Say cost is 1.00 and then get charged another 18.95, signed up for the 1.00 report, they charged 1.00 then charged 18.95, looks like a scam Plus it did not show an accident that Carfax shows

Could use a little more detail, however it was very easy to use and the data was useful for a free report.

Info come's handy for me while searching for a classic car. I wish known about this site before, car dealers don't feed you in with pros & cons but this is different here, each & every aspect will be shared here.

When searching to buy a used car, carfax reports can really add up. While this report is not as detailed as a carfax, it gives enough basic information that I would be able to judge continuing with the buying process.

If you don't have a lot of cash to research the background history of every car you're interested in, this site will be invaluable for getting basic facts (and a lot more detail than you probably need). Be armed with information before bidding at auction! Plug the VIN in and here comes your three-page report!

I always check VIN's on VehicleHistory.com before I get serious about buying anything just so I have some peace of mind about the history and what I'm getting myself into. Super easy to use and it has always had accurate information thus far.

I love how easy the site is to use. Just enter in the VIN and you get a fairly complete and usable service and vehicle history. Helps with the buying process! Glad I found this site - it's almost as good as carfax - and I am sure with time it will be better than CF.

I'm not sure why wouldn't give this site 5 stars. It's free. Period. No login information, no credit card information, nothing like that. It showed potential car purchases for me with their accident records, maintenance schedule, odometer records, etc. Why the heck are you paying for Carfax?

This really did help when purchasing my used car. It alerted me to possible recalls, and gave me a number to call to ensure the repairs were completed, and also gave me an idea of what i should actually be paying

At the same time, I know how valuable history reports are so I was really excited to hear about a website where I can get free reports. The reports on this site are excellent and easy to access. This website is way better than paying $20 for a single report with carfax. More accurate mileage sometimes. Paying for a car report in the 21st century sounds outdated when access to information is free.
