Victorinox

I purchased a 16" Victorinox knife. It has a spot of untempered steel that cannot be sharpened. I sent it back to the company and was told it was out of warranty. The knife is like new. It cost me $10.00 plus shipping for them to look at it. Just want to warn people; they don't stand behind their product. I have used their knives in my meat business and never had a problem; but if you do it's your problem, not theirs. They don't stand behind what they sell. That is in my case.

Over the last twenty or so years i have purchased no less than five of their watches and seven of the knives. I still have all of them and believe it or not they all still work and look wonderful. I have used them all in various situations and all have performed as they were designed. Even though my outdoor actives have decreased due to health concerns I still wear one of the watches and carry a well worn knife. They are all excellent products and well worth what i have paid.

I purchased a replacement strap and received very fast thats why i gave 2 stars just for that. Otherwise the strap was a very cheap item and contacted with customer service and didn't receive any response. They sent an automatic message that they received the email. Anyway i was not planning to return the item cause it is a very cheap item $18 and but at least has been expecting a contact asking if anything they can do. So basically i returned it and now since 2 days waiting my refund. Webside is ok to use. Easy to mavigate and i know watches are extremely high quality. But they have a very poor customer service and support. You can find better prices also at local authorized dealers. Such as macys, nordsrom.

A few years ago, I ran short on funds on my husband's birthday. I asked the Universe what to do, then went out for an early morning walk in Los Angeles. (read "The Secret"). The first road I crossed had something shining brightly in the middle of it. I picked it up. It was a Swiss army watch with a missing clasp pin. There was no way to find an owner on this heavily travelled street, so I wrapped it up and gave it to himself. He was delighted, but saddened when it fell of his wrist a year later due to a faulty clasp pin. This time I purchased a swiss army watch from my favorite horologist on Pico Boulevard,(Feldmar's) just before we moved half way across the continent. The new Swiss Army watch stopped and we had the battery replaced at the most respected horologist in the city. It stayed stopped! We packed the watch up and sent it back to Feldman's in Los Angeles, and Feldmar's sent it to Victorinox as the warranty was valid. What Victorinox said will surprise you. "We acknowledge the warranty, but we will not honor it!" Why? I said. "because someone else changed the battery"! I was shocked, and I smelled cop out. Feldmar's worked on the watch themselves and sent it back to us in working order. Feldmar's has replaced the battery in my own watch for 35 years and it has never needed anything else. It's a Tag Heuer. Now that's a watch worth your time.

Bizarre cancellations policy, poor returns and rude and unhelpful customer services. Will never use again.
