I would give 0 or negative starts if there was an option. Extremely unprofessional and ill informed customer service reps. Each time you call they provide a different response as if rules change by the day at the bank. I called on Sep 3 to check on my pay off statement as they had overcharged me on my PMI. The rep said they will generate a new pay off factoring in my Aug payment which i made on Sep 1 and it will be generated in 24 hours and will be faxed to my new mortgage provider and emailed to me as well. I called up on Sep 4 to follow up as i hadn't received any email statement. The rep that day said it was a misinformation and they take 72 hours to generate the payoff statement and not 24 hours. I called up on Sep 7 and asked for my statement over email while I was on the call, the rep that day emailed me the statement and when i checked it was the same amount as earlier and they added an extra $20 for the statement FAX charges. When I asked. The rep said the Aug PMI payment isn't factored in until mid September so the amounts are same.If this is the case why didn't the 1st rep i spoke with on 3 Sep tell me that? I wouldn't have asked for the statement to be faxed again in that case and wouldn't have to pay extra charges for the same statement. Glad I am over with them. Not sure how much i need to follow up to refund my overcharged PMI payments. They need to have a log of hwat interactions was done by which rep with each customer else there is simply no accountability and each rep provides their own information per convenience and customer is at a loss.
Chris Colburn was unable to close within 60 days even though he said it would take 2 -3 weeks and now he won't refund my money!
He lied about the process of the loan and upset we went with different company that DID close in 3 weeks
These soft cs reps need some cuddle time. I went through 2 that couldn't do their job, and had to pass to someone else. All I need s was to reorder a business ATM card. I'll be moving to a more competent bank. Usbank sucks.
I've been a credit card holder at this bank for nearly twenty years. I hadn't used the card in several years and therefore only logged in to the account every few months to check activity. Unfortunately I was charged an annual fee recently and missed the payment two months in a row. US Bank never bothered to contact me. Now, they closed my account and will likely report the non-payments to the credit bureau. This lack of customer service is appalling. It's no wonder US Bank is so poorly rated by consumers.
1. ATM machine went down during transaction. Kept card and deposit. Took almost 2 weeks to get corrected. 2. Computer errors when tried to get car loan. Took 45 minutes to close. Terms were explained but different on contract. 3. Changed home owner insurance. USbank notified. New policy sent to a 3rd party who administrates for US Bank. Sent numerous times. Said never got. Charged me for not having insurance. Took 2 months to correct.
4. Local bank has no voice mail so on hold for long periods of time when service is needed.
5. Covid closed lobby. Appts only. But no notice on door so ppl come in and sent right back out.
Went to my home branch. Asked for in person help in applying for a secured visa prepaid (have $20 k in my checking, requesting $1500). Sat down w the assistant Mgr, face to face. She helped me walk thru the online process for applying. Spent 45 min going thru the process. Cool. Done. Told I would get a letter in the mail. Well, no mail came. Why? Wtf. Spent 50 min on the ph (5 ph calls 4 couldn't hear the rep on the other end even tho the auto menu voice is 100x louder), then being transferred from banker to card services to banker to other representatives. Finally, found out my application is not even in the system. So $#*! you US Bank. I'm shopping for another bank.
Customer service dept awful. Very poorly trained... in process of cancelling card... credit card purchase disputed... took four phone calls to verify payt from us bank to vendor... last contact with us bank rep. She was unpleasant and unprofessional
A single star because there is no negative option. I don't about you, but about sick of dealing with nothing but machines. US Bank why bother to go to the expense to build a new branch if all the customer service I can get is "let me show you how to use the new ATM's". If you don't want to talk to your customers just stick a bunch of ATM's in a wall and call it a day. You guys SUCK and that is being kind!
Basically this bank accepted my payroll check and is holding on to it. They won't give me my money I work my $#*! off for, I'm hungry, I don't have money to pay Uber to go to work. This is a nightmare
I'm in Georgia, and US Bank will not work with any ATM's in the state, so I cannot make a Cash Deposit, and if I get someone to write me a check I can take a picture for a check deposit, but even if I could deposit cash, which I can not, cash or check deposit they will only put 225.00 on my account that day, no matter the time. The rest of the deposit will not be credited to your account till the next day! They bought State Farm bank and stopped all cash deposits. Customer service is also awful in itself. Just a awful bank, stay a way!
Took out a boat loan 10 years ago-never missed a payment. Went to upgrade and paid off loan. Then it starts... Needed payoff letter and was told it would be 7-10 days. After day 15 called back and they apologized and said it was in the mail and would receive in 1-2 days. Waited 5 days and was told it only cleared two days ago... (so three weeks to process a pay=off) and you guessed it-I would recieve letter in 1-2 days. Asked speak with a supervisor who apologized and said there was coaching to be done (don't care) and he would personally get letter and mail and fax it to me. /Whats the faxe number? And I would receive it in? YES 1-2 days. Here we are on day five after the 1-2 days-no letter no fax, no response to my emails to the supervisor. Called to make compalint against supervisor and asked for his boos and was told (by one of his workers) that they would take the complaint (against their boss) and forward it on...
