How to start work with up work? How the payments are going to be paid? What is the rate of payment? Is it safe & secure to work with up- work? I want a better guide from the experts.
I have been using upwork more than one year, and i have literally enjoying working on this platform. Upwork is a platform where good organization and companies i met.
I have been working on Upwork for 2 years now and I never have any issues with them. I consider them as the best Freelancing platform on the internet.
Upwork is a great platform for freelancer. The system put in place secures both the freelancer and client in terms of payment and other services. Great freelancing platform to be in.
Worst experience I've had, couldn't go back to rate the performance of the freelancer, only had 14 days! Contract was for CDN $ they billed me in US$.

Upwork is the best platform for freelancers. It secure and and protected for both freelancers and clients. A lot of opportunities to build the career.
I joined Upwork about a year ago when my husband was diagnosed with lung cancer, and I decided that working as a freelance editor/proofreader would be a good way for me to earn money and stay at home with him. I completed my first assignment at Upwork two months ago, and the client never paid me, although my work was impeccable. Another client approached me about a job for which I wasn't qualified, and I turned it down. Upwork also kept telling clients that I was not a native English speaker, Not only was I born in New Jersey, but my English is practically flawless. One client wanted a freelancer with lots of experience who would work for minimum wage. Another client wanted me to send THEM money so I could work for them. I sometimes wonder if these jobs and clients really exist. I was forced to return to school in order to become a certified medical transcription editor in order that I might be able to find legitimate freelance work. They should call this site Throw Up Work. When I realized how bogus this site is, I felt like throwing up!
Upwork is my Most Favorite Freelancing Platform. Where there are very good clients. And there are also very good designers Which gives you good quality work in good money
I LOVE Upwork for so many reasons!
As a freelancer:
I get to read reviews of the clients I consider working with.
Using my tracker keeps me above reproach, and it proves I did the client's work.
Upwork guarantees my payment because I use the tracker.
Prospective clients can read reviews of what other clients say about me/my work.
Doing great work allows me to stand out in the crowd.
The ability to choose working with and contributing to clients I love!
I don't have to track down payments or deal with clients not paying at all.
I don't have to spend non-billable time generating invoices.
My taxes are calculated as a sole proprietor.
I diversify my income by working with 2-3 clients at a time, but have been working with my current 3 fabulous clients long-term, which keeps me out of the interview/client search mode.
Clients love getting honest reviews about the freelancers they choose, especially compared to the limited information you get from checking an employee's reference with an employer: title, salary history, service dates, and maybe if the employee is eligible for re-hire.
I believe in Upwork so much, I own UPWK stock and will continue to buy in!
I find this platform very much interesting and love to work on this platform. You can find a number of clients from different countries on this platform.
If you deliver quality service and you have talent, there is unlimited opportunities in Upwork. I am glad that I have joined Upwork and am thankful for the opportunities.
One of things I enjoy working on Upwork is that wherever I am I can always work, when I'm on the go to any location, or when I'm on vacation, I can work and I can earn money.
The choice for the working schedule is also flexible, I can work for someone in Canada or in Paris or in the United States, I can arrange my schedule as I want. Thank you UPWORK.
From my experience, the Upwork platform cares about both the freelancer and the client rights and the freelancers exist on in are some of the best in the world
I have been using this platform for last 1 month and i am very happy to be a part of it. I have earned quiet alot of money as well as gained many contracts.
Answer: They are horrible. Every freelancer I've gotten from Upwork has cost me more to fix the small job they have done. There's absolutely no customer service! I would stay away
Answer: This is not the place to inquire.
Answer: No, just 20% of your job when we talk about fixed price, and same for hourly but after some week it's been 10%
Answer: Go to Settings › Contact Info › Click the Close my account link. If you meet the requirements, click the button to confirm that you want to close your account.
Answer: I am a customer and have had a really horrible experience. Upwork claims a 100% guarantee before you pay anything. That is not true. The process is actually quite horrible. You put money in escrow. You only get your money back after a bad contract if the freelancer agrees to release the money. If the freelancer refuses, you get a bargain offer to still pay them something but still you are paying for a bad job you can't use. Then, if you refuse to bargain over a bad job, you are told that it will cost you an additional $389 to arbitrate with a 3rd party affiliate that the customer (me), the freelancer (scammer) and Upwork (ripoff enabler) has to pay. I took it all the way to arbitration with the end result being that Upwork decided that I was just too uninformed to know their policy and that they would give me a one time only refund of my original amount. What they didn't tell me what that they just gave me a "credit" of my original amount and that was the end. So I am still out the original amount and can't get my money back. This sight is a ripoff. Plain and simple.
Answer: Because of their policy changes which are geared towards the client rather than the freelancer. They have dug their own grave with their policy changes of late.
Answer: Go to Get Paid on PC or Mobile, you will see 3 dots in front of your payment method, tap to select edit/remove to change them. Go to Billing Method on PC under Billing Section and tap three dots to change (edit/remove). Thanks
Answer: Be part and see, dont look at the sold mine reviews people, upwork can bush you to reach.
Answer: I agree with Sam. This place is a scam. They have bad reviews everywhere. Katrina is probably working for them!
Upwork has a rating of 2.3 stars from 2,127 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Upwork most frequently mention customer service, credit card and job success. Upwork ranks 7th among Freelancing sites.
