, and I then found out about their customer service. As mentioned above, it was terrible. I have since discovered that many other online reviewers have found out the same thing.