Trying to make a change to my profile for my mobile number and it won't let me. Keep getting message number is being used another account. Spoke with customer service and they were of no help. So if a customer has multiple accounts they can't use the same number? Zelle is slow! It takes 3 days for funds to get deposited when sending money. Yes, the recipient is registered with Zelle. I Zelle to the same recipient with chase and the money is there instantly.
So want to raise rate when i know my credit, jerks when they get called out, then pretend they help. U when a manager pretends to lower 5% for 6 months. Called a branch when i was once told they could help nope guy was still a jerk. So probably moving all to the credit union soon
And tell all my avenues on the internet my feelings and not recommend them a damn

I've been with this bank for roughly 25 years and I've never been this disappointed. They've changed their clear and concise website into an unreadable mess. It is so cluttered that you don't know where to look first. I don't want or need to know all the information that they are throwing at me on my "dashboard." If I wanted to know my last transactions in a certain account then I would click on that account. Why is this on the front page? It's taking up space and forcing me to look for my accounts - which should be front and center, not shuttled off to the left. What yahoo justified their job by coming up with this ridiculous redo?
6 dollars per page to get a statement? After 10 years you'd think they could do this for customers but at least the lady I talked to was a complete $#*!!
Manager on Gregory Blvd closed my accounts for no reason, without consent! Left me without money for 7 days while checks were mailed. Absolutely outrageous!
I have had a bank account with them for approximately ten years. I will be closing bank account soon... not happy with bank operations and service. The reason I have to wait to close account, is a returned business check that was made out to me with my middle name written out and not abbreviated by the initial. Apparently, my middle name is not spelled out on current statement, so check was rejected and I won't get it back for 10 business days to re-deposit it. Absolutely unbelievable...
US Bank Bill Pay went from 1st to worst in a few short months. A total dumpster fire with lots of 'pretty logos' and bells & whistles that NOBODY GIVES A DAMN ABOUT. This site is untrustworthy and the functions that made it good were removed without an opt in period and for sure no beta test Its like a 12 year old stole the source code. Now another change that just poured gas on this DF. This needs to be fixed and the customer's of US Bank deserve an explanation
This bank is full of sycophant workers as employees.the bank has no security over customers protection. Accounts I had a account with them when I first opened the account they were so unethical and so upset and concern about the amount of money that I had so unprofessional assumptions about my balance account every time that I would do a deposite they would get so up set and hyper to the point that they would loose their litttle cocarach mind and envy bottom line my account got hacked 3 times they allowed or let a criminal forge a check and cashed. Second a institution from out of state hacked my account and third a Xoom transaction got hacked they are so inept that any thieft can hack their atms or customers accounts the branch I used to do banking with replaced all the bunch of fat idiots with worst dressed up $#*!es this bank imposes to many conditions and regulations and fees to customers I chooses the bank back than because I was ignorante of their ways of doing business but as I kept using their service I got to learn them and came to conclusion of closing all my accounts with those idiots. They are the worst bank I ever known. They are to much caca. They do not even turn the lights inside I guess they are trying to save on a electricity bill. Hhahaha. They are ship. Customer service disconnects you when you ask for a supervisor. CS agents have zero power to do anything helpful. I believe they are taking advantage of my elderly mother. Just the absolute worst— stay away!
Answer: U.S. Bank is NOT A SCAM! I've been banking with US Bank for over 18 years, and unlike many banks (TCF in particular... who's process may have changed by now since they got sued over it) US Bank counts your deposits first, checks or debits against your account second. If you know how to use Google, and you can find a branch by you, you will get the help you need. The statements by Joe B. Are insanely false and ridiculous. I have 2 checking accounts, 3 savings account and 2 US Bank Visa cards, I've never had an issue doing what I needed to do with regard to any of these accounts, and if I did have a question, they were easy to reach and always helpful. I am NOT currently a fan of their mobile app as they've kept updating it to a point where bill pay is messed up, but otherwise it has been most useful for transferring money and managing my balances. I've traveled the country and never had an issue getting money when I needed it, or handling my finances. And the bill pay on their website has helped me manage my monthly payments (house, utilities, loans) with ease, which was suggested by a US Bank customer service rep... which until recently, was very effective even through the mobile app. And just for the record, I've been buying groceries (and countless other things) at Walmart for 20 years... guess how I paid for it.:-) In general, over 18+ years, I can absolutely recommend US Bank. And no, I don't work there, I'm just a customer who opened an account there because it was across the street from where I worked at the time.

Customer Service is easy to contact at 1-800-US-BANKS. Or you can find a branch where you live at USBank.com. And NO, I don't work there, I'm just a customer that knows how to use Google, the internet, a keyboard... c'mon people, use the hat rack on your shoulders.
