We got an insurance claim from the post office accounting service center. I called them to try to get some problems resolved, and I can't even talk to a real person because the automated system keeps hanging up on me because it can't understand me because it's not asking me questions about what I actually need to do And there's no way to find a person or talk to a person get your system fixed
My encounters with USPS delivery have been a mixed bag. On the plus side, USPS offers affordable and widely accessible delivery services, serving communities across the nation. Additionally, their extensive network provides comprehensive coverage, reaching even remote areas. However, there are areas for improvement. USPS's delivery reliability can be inconsistent, with some packages experiencing delays or getting lost in transit. Furthermore, customer service responsiveness can vary, with long wait times and limited support options. Overall, while USPS offers convenience and accessibility, enhancements in reliability and customer service would further enhance the delivery experience.
I worked temporarily for the post office at 1515 Crickets Ave in Lubbock, Texas. I had to quit due to excessive arthritis that got a LOT worse doing this job! It took forever for me to get my first paycheck I was told that I would receive a second paycheck, but they've been giving me the runaround about my second paycheck.
Extremely unsafe work location. We were told that there were at least 5 guys who work there that sexually harass female employees. They claim that it's extremely difficult to do anything about these sexual predators because of the union.
Also, there are a lot of homeless people that hang around this location and they harass employees as well as break into employees cars. Another reason that I felt was important for me to quit this job. No one should work in such an unsafe work environment!
I don't like you can't talk to a live person by chat if you don't want to call. It's hard to email them without going through a bunch of crap. Should be able to just simply send an email to customer service about anything. My packages keep being delayed by DAYS. A package will be an hour or 2 away from me 1 day, but it takes another week or so to be delivered to me. How does that make sense? Beyond tired of them.
Geez,... Pony Express speed service... now in silly trucks with no air conditioning.
Most of the USPS network is functional... always number one in Dot Gov web traffic too.
Update: Now my Post Office burned to the ground.
No temporary trailer, no info on where my mail is, no disaster response.
Package was scheduled to be delivered 08-07-23. Called CS to find out status. Package was in Los Angles, CA. Tracking package it goes from distribution center to distribution center. Now on 08-09-23 package is still in California. I am in Texas. All I get from customer service is package is on its way with no expected delivery date. It was shipped "ground advantage" and no one can tell what the advantage is shipping this method other than it was to be delivered in 3 to 5 days. Delivering by horse would be faster. One CS person named Ben hung up the phone on me and had no answers to 99% of my questions. I have called 4 times with no answer other than "it is in its way." Why pay someone who cannot give answers. What a waste of flesh and money. No wonder they are financially in the "red."
The USPS motto is "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."
Too bad they don't actually uphold this motto. I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of their employees don't even know this motto. These government employees act anyway they please and they get away with it. It's a great example of how the government has been failing this country for the past 25 years. They can't even deliver mail properly. It's just a joke.
I've had mail carries mark my packages as undeliverable because it was raining or snowing and they didn't want to get out of their car. I've complained (with evidence) and I might as well just complain to a wall. It's pointless. When a country can't even manage their own employees and basically let them run a muck like badly behaved children, you know we're all doomed.
We have a clusterbox in our neighborhood. Mail and packages are consistently placed in other people's mailbox. The rural carrier always marks things as delivered, but I either get the packages two days later or they are in someone else's box. I am not the only one this happens to.
My day got bright and shinny when I ask for the Manager Jennifer Oh my she is the best...! I have had some issues with my mail but she was there 100% and got me results very fast. She is very attentive with her customers, knowledgeable, kind considerate, smart attentive, she is the best. I give her 20* across the bord thank you so much and God Bless
The post office worker delivering mail this afternoon at the apartment complex I live in was backed into the handicap spot in front of the mail kiosk. The employees abuse these handicap spots on a regular basis. I said something to him about it and he just ignored me like it was no big deal. I asked him if he was going to move the vehicle and he told me I'm not allowed to harass postal employees. Advising him that he's not supposed to abuse handicap parking spots is not harrasement. I asked him for his name and he told me I don't need to know his name so I took his picture. After I took his picture, he pulled out his phone and took my picture. Very unprofessional. He acted as if he was going to the complex office to show them my picture. That is harrasement of residents.
Thought it would be easy to order stamps online. NO. Did an online order on 1/6. Order wasn't even processed until 1/8, when it stated it was "in process". For 5 days. Now it just says the package is "in the system - late". On the order page the ship time was listed as 3-5 business days. It has been over a week and no stamps, and I have no idea where they are. I live in CA and they are being shipped from Kansas City MO...seriously? Doesn't my local post office have what I ordered? Is it not possible for them to just put a sheet of stamps in with my mail and call it a day? Who knows if I will ever get my stamps and it is a whole rigamarole to even get a refund. The post office used to treat our mail as the very important LEGAL entity it is. Just like everything else these days - who cares? Ammiright?
USPS (Houston) delivery has became a real bad issue. The 1st time, I paid 2 days priority for my package and it wasn't delivered on time as they promised/and with the rate I was being charged. The 2nd times, I sent another package on 10/31/2022 and since they delayed my first package, I decided to pay for the 3 days delivery. On 11/03/2022, I checked the tracking number, and it says my package in still intransit (In Houston). Are they not doing their job?
Leaves packages by my door. Friendly and quick delivery. I have almost always had good experiences with USPS. The only exception is "Sunday delivery" by amazon. USPS pays contractors to work for them on Sunday, and they are unable or unwilling to use the phone at the front gate, so they always leave a card saying they can't get into the building.
I am handicapped, mobility-impaired and house-bound. It is difficult and literally dangerous for me to struggle down and back up the front steps. I relyon home delivery for essential needs. For years USPS had no problem delivering packages to my front porch. In the last year, they have gotten the habit of what I call "dump&dash". They just dump the packages on the ground, sometimes over my unlocked gate, then drive off. First only the lazy weekend drivers did it, now the regular driver does too. Calls and e-mail complaints to "customer service" have not resolved this. One CS person literally told me the drivers are not required to deliver to the doorstep/porch! Not even required to open an unlocked gate! So my packages sometimes sit for days on the ground, exposed to weather and theft, until I can have a friend come retrieve it. This is very unprofessional and intolerable, but apparently institutionalized incompetence is USPS's "new normal".
It took 2 weeks to transfer a piece of mail from one office to another just 5 miles away. Usually took 1-2 months to reach destination. Always lost track of packages. They cannot locate where your mails or packages are, until you file insuarance complaint.
I sent a package/box, used Amazon box and sent it to my daughter in Tucson, AZ. Tucson usps said she don't live in that address. So they returned the package back to me, cost me $45 to ship and $45 to claim it back. This is bull$#*!, bc when you Google map her address, it exist. She has her driver's license. My analysis on this is that usps is a scam anymore. They denied her living in that address and essentially made $95 off from me. This is plain $#*!ed and I truly hate usps from now on.
I feel that I should first thank the folks that make this platform possible, it helps to have a place to vent our frustrations when we are feeling so let down & we appreciate it. Funny enough not even an hour after I posted my complaint about assurance wireless I finally received my email with tracking number! Coincidence? Not sure. Anyway I thought my problem was over, now usps had my package! Yay! I have been waiting for my phone for a while & I need my it for work. So I got my first email saying my package would arrive at 8pm the next day. Now I have received a new text every day this week saying it will be no later than 8pm the next day. Now their saying no later than Monday@8 again! When does this crap end? I grew up knowing that if it was an American company you could almost guarantee that you would receive decent customer service. Sadly I'm finding more & more this isn't the same country I grew up in. And to think they want to handle the ballots!
The USN instilled that SOLUTIONS SHOULD ACCOMPANY COMPLAINTS!
Finally, I've decided to cut several cords, to decrease my loss of money, frustrations, and nondelivery of my bills for several months. In doing so I advanced into the online banking method.
This decision will alleviate my paying late fees and stop payment fees. The USPS has lost my trust; and I'm certain many others share my experiences with this failing and inefficient government operation. It seems to have served its useful purpose.
I scanned the qr code on an outgoing package. It took me to a webpage. I filled in the data requested. It was implied that a carrier would come upstairs in a highrise to get packages, which was not my understanding. When I finished filling out the form, the page said it was "processing" forever til I gave up. Nothing that data intensive was happening. Typical USPS website malfunction, at the critical last step and for no reason.

New review
I appreciate USPS, but their online feature to reschedule a delivery failed. It does say that you have to reschedule by a 2:00 am for "same day" delivery. OK. I scheduled a redelivery before 11:00 pm the day before my time. I went through their numerous arcane steps, including "reviewing" AND "confirming" the redelivery instructions. A pop up came on the screen saying this "service wasn't available" at this time. An online scheduling service wasn't functioning at a certain time? I noticed then that it said I had to reschedule a delivery before 2:00 am CST (Central Standard Time) for the "same" day. It had been the day before my time. My time is five hours before Central Time. This is all done by computers. 11 pm the night before is plenty of time. What does Central time have to do with Hawaii?
The system also said that if I did this after 2:00 am CST the redelivery would be pushed forward to the following day. OK. It wasn't though. The scheduling function was just unavailable. So no redelivery was scheduled. Yuck!@#₹%&
I love the US Postal Service! They go where other carriers do not. Some of the other carriers actually turn over their items to the USPS because they will always deliver them. I have always gotten great, affordable service.
Answer: USPS is supposedly a government agency that is also supposed to be legit. However, they are in truth, a scam.
Answer: Close to impossible. They never answer their 800 number, as well as any local number a person might be able to get ahold of. There is zero accountability with the USPS.
USPS has a rating of 1.4 stars from 43 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with USPS most frequently mention post office and customer service. USPS ranks 360th among Shipping sites.
